God's hand has created many a soul
finding its shape as He did wish
ask of Him for real understanding
help He'll give by His holy word's daily dish
Have a real hope in God's word
so those that fear God can rejoice
in one's heart knowing of God's rules
truly righteous to give a true voice
In one's affliction, God is faithful
so be comforted by His love divine
for in it one will live in your mercy
delightful is His law make it mine
Beware of those that practice falsehood
make sure of in the law to meditate
so to never be in the path of shame
stand fast so learn not to speculate
(This is my " Psalm 119 project" which I began to write a couple of years ago, so this is the tenth poem of twenty-two poems I've written over that time to cover all of Psalm 119.)
As a believer in Christ
instructed to stand fast
in our purchased liberty
from our yoke of the past
This is our gift been given
from Christ our atoning substitute
as He paid the perfect sacrifice
so we can bear its fruit
Freedom we have received
from the yoke of our bondage
set free in the love of Christ
escape from God's awful rage
So let us walk freely
for in Christ free we've been set
not entangled anymore in sin
to Christ we owe this debt
For to God, we give thanks
we stand in true liberation
freely given by His grace
to receive His great salvation
AUTHOR NOTES: Galatians 5:1 (KJV) 1. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
If you want to last without lust, fast—
Break the hunger of the flesh by choosing what will last.
When the body shouts loud and the soul feels weak,
Silence the cravings by strengthening the meek.
Lust is a fire that feeds on desire,
It grows on neglect and burns ever higher.
But fasting is water that quenches the flame,
It humbles the heart and reorders the frame.
When the eyes start wandering, longing to roam,
Call your spirit to the altar and bring your heart home.
For battles of purity are not won in the night,
They are forged in the daytime by walking in light.
Fast from the screens that poison the mind,
Fast from the voices that tempt and remind,
Fast from the idols that promise delight,
Then feed on the Word that gives strength to fight.
Fast until hunger bows low to your King,
Fast until your spirit learns how to sing,
Fast until holiness becomes your desire,
And purity burns like a sanctified fire.
For lust is defeated when Christ is embraced,
When flesh is denied and the heart is retraced.
If you want to last without lust, fast—
Choose what is eternal, hold firm, stand fast.

Thank You that You keep me in Your peace no restlessness can topple
Letting me labour with You while I share Your Gospel
So I can bear fruits as my diligence You propel.

because You imparted to me virtues’ beauty
Thank You that You instill in me contentment for my sublime security
Letting me flourish in Your values of justice, loveliness and purity
So I can remain vibrant in Your relationship of joyous serenity.

Thank You that You grant me Your best by Your compassionate attendance

The life of a Christian believer
can be wearisome and lonely at times
for the furrow we walk can be tough
as the route goes in many different lines
But we must remember what the Lord said
it won't be any easy path that you take
the Lord's way was difficult for him
so ours will be likewise no matter the stake
Remember they are others on this way
and before us also in years gone by
so be mutually encouraged to be sure
stand fast with them never say die
Learn from others walk of faith
be determined, keep the upward look
God knows your every step you take
know well from God's holy book
Know well God'll never ever forsake
His child walking along feeling alone
for in heaven, those there spur you on
look unto Jesus your living cornerstone
('that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine. ')

Living out our lives in this world
takes many turns and corners by far
a need there is to be your own man
to stand fast showing what you are
I personally seek to stand on truth
the truth of God's inerrant authoritative word
allowing it to soak into my whole being
sending error away to fly like a bird
Living as I do in this godless world
that has no time for God and His way
spreading what everyone thinks is right
nobody's wrong they say as light is day
But God looks for faithful honest men
to hold forth His truth never to stand down
no matter the consequences that come
I stand fast for God when the world will frown
So I seek to hold God's truth
fully as high as the birds that fly
then no matter what this world says
I'll believe in God fully till the day I die
Let us go now to the scene of crucifixion
Jesus, God's son was being mocked
the crowds were calling crucify him
where were His disciples? nowhere shocked!
Meanwhile Jesus was stripped of His honour
given a scarlet robe put on to wear
twisted thorns to crown Him as a king
spat upon Him such mockery they did glare!
This is the king of glory no less
how blind were these people doing this?
Simon of Cyrene came upon the scene
compelled by the soldiers he was not to miss
So Simon carried Jesus awful cross
would you have done as Simon did?
before you answer, are you willing now?
to take up Jesus cross no matter your loss
Are you compelled to carry Jesus cross?
in your every day life to faithfully stand fast
for Jesus calls His followers take His cross
live for Him devotedly receive His love so vast

“What is this strange place we find ourselves in
Trapped in the open, we are free within.” Unseeking Seeker
Finding myself in the center of God’s great will
I’m blest with freedom*, bound by love’s security
Upheld steadfastly by caring sovereignty
Compassing me so I can be serenely still.
Within the Lord’s presence prevails forgiveness bliss
Comforting my heart from transgressions’ weariness
As I do repent with confession-earnestness
Drawing me far from drowning selfishness abyss.
Yielding to the Holy Spirit from worldly ties
My redeemed soul is loosened against aimless bouts
Triumphing to vanquish doubts and arrogant shouts
Despite struggles during worshipful prayer-cries.
Around Christ’s love-circumference, I choose to stay

With kindness to share, showered by hope’s joyous ray.
Divinely trapped, I will remain humbly thankful
To the Saviour Who liberated me indeed
From destructive sin’s breed, self’s creed and Satan’s greed
Toward faith-soar for life-building so purposeful.

The church's voice seems so void
in this modern age so spiritually dim
where atheism and modernism in charge
controlling social opinion forever in film
so many churches water down the message
where the gospel is no gospel at all
losing it's effect with no power in effect
no wonder sin is rampant no longer small
But the question needs to be asked
what is the church without the gospel?
can it be called indeed one anymore
when souls cry to go to God's hospital
The only medicine that can cure sin
is the gospel of God's redeeming grace
but it must be told truly as it is
and not carnal entertainment in it's place
The Bible says what God has declared
repent of sin and believe God's word
this is God's church only real message
anything less is completely absurd
So church of Christ from death arise
put on your gospel armour bright
be bold be strong and stand fast
it's still day shine forth before it's night
