The Caricature
You like to label it as a nefarious empire
brought to power by an unpropitious circumstance
paint a picture of evil and malfeasance
blood soaked canvas is the final image
mass murderers, the greatest genocide
no good they have done, just vile and hate
inspired by the dynamism of the leader
black and white, no shades of gray
just a rancorous order
the caricature, of evil
the caricature, of misery
black or white, no shades of gray
don't ask, just swallow what they say
the caricature, cartoon villain
black and white, no shades of gray
from what I have seen, not as heinous as they say
from elimination of unemployment
to the strength through joy program
workers rights protected by a benevolent union
clean streets and nonexistent crime
pride in Fatherland at an all time high
health and prosperity never before seen
a million strong salute at the Nuremberg rallies
black and white, no shades of gray
tyrannical order
the caricature, of evil
the caricature, of the maleficent
black and white, no shades of gray
don't ask, just swallow what they say
the caricature, what Hollywood portrays
black and white, no shades of gray
You talk of atrocities and monstrous acts
but for once lets exam the facts
ever question if the victor lacked on an ethical standpoint?
ever committed presumptuous acts that are odious?
Examining rudiment facts, they had death camps
where the Soviets murdered 28 million in Gulags
innocents witnessed terror raids night after night
where The Royal Air Force murdered 300,000 in Dresden
so I ask who is really the hero and who is the Villain?
Black and white, no shades of gray
the caricature, portrait of infamy
the caricature, video game mad men,
black and white, no shades of gray
don't ask, swallow what they say
the caricature, almighty evil
black and white, no shades of gray
they say don't question the official history
yet I want to know why they ensconce the truth
why do they fear us finding out what really happened?
It seems we have a dichotomy between fact and fiction
suppression of truth
history written by the victors
villainize the losers
gain their sympathy
money for your industry
spread the big lie

people can’t quite put their finger on it.
In Wakenda I’m clinging to my mom,
and my diapers keep filling with ‘not spit’.
This was the worst ship disaster, with the greatest loss of life at sea
A German ship that was overloaded, with over 10,600 war refugees
Sank on the 30 January 1945 by a Soviet submarine in the Baltic sea
By Soviet Naval Officer, Captain Alexander Marinesko, who died 1963
Stranger than be; he was actually facing a court martial due to drink
So did this up his rankings, when as the Wilhelm Gustloff he did sink
Not so, by Oct 1945 the same year he was dishonourably discharged
After being lower from a Captain to a Lieutenant so was not life hard
No message gave that it carried refugees as it crossed the Baltic Sea
No war crime committed, carrying soldiers from the German military
The first torpedo hit the bow, as putting crew members out of action
Next hit a drained swim pool that held 373 ladies with a bad reaction
Third hit the engine rooms for Wilhelm Gustloff there is now no hope
With all of this the ship starting to portside, as began to rapidly slope
The ship carried on it four Captains, it was Friedrich Petersen's choice
To sail the ship with its navigation lights on, as the others gave voice
it was to miss a German mine sweeper convoy, coming head on in fog
This grubby weather made the rescue work of the survivors, hard flog
Though; it should be mentioned all four Captains survived the sinking
No information was found as to why, that is left, to your own thinking
Be 44 minutes after, the Wilhelm Gustloff ship was dangerously listing
Another six minutes, the ship sank bow up, her metal soul unresisting
Out of all the unlucky 10.600 passengers only 1,252 of them survived
Most lost to the very icy cold waters of the Baltic Sea, none as revived
Alas, of the 9,400 victims who died, 5,000 of them were, but, children
All those refugees wishing for a new life, they were hoping on building
After the war was over, the Soviets, returned to strip her, as in looted
Signs of hand-made damage, and detonators scarring her undisputed
Not one bit of evidence of human life on that ship was found to remain
Hiding the evidence of their blame, did though, not lessen their shame
In times like these, "are the times which try men's souls."
We desperately need to pray for peace during this twenty-first century.
Talks and actions of hostile nations are igniting into flames of death and destruction. Do not the nations realize, nuclear weapons are capable of destroying humanity? Those who preach tyranny and terror do not really care!
When President Harry S. Truman unleased the forces of hell, when
he bombed Japan with the atomic bomb. He was hoping the nations
of the world would be completely horrified. Maybe mankind would
finally learn its lesson? We are now capable of creating and
using weapons of massive destruction. Mankind, of course, did
not learn its lesson. Creating even more destructive weapons!
When the United States signed a nuclear arms reduction treaty with
the Soviet Union, the Soviets never intended to honor those treaties.
But the two nuclear giants had several things in common, the value
of human life. They wanted to take over the world, not destroy it. They took over so much territory, they could not financially afford to provide for it. One of the reasons it collapsed was financial.
They really did not want to destroy their umbrella Communist nations.
Of course, they did not care about the basic human rights of their citizens. What about the Russians of the twenty-first century? They do not want to really die either? I am speaking about the people, not their leaders.
What about nations such as Iran, and North Korea? They do not care about the survival of their people. They deprive them of their basic human rights! They do not care if they perish from the face of the earth. They do not care if they plunge the entire world into a nuclear destructive world war!
They feel they have everything to gain and nothing to lose. According to God, the meek will inherit the earth. Those are words to live by regardless of faith, religion or politicals. Trusting God is the only really feasible solution to the forces of warfare today!
Love as always!
Roxanne Lea Dubarry
aka Roxy Lea 1954

I was skimming the internet
and found a man who preached,
can’t ever say that I’d agree
with any of his speech.
He hated nuclear power,
said that it should be banned,
that is was just a folly and
would be the end of man.
So I asked this man if he thought
that we faced climate change?
He said he did, so I said next,
“Then your stance is insane.
Nuclear is the only way
to meet our power needs
if you are truly serious
on being carbon free.”
I expected a fierce debate,
in which both sides might learn,
instead he cried,”I’m offended!:
and I got banned in turn.
The same thing happened when I dared
to challenge abortion,
they cried to social media
and my account was done.
No marketplace for our ideas,
no room for other views,
if we cannot challenge our thoughts,
how will we find the truth?
This haunted me for a long time,
our minds are limited,
mankind just cannot long survive
without hearing what’s said.
Our lives and futures will stagnate
without the constant church,
sometimes we need to go offend,
and be offended in turn.
What good is an echo chamber?
How will you deal with harm,
If all you do is run away
from words that may alarm?
And since some can misinterpret
even the nicest words,
to silence people for ‘offense’
is utterly absurd!
That would mean that no single soul
would every get to speak,
since someone [always takes offense,
somebody always freaks.
It’s wrong to silence the people,
even if inside you burn,
to speak is to be offensive,
and be offended in turn.
Even murderous soviets
could not stop what folks say,
truth and opinion will get out,
they always find a way.
Hiding from it makes the mind weak,
untested, unprepared,
dealing with it strengthens the soul
and teaches the unaware.
Difference always brings conflict,
but is that a bad thing?
If offense brings a new idea
that means you’re still changing.
Our minds aren’t meant to be static,
for challenges they will yearn,
to grow we must be offensive,
and be offended in turn.
It seems a day cannot go by
without some fit of pique
over a person who spoke out,
who used his right to speak
to say something that other folks
do not want to be heard,
and instead of not listening
they try to censor his words.
They cry out loud: ‘That’s hateful,’
No matter what you say,
they’ll declare almost anything
to make you go away.
Free speech is not a thing to them,
expression matters not,
power means more than principle,
they’ve all succumbed to that rot.
But just because they are too weak
to deal with difference,
does not mean we should self-censor
to somehow placate them.
Such people won’t be satisfied,
they demonize their own
if they stray a bit out of line,
they’ll cost them job or home.
Small bits of power aren’t enough,
give them one hit, they’ll want more,
show weakness and they’ll double down,
you’ll always be abhorred.
It’s something right out of Orwell,
these socialist witch hunts,
so instead of appeasing them,
I say platform everyone!
The right, the left, the center too,
the up, down, south, and north,
we need to hear all points-of-view,
evaluate their worth.
We need all these ideas to clash,
we need steel to sharpen steel,
so the weak ones will fall away,
in favor of the real.
And we need this churn constantly
to adapt to endless change,
the arguments on what still works
shows where things need to change.
All those who would stop this process
should be called out strongly,
we’ve all seen ‘one idea’ nations,
they just end horribly.
The Soviets and the Fascists,
and Islamist Iran,
the lack of free expression leaves
entire cultures damned.
Those who suppress differing views
and claim it’s ‘compassion’
are tyrants with a smiling face,
who would see freedom undone.
I say platform everybody,
give all viewpoints their time,
human beings are able to
judge and make up their minds.
And if you cannot handle it,
if it drives you ’round the bend,
then there’s a way to handle that:
Simply choose to not listen.
In April of '57 the US got quite the shock
The Soviets launched Sputnik
The space satellite rock
We fell behind in the race from that very day,
That is, until we elected a President named
J F K...
Only three months into his term
1961, April, back then
Yuri Gagarin orbited Earth
Those Russians were at it again
JFK circled the wagons with the White House clan
Told 'em ~ America's got to win this race in the end...
Alan Shephard went up in the month of May
But as fast as he shot up, just that fast he came down
Compared to Gagarin, he was a monkey, a clown
Strapped tight to a board--rigid, upright
He did nothing but endure the vertical flight
~Unlike Gagarin, who manually controlled
his takeoff and landing, the ultimate goal
Then Grissom went up in the month of July
He seemed to fly nicely and pretty high
But at the end of the day
His near-disastrous landing
Clearly was NOT 'A-OK."
And by February '62
When Glenn orbited the Earth
Those Soviets led us by quite a wide berth.
Kennedy grimaced, fuming inside
He reckoned it was time for us to take pride
in our space program, to date a big bust
~ In the race 'gainst the Soviets, a win was a must
So he gathered his courage and adjusted his vision
Set out for Rice University, appeared on television
Challenging us, coaxing us, squeezing us, urging us
with this daring question--
so the Soviets wouldn't be 'purging' us:
Some people ask, 'Why?'
To them I reply
with all that I've got
~ Why not?
Then he set this agenda for NASA,
America's fledgling space agency:
Put a man on the moon before 1970!
~ JFK's proudest legacy
Postscript: On July 20, 1969, American astronaut Neil Armstrong,
took man's first step on the lunar surface
~"One small for man; one giant leap for mankind."
To claim more imperialist Russian land.
An invasion of a neighbor was planned.
Unbacked slander was said about them.
Creating for the world a major problem.
Putin claimed they were a pro-Nazi harbor.
But the truth really couldn’t be any farther.
Ukrainians have always been their target.
The Holodomor is a genocide not to forget.
Between wars one and two, Joseph Stalin
orchestrated the starvation for many fallen.
To feed communism, millions were deprived.
The empty breadbasket for Europe arrived.
So generations later the bully is back.
But now other countries cut no slack.
While they attack innocent civilians.
It’s obvious they are truly the villains.
Destroying homes and those trapped inside.
Soldiers with unjust orders forced to abide.
Attacking neighborhoods of peaceful kids.
Willing exterminators as the Kremlin bids.
But their target shoots back and hits hard.
The fighter won the crowd on the undercard.
Like a hard uppercut from Mayor Kltichko.
The Ukrainian’s counterpunch is on show.
The other Vladimir is a modern David.
Daily turning the Russian Goliath livid.
Shoring up defenses as the underdog.
Battling through heavy gunpowder fog.
Swaying global leaders to invest in defense.
Convincing nations Soviets make no sense.
In this invasion, the bully is being repelled.
As global Ukrainian patriotism has swelled.
Depleting the Russian tanks by the hundred.
Forcing civilian involuntary enlistment dread.
Fleeing their nation to avoid an early death.
As troops are rushed into their final breath.
Unprepared to invade into mortal combat.
Putin’s propaganda machine caused that.
Forcing battles soldiers don’t want to fight.
Knowing the motives for war are not right.
Nations give Ukraine billions in military aid.
Causing global inflation to devalue our paid.
So we cut jobs with layoffs for bottom lines.
To fund fatal battles in forests full of pines.
remember when JFK
wanted to show the Soviets
just how big our dick was
before the end of the 60’s
by shooting our load deep
into space, so as to be the
first to ever land a man on
the moon?
mr. Kennedy’s time, we all
know, was fatally cut short---
he did not get to see Neil step
out onto the surface & mumble
his now completely whored-out
sound bite,
many people who were too
young then to know what
was happening, or those of
us who hadn’t even been
born yet, never got the chance
to understand what it was like
to feel like the empire,
whose belly you lived in,
was at the tip tip tippity top
of all civilization,
despite the mass of citizens
who were being denied
fundamental human rights
within the country &
of course, despite all those
unfortunate folks, living in
countries that we didn’t like,
that we didn’t like having a
relationship with the Soviets,
that we saw natural resources
in which we were gonna TAKE
one way or the other, or
that we just wanted to exploit
the labor of to make the ****
that we buy domestically even
cheaper, taking away jobs from
those citizens staring up at the
sky, waiting for Neil to babble---
things have changed &
now, as the empire sends much of its
military weight to the Asia-Pacific,
in a last bid to throw its testosterone
around, flailing madly in the face of
China,
China itself has sprung a big one &
with the docking of the Shenzhou 9
only a few days ago,
with a goal of having a space station
fully functional, by 2020---
holding up a hand
with that special finger flipped,
in the direction of the aging policeman
of the world,
still sitting at the diner counter,
stuffing himself with doughnuts,
hoping everybody else is gonna just
do what they are told,
despite the fact that one day
his attempt at running &
getting em’, so as to dispel the
proper disciplinary measures,
just ain’t gonna fly anymore---
it will leave him breathless &
his heart will give out.
"dedicated to Robert a Owen...a soldier who served"
bombing the monster and his minions to
on the side of the right, the just, and the true
bullets hit the bird called B-17...falling fast to earth with a shrieking savage scream
end of the dream for super heroes of the sky...pull the rip cord or surely i'll die
hit the ground with a thud but safe in the mud
devils army closes in like snarling twisted thugs
still alive but taken prisoner to a POW camp
freezing cold in dead of winter the commandant laughs...as he bakes the bombadeers the whole camp just gasps
their thoughts can't grip the horror and their minds can't grasp the madness
soldiers think of simple times before this storm of sadness
the bright and the shiny is now charred black and blue
leaving pieces of our souls in stalag 42
one year of darkness days...cold confusion...frozen hearts
like insanity intrusions bad beasts they bite and bark
but hark...we hear the distant rumble of planes, trains and tanks
soon the tables will be turned
soon the wicked walk the plank
most to their ultimate demise and ugly doom because nobody escapes from
stalag 42
liberation comes in red...soviets with sadistic smiles...the slaughter soon begins
cause they've walked a monsters mile
no bullets, bats,or boots...no the leader shows his sickle
now swastikas they scream cause they know their time has trickled
one hundred heads chopped off like pickles...blood saturates the stump
brutal nazis meet their maker in that human garbage dump
a lie would be better but it has to be the truth...evil thoughts can't be erased from
stalag 42
years they pass and days go by just like they always do
at the bottom of a bottle is where i live cause i can't trade the bad for the good
like slices of sadism in bloody drowning pools
can i rest in peace forever?far away from stalag 42
RIP paw paw Owen
