Premium Member The Ghost of Boggy Creek

Long ago when I was younger, yearn for knowledge I did hunger,
heard about a rumor going ‘round.
Twas a legend told for ages, passed along as time turned pages,
strange as any tale twas ever found.
Rumor said that near the quicksand, lived a ghost back in the swampland,
ghost of Boggy Creek always abound.

Curiosity engulfed me, through the bog I yearned to sightsee,
learning for myself the swamp’s mystique.
In the backwoods shadows shaping, Cypress trees with grey moss draping;
eerie was the scene at Boggy Creek.
Sights and sounds were so alarming, fear of finding something harming,
making me to feel so very weak.

In the dark I wandered wading, light of day was slowly fading,
slowly fading was the summer breeze.
Wading through the swampy water, searching for the spectral squatter
squatting in the swamp amongst the trees.
In the shadows echoes screeching, piercing screams my ears were reaching,
eerie screams that brought me to my knees.

‘mongst the Cypress lurked a vision, eerie figure prompts decision,
my decision turn around and run.
Running faster, screeches blaring, right behind the image glaring,
thinking that my life was almost done.
Suddenly was in the clearing, left behind the ghoul was jeering,
jeering for more terrorizing fun.

In the clear, my sweat was dripping, from the chase as ghost was nipping,
nipping ever closer to my soul.
In the sky the moon was waning, my composure was regaining,
gaining back my strength from ghoulish troll.
Ne’er again will I go wading, in the bog, ghouls haunt invading,
tempting fate in baleful boggy bowl.

It’s been forty years since searching, boggy mash for demons lurching,
hoping just to get a ghostly peek.
No more do I have a yearning, to this bog won’t be returning,
wondering about this swamp’s mystique.
I will tell you that the legend, never ever should be questioned,
after showdown deep in Boggy Creek.

Premium Member San Francisco's Union Square

The following scenario occurred via the guest sharing with me
when I was managing the front desk at a hotel in San Francisco,
fronting Union Square. I found his morals promising and conform
to a highly acceptable standard of right and wrong. The ambiance
at the time was understandably festive, and he occasioned me the
day after bearing a pleasant decency. A pricey hotel and a priceless
moment in my lifetime.

Kermit went into space one day aboard that illustrious rocket X.
Miss Piggy wasn’t far behind, so as to be there with her man.
Those W.I.E.R.D. frogs of mine, came along, hitching, for the ride.
Can you imagine what any aliens would think, finding them inside?

Of course, they were heading straight to Mars, for first contact with that face.
Then off, to sightsee near the North Pole, to check out that great worm place.
They expect to hitch a ride from there, from the aliens… to view Saturn’s rings.
Then off for a jaunt to Alpha Centauri to find that lost family of Robinson’s.

If only our great government could’ve got their act together… Perhaps…
They could’ve done the exact same thing. But Nooo, they’re impossibly set.
And of course, Miss Piggy can take the blame if public relations… become upset.
We really don’t want the first people aliens see, to be our crazy Congress, yet.

The W.I.E.R.D frogs can be most entertaining, as they croon out modern songs.
Singing in acappella, with break dancing will add a great touch, as they go along.
I’m sure, old Kermit can curtail Miss Piggy, so the aliens get a word in edgewise.
And with his endearing personality, I’m sure they’ll become great alien… allies.

Waterdrop Marathon

the shower head
sounds the start
a drop of water
drips down her
forehead to the

nose
stays

then leaps to her
lips not getting
licked dripping
to her chin

again
a wait

then because she
lowers her head
he simply slides

off
onto

but between the
rolling hills of
pastoral cleavage

but
not

stopping to sightsee
not even the odd
sink hole near
the middle of

the race
making

his way towards
some slight foliage
just a tuft but just
enough shade as not to

dehydrate
but wait

now a choice to be
made left or right or
stay but to stay is
giving up and

enough
enough

said before a flip
of a coin he joins
others going right
his thighs now

burning
disearning

if the right
choice was his
choice but mistake
is no returning in this

race
pacing

now passed
the knee and
feeling victory
just might be
one only knows not
sweating the simple
stuff having made it
thus far and just a bit

further
farther

then one would
think to be stopped
to sink but sunk just
a foot away not even
feet defeat finds him at
an ankle twist but contented

to sit
she is

so delicious

Just Wanted a Glimpse

JUST WANTED A GLIMPSE
Just wanted to get a glimpse of you
But I don’t know why you’re so far away
What have I done wrong, not to see you?
All I ask for is a dose of you, every day.

Just wanted to hear that hypnotizing voice,
Your voice that makes me feel in heaven.
What did I do to hear every noise?
Except yours, so smoky, and always on key.

Just wanted to see that bright face,
Cute smile, rosy cheeks, pretty eyes.
I’m trying to catch up with your pace,
To see those dark wavy hair in summer air.

It’s just like you and I playing rodeo,
Running swiftly up and down the hillside.
I’m the sheriff, but I guess it’s your luck,
You get away and far out of my sight.

Just wanted to sightsee that indescribable look,
My angel’s warm smile that melts me down.
You’re walking majestically in my storybook,
My prince charming strolling in my town.

Just wanted a last glimpse of you,
But now that I know how impossible it is,
I’ll just live in flashbacks of you.
Till I get one last glimpse of you…

Adventurous Woman

ADVENTUROUS WOMANLife is to live and to chill in.
Just relax and lay back and enjoy your living.
Do not worry about crazy ass leaders in your country.
Law abides and that should tell them something.
If it does not, oust.
Egypt has done this to two.

     Adventurous the world maintains.
You want to sightsee life insanely.
Skydiver you are.
You are on flight to the Republic of the Maldives.
A political escapade you have partook.
You are foreign blood from the United States.
This is your family origin and you want to connect.
Therefore, you donate to the cause to project.

     Exploitation you do not mind.
You want a fulfilling life and one that enshrines.
No matter what the big picture is, your consideration is that life was given to live.
Thus, you contemplate with an inner focus.
You will enjoy life and all its trinkets.

As I Watched The Fiery Red Sun Slip Behind The Mountain

As I watched the fiery red sun slip behind the mountain
I tossed a silver dollar in the wishing well fountain
My dear wish was for the hand of my very passionate lover
And life together that such bountiful happiness covers
She that tells me, "my darling, my sleepy head, rise thee from bed"
Let us sightsee this world, and watch that huge falling ball of red
Me there pretending not to hear, but my lover knows my game
She laughingly dances right on over and yells out the same
And then she lays a very soft and a long passionate kiss
And that is the sweetest blessing that I did not want to miss
I reached out to snatch my lover into our large silk bed
Saying, "darling let just stay here and make sweeter love instead."

As I watched the fiery red sun slip behind the mountain.
I tossed a silver dollar in the wishing well fountain.

I'll always love my bonny girl
So fair and lovely, beautiful
I'll always dream of her and I
And write her name up in the sky

With a little airplane, orange and white
That doesn't reach too great a height
But high enough so she can't see
The pilot there is none but me

It's me alright and how she'd know
Is because I'd never want to go
I'd write all day without a shout
'Til just before my gas ran out

And when once more the plane did land
I'd tie it down there at it's stand
And recall back upon the day
When I took her flying city way

The same small plane that day was flown
That now I fly just me alone
And think of her then when I do
And pretend she's sitting in there too

Next time though she'll sit next to me
I'll hold her hand and we'll sightsee
Instead of hearts drawn in the sky
Inside that plane two hearts will fly

Our Family Tree

See me swinging in the Family Tree
I'm sure my eyes are filled with glee
Won't you climb up here with me
Just to know, what it is, I see

A Family, whose love is free
And listens, to my every plea
They'll help you out, then drink Iced Tea
But, they are the Breathe of Life in me

Up here, sheltered in its lee
We're protected and loved, to all degree
Sometimes, it just might get windy
But, we'll climb up and just sightsee

So please, my dove, come nest with me
Life without you, cannot be
So, I hope, you will agree
When I say " I'll spend life with thee."

If you will consent, to marry me
I'll go running, for that old church key
Maybe kids, in time, we'll see
Just swaying and loving in Our Family Tree

Fourth Floor of Nowhere

"Innovation is the key to success"

Renovation of fourth floor they left to me
I was besides myself with glee

Back room had a door that opened to nowhere
There was a staircase that dangled in air
I placed wall behind windows, they opened to nowhere
Outer wall had chairs and table resting in air

It is bizarre, my son my son opined
Everyone will laugh at us, he whined
In crazy ways, your mind does sway
Saying so, in anger he walked away

I named my house nowhere
Advertised it everywhere
To watch it, people did crowd
Now of me, my family is proud

It made me a millionaire
It's true, I am not a liar
If you don't believe, you can sightsee
But you must pay the entrance fee
