She Gave Me a Bible
My mother-in-law, gave me the love of a mother.
A woman that dared to be different from any other.
She loved deeply and held every single one of us
to her bosom. She helped and inspired me through
rough and good times. I never had to ask; she always
knew the signs.
She gave me a Bible, the New International Version,
to find strength in times of need.
Baptists believe that the Bible is the only authority
because it is divinely inspired.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is God-breathed
and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting
and training in righteousness,
17 so that the servant of God may be
thoroughly equipped for every good work.
I was brought up old Catholic,
but she taught me another side
of divine love and compassion.
My heart broke when she had a stroke,
with it came Alzheimer. Imprisoned
in a rapidly shrinking brain.
As her brain slowly died, she changed
physically and eventually forgot those she loved.
Ultimately became bedridden,
unable to move and unable to eat or drink.
She finally passed, but she left a legacy of love,
joy, and compassion to everyone one she raised and met.

Nahum 1:7 7The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him
It's been a good year and now Autumn has passed
and Paul, a servant leader of Christ had given his last
winter is on the horizon and Paul's season was about to end
so he wrote a letter to Timothy and mentioned all of his friends
Paul had come to realize that time waits for no one
he understood that his time on earth was about to be done
come before winter he wrote to his fellow Christians
come before winter so I may see you all again
he had fought the good fight, he had finished the course and stayed true to his faith
he had came through all his trials and tribulations with God's saving grace
it was his final season and in the spirit he had lived
he testified about the goodness of God and the cause to which he did give
when you walk in the spirit, when you're in step with Christ
you'll be more aware of the seasons and the purpose of your life
Paul was most perceptive of his imminent departure from this world
so he penned a letter to his dear fiends from the confines of his prison cell
to Timothy, to Luke and to Mark he wrote these words
to tell them about spiritual warfare and the lessons he had learned
he cautioned them to stay diligent on the Christian battlefield
and to come before winter as his time was about to yield
It was a few good friends that he most wanted to see
fellow brothers and sisters in Christ true disciples of Christianity
it was a few good friends whom had always given him support
and always had his back in whatever spiritual battle he had fought
he also named some people who at one time had did him a wrong
and said that God would repay them for their actions before long
come before winter, come before it's too late
to fight the good fight and possess a true faith
come before winter and please don't hesitate
just stay the course by making it great in 20008
IN ZEN WE DON'T FIND THE ANSWERS WE LOSE THE QUESTIONS.
Peaceful and calm, kind and relaxed she is energy she is Zen
centered and living inside the mentality of her living soul
she is faith alive.
Her presence stills the air and calms the body
and in all her simplicity, she is a non-conceptual reality of mine.
Zazenly she settles on the Mantra and gives me peace
simply co-existing alongside me, as a servant of soul, body & mind.
Sitting on my beginner's mind, "Shoshin-taza" brings to me
fluidity, stillness, restoration and authenticity.
In Zen we don't find the answers we lose the questions,
When we are Zen, we bring ourselves to heaven.
Shoshin-taza: In Japanese it means just sitting.

Draw me nigh, God of supreme Providence, to Thy heart of love---
with Thy kindness’ fervor, rescue my dolorous soul…
…in need of Thy mercy’s radiance.
I beseech Thee to rekindle by Thy truth's glory
the smolder of my shallow commitment flirting with the world…
…wallowing in its lecherous intimacy.
Enable me, Thy neophyte steward
to serve Thee with earnest zeal…
…against the bombast of self-glory’s arrogance.
By Thy grace*, keep me ascending toward faith-performance heights
extricated from any genuine praise-inhibition…
…though in my weakness, I flounder along triumphant worship pursuits.
*Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

The Path of Our Nation
Hey foreigner!
Search the world map
Find shapes, don't nap
Dog's sitting there!
West – Pacific
Orient facing
Seems West guarding
Though Asiatic.
Blacks – first people
Browns – main settlers
Whites – once rulers
Peopling simple.
Asia's old friend
China, India
And Arabia
But West to rend.
Heel Islamized
Yet, Spaniards came
And made it tame
Rest Christianized.
America's
First Asian pet
New rule beget
Foreigners pass.
When the dog's free
From charms of boss
Suffered weight loss
Makes self hungry.
But, its puppies
Away from thee
Fills their tummy
Return booties.
When stocks will store
Wisely by host
Future's not lost
New things explore.

this is the year of Audrey
my big sister for whom my love transcends
our mother called us "her diamonds"
for we were her most precious gems
married for 35 years to Bill
her "Captain" and forever groom
a women of style and class
an organizer who behind the scenes
who can make any occasion bloom
an amazing mother to Tiara "little momma"
and Taylor who they call "little poppa" too
a devoted pet owner to her doggy baby Todah
who is so spoiled & oh so cute
she retired from corporate America
but went on to continue her education
and in 2021 got a Master's degree
in Business Administration
now ready to start her next career
in the field of real estate
I know she will take charge of it
and be successful and truly great
she's always been active and athletic
since the day she was born
and at the age of sixty
decided to run the New York City marathon
a member & servant leader
at Cathedral International in Perth Amboy
her & the "Captain" head the Marriage Ministry
with much love, devotion and joy
red is her color and her favorite Scripture
is Philippians 4:13
for she believes she can do all things
thru Christ who will give her that ways & the means
And as we celebrate the year of Audrey
I just want her to truly comprehend
she's been my ride or die, my big sister
but more importantly my best friend
Let’s express loving touch power
delighting every family member
marked by trust we can offer
securing home with peace-cover
against infidelity wrecker.
Let’s show respect-touch in our truth-declaration
as we strive to build lives with dedication
teaching along virtuous instruction
nurturing next generation
while learning from failures’ frustration.
Let’s be generous with touch of encouragement
midst our care-giving engagement
sharing the Saviour’s divine involvement
declaring Gospel along steadfast commitment
geared by His compassion-fulfillment.
Let’s cheer with approval touch during work partnership
along busyness of business’ entrepreneurship
knowing that co-labourers aid for fruitful followership
enabling the performance of faithful servant-leadership
in our united blissful stewardship.
Let’s guard our fellowship-touch against bond-breaking
since we are brethren of same sovereign King
God’s citizens with supreme celestial marking
worshipping together toward heavenly trekking
reproved from hypocrisy’s lurking.
Let’s reach-out with our friendship-touch venture
vanquishing selfishness of human nature
as well as arrogance upholding discrimination-posture
considering uniqueness exemplified by each culture
so that genuine unity will reign upon earnest charity-gesture.

A path I never towed
Has no trace of my foot print
Only those that destiny bid me
I have walked and paid my fee.
It is only destiny
That can lift a man
Towards that path he dreads
And circumstances push him
Towards it for his daily bread.
The path I now tow
Is a path I never thought
Just as a farmer dreads the sea
And as the fisherman dreads the flea
While both ended opposite directions
Doing that they dread to perfection.
A Cobbler
Tomorrow may become a Mason,
A Teacher
Tomorrow may become a Spokesperson
And a Servant
Tomorrow may take the place of his master.
A path I never towed
Out of fear and ignorance
And out of what opportunities it beholds
May someday spread its heart before me
Hoping that I am prepared to hold its key.

Aloha Weeps
Aloha weeps
In waves of grief
Pounding on a windswept beach
To grieve the loss of gracious footsteps
That gently walked upon its sand
Where the waves that tickled her heart
Now carry a plumeria lei
Beyond the horizon.
Pele mourns
Her adopted child
Whose fiery imagination
Flowed like lava in poetry
To build new lands of inspiration
Child, laughing in pikaki’s fragrant garden,
Slips quietly from breath’s bonds
Past the islands’ shores.
Trade winds grieve
Murmuring her name
Steadfast
In gossamer hues
Of orchids and hibiscus,
Hawaii’s pua aloalo,
So they remember to give
Breath to her words
Gliding over rolling surf
And rustling palms.
Rainbows cry
Reach out to touch
Her giving servant heart,
To touch her beauty,
To find her na'u garden empty
With only her Aloha scent
Lingering
Among the ilima of Oahu
As she soars on rainbow wings
Into friendly skies again.
The tropic sun laments
In a ring
Of fiery tears
In secret waterfalls
Among the blue awapuhi – trails of naupaka
And coral reefs
That guard tropical beauty
When tides recede
To hear the conch shell call her home.
Aloha Hawaiian Rose.
Mahalo nui loa, ka’u hoaaloha! Thank you so much my friend.
God be with you! ke Akua pu.

Thank you William, Hilo Poet, for teaching me the beauty of the Hawaiian language. I truly hope I have written it correctly to honor this beautiful language.
Awapuhi is a beautiful blue flower native to Hawaii.
Ilima is the flower of the island of Oahu
Naupaka is a small white, fragrant flower of Hawaiian legend
Na’u is the Hawaiian, fragrant gardenia
Pua aloalo is the Hibiscus – state flower of Hawaii

Stand up, I need a round of applause for my poetic pause
Give up negativity and give in to optimistic spirit of humility – you need faith frankly

Don’t judge fashion
Don’t shun out different…the so-called insignificant…

You need to repent…get the hint? You’re so elegant….

Groove with my approval hooves

It gets me as mad as a hornet at times…oddly…

That kinda says it all in one line…wish it was mine…
Don’t be hating on anyone…Miley’s just fine…
She is like a bittersweet, bizarre, and authentic wine…
Yeah, she has a reputation of good girl gone bad…just don’t whine…
It doesn’t mean I’m a true fan of her…I just appreciate her music
I wish people can give her music a listen because it’s, strangely, epic…
