I opened my eyes and found myself in the World of Woo
A pleasurable place where the sky was pink, not blue.
The grass was yellow, and the water was green.
This lively psychedelic world was a fantastic scream.
The world of woo had creatures made of sticks and tin.
How can I describe these animals? Where do I begin?
They have a unique smell, like oranges or lemons, yellow.
And the eyesight of a magnifying glass, nothing is mellow.
There is shrieking, and at first you think it is something bad.
But it is always laughter, from benevolent folks like Mom and Dad.
There are hourly group hugs, and you will wiggle as you might.
They will scoop you up. After a while, you feel some delight.
The temperature is always perfect, set at seventy-two degrees.
Clothing is optional, and you can live on houseboats or in trees.
Love is free, given out in hourly bundles of happy pills.
There is no sickness here, no cancer, no dementia, and no ills.
The neighbors are as friendly as you would want them to be.
If you want to be left alone, they issue another pill to thee.
Reading books is discouraged, school has been thrown down the river.
The children here are delighted, it makes their minds quiver.
Days are spent fishing, dancing, playing a guitar or riding a bike.
Encouraged to bake chocolate chip cookies, and take a two mile hike.
There is always a dragon or a rhino in your living room for fun.
We do not have any violence, and no one has ever seen a gun.
We have holidays daily, there are festivals and plenty of food.
Living in Woo puts you in a joyful kind of wonderful mood.
A pleasurable place where the sky is pink, not blue.
I think I will stay here forever, now wouldn’t you?
Oh those cursed Ides of the 15th
they brought Julius Caesar death
the soothsayers warning unheeded
mamuralia chased beaten out of city
His clothes animal skins and rags
they set about this scapegoat with glee
hitting him with large wooden sticks
once he was driven out feasting began
All the while in natures ways
comes the madness of march hare
watch as they circle the fields
frequently stopping to box
All this to attract a mate
or is it just wind up their tails
be as may the sight one that stirs
and those mad winds bluster and roar
March arrives full of fury roaring displeasure
and soon is time to sacrifice the Ides Sheep
to bring forth Spring on the vernal equinox
and wave goodbye as march leaves like a lamb
This year the vernal equinox is not on my birthday but on the 20th
Vernal Equinox heralds in spring and the poor Mamuralia is an old man dresses in skins
making him a scapegoat traditionally beaten out of the city to kill off evil the 15th of march
is the date of Caesar s death as foretold to him by a soothsayer
There are no more magic wands
no magical “godmothers”
to wave them
to inspire the dreamers.
No more “threesomes” of
bears, little pigs, or billy goats.
The Little Red Hen has been replaced
By Gordon Ramsay.
Pinocchio denied his dream
of being a real boy.
“The Little Engine That Could”
Is being told that
“it shouldn’t have”.
Atlas has been told
to stop shrugging.
Dick and Jane
have been expelled from school
for running, jumping, laughing
and not having Spot neutered.
“Show and Tell”
has become an expose’
of family dysfunction.
Recess has been banned
as no one should be
faster, quicker, or better
than anyone…..at anything.
Grading systems have become
evaluations of socio-political conformity.
Teachers have become “The Muppets”
manipulated by unseen hands.
And yet……
Children still sword fight with sticks
race each other to see…..who’s the fastest
wrestle, fall down, get bruised….and..
get up again….
TO PLAY.

Family Values?
My great grandmother was your family values.
She scrubbed your floor and burped your baby, while my great grandfather
looked for work as a dishwasher.
When have you ever valued my family?
I work, my will work.
You give her six weeks maternity.
I have no pension, sometimes the tension the builds and I scream at my
daughter.
One time she had lost her keys and sat outside until I got home.
Where had she been to get those bruises?
When have you ever valued my family?
Yes, you like me to work.
But your dogs chase my daughter when she walks on your yard.
Your eyes wave sticks at my face when I drive by your home.
Family Values?
Where is your God?
Mine is nearby.
I pray one day that your lies choke on his truth.
Until then, I seethe in the heart of my suit 5 days a week, waiting for your death or
awakening.
Conversations confusing
Google bots are oozing as I type
Quiet yet quite the riot
Gents lament a Goddess rant
Counting Coronets that can’t…
Hailing comments that She shan’t
Whale her song from a ship of Pink.
While her telly was quite the philly
Her belly was shaking with quiet silly
A butter in the fly has stumbled…
Tumbling his tongue on a British bum.
She laughed as she came undone and
He remembers now, the dame’s name.
Especially, the special invented his game.
Peace and pieces were all to blame, so
Sasanova lost her shame… and went froth.
Up the Gemini and into the Earth…
Tales from the doggie, so Sirius at first
Said ales of Corona created Mirth.
Martha, is such a ham when she works!
Sang a song about six biggie wics
Five for games and one for sticks…
Dear John, Flame of my heart,
Your elip Tickles O’l Neptune’s part!
Dear Ed, did you hear of the start!
Two men in wigs… made a Casaba tart!
Logs only have rhythm… when they’re lagers…
Honey, pass my reed please… near the sandals.dear ;)~

Another hidden gem
To the public, for free I give to them
In the face of business men
On top of the window stood a cross that shined
Beside a man that almost lost his mind
A lot of times
Back in the lab
I always give it a go and a stab
Whether here at the pad
Or across any span of land
Damn,
You say you do, but you don't really understand
Overhead the moon a sliver
As I traveled beside a river
With a pendant made of silver
In an area that was unfamiliar
Full of caterpillars
And other critters
Whether runners, flyers or swimmers
The terrain riddled with tinder
And stickers
Especially where the brush or trees were thicker
When losing sight of the bigger picture
Had to reconsider
In order to remain the victor
Golden grasses
Situated alongside class one rapids
Multi-colored petals and leaves
As well as Emerald Trees
And sunken vessels in seas
Crimson skies
With clouds of many shapes and a different size
Magenta colored grapes on the grapevine
Stick to the agenda never waste time
No time to slip
Got to find a grip
Quick
On the edge of a cliff
Above a crick
Out in the sticks
Full of brush that cuts or pricks
And many ticks
Due to the frost,
Unfamiliarity, and feeling lost
Until thinking outside the box
By looking atop the rocks
And using the moss
At seven oh clock
During the midst of an equinox
A successful day
That was carried out in a special way
And for now I let the instrumental play
COMMON SENSE TAKES FLIGHT
Dredged between river beds
Screams of woe and cellphones
Clawed by sticks and stones
Floating upriver
Glasses unhinged
Shirt around throat like a poisonous snake
Drowning in fate
Kicking up each primordial footprint
Given over to the bumpy road
Sacrificed to the precarious wings of the sky
It says: you shall not fly, don’t even try
They drag his comatose battered body
down the parishioner’s aisles
Each passenger crosses himself
They cry out, “My God! What is happening?!”
Vindication crosses its legs.

As the
story
goes...
A
pesky
fly,
came buzzing by
to rest and munch
and eat his lunch
and have some fun
on the hound dog's
nose.
The old dog
snoozed
without a clue
in the noontime heat
of the August
sun.
He
napped
awhile
by piles of leaves
in dappled shade
of the apple tree,
where an apple fell
and the flies said "yum"
and the bees would hum
and the dog would yawn.
That lazy bone
won't fetch a stick,
or scratch his neck
or care a lick
about a neighbor's cat,...
That ornery
brat
will prance around,
will tease and taunt
the weary hound,
who naps so sound
on
this
dog- day
afternoon.
Hound has no pep
to take a step
to chase
or race
that snooty
cat,
who
smugly rubs
against his back,
and sticks her nose
up to his snout,
and
sticks up her tail
sashays about.
He hardly cares
that she is there.
She preens and cleans
her own black spots,
She stares at him
he stares right back,
with one eye open,
one eye shut
He'll stretch a bit
and scratch a lot
but it's too
hot
to
chase
that
cat...
Don't
bat
your
eyes..
it's
not a lie.
So
what
do
you
think
of
that?

I don't understand.
nothing is made to last-
in a world that prides itself on being sustainable.
I don't understand.
when something is thrown out-
[ even if it's not broke]
because it is last year's model.
I don't understand.
people saying they are against hate-
when they shout a violent chant.
I don't understand.
those that say they`re for free speech-
but shut those down that speak against their narrative.
I don't understand.
why the entitled think they deserve something,
when they have not earnt it.
I don't understand.
the theory of hours of working less-
produces more.
I don't understand.
when near enough is good enough-
what is wrong with striving for excellence?
I don't understand.
when it's said "oh, I'm offended by that comment"-
don`t they remember the old saying-sticks and stones?
I don't understand.
when you make a mistake-
and all you just get is a condescending reply.
I don't understand.
you show inexperience -
you get laughed at and no helping hand.
I don't understand.
when you need to be educated and want to gain knowledge-
but those that can give it, sit high on a pedestal and judge!
Sometimes we all do and say
Things that hurtfully betray
Those we should never dismiss
When did it come down to this
Making us pain those who care
It's not moral, nice or fair
To see tears in someones eyes
From the awful long lived lies
Coming out more and more evil
As we play this devils deal
Never leaving us alone
Turning our hearts into stone
Causing us to be more brutal
To resist is just plain futul
Once it grabs on and sticks in
There's no turning back again
Even the sweetest and kindest
Person can't run==they will find it
Bubbling up strong and deep
Inch by inch it starts to creep
From their inner darkest soul
Losing your sense of control
This evil will penetrate
It takes over and can't wait
To cause more trouble and chaos
Loving every time it takes us
To a place we know is wrong
But the powers much too strong
To avoid the hurt once more
And watch another sad tear
Start to fall and re-appear
On the painful faces of
Those we care about and love
