His Story

In a nutshell, here’s the story
Of this Guy and she who bore He
On the surface this description
Reads a lot like science fiction
When a young girl gets a visit
From a being – human isn’t
He tells her that she’s now with child
Though she’s never “Girls Gone Wild”
No, this girl with virgin bod
Hears she’ll have the son of God
And then this being finds this gent
Tells the story – gets his consent
They marry and go on this trip
The child is born, the heavens rip
The beings sing out “Peace on Earth”
And all rejoice then at this birth
The child grows up a normal kid
Doing things that all kids did
But when the kid becomes a man
He carries our his Father’s plan
He heals the sick; makes blind men see
The lame to walk; cures leprosy
Says his power’s from above
Tells them of his Father’s love
Asks them all to love their brothers
And worship God and have no others
Tells them of eternal days
If only they will change their ways
But he upsets the powers that be
They beat him; nail him to a tree
He dies; they put him in the ground
But three days later He is found
Back alive just like he said
Although he died – no longer dead
He said that this fulfilled the plan
That His Father had for man
He asked his friends to carry on
Then rose to heaven and was gone
He said he would return one day
To take us all to God His way
And all his friends then told his story
Of God’s love and His son’s glory

I fear that this, my poor depiction
Came across like science fiction
When in fact the story’s true
The Son of God came here for you
He lived; he died there on the cross
So that all life was not a loss
So sins could then all be forgiven
For all the dead or not yet livin’
He dies to unlock heaven’s gate
For all who love and give up hate
He lived and dies so we could see
The promise of eternity
And how through Him we can achieve
If we love – if we believe
That Jesus Christ – this peaceful lamb
Is one - the same - the Great I Am
That through Him we can rise above
And bask in the glory of God’s love
And all these blessings you’ll receive
If you in truth say you believe

This came to me at 3 AM - I grabbed paper and pen and started writing by the night
light. I was done at 4 and was then able to go back to sleep. Hope it finds you in a
receptive mood.

One of my religious poems based on the baptism of Jesus in the holy
waters of River Jordan.

         JOHN THE BAPTIST

Out of the wilderness there came a man,
With staring eyes and unkempt hair ;
A leather belt around his waist ,
And clothes made of camel's hair !
He never begged for any money,
Lived in the desert on locust and wild honey !
His voice in the wilderness spoke of the Lord ,
And preached the arrival of the Son of God !

"Repent ye sinners," he had cried , "wash
away all our sins " ;
In the flowing waters of river Jordan ,
He summoned all to be baptised by him !
Then out of Galilee there came a man ,
With gentle looks , both meek and tall ;
And looked at him and softly said , -
"Baptize me John"!
John at once realised , it was the Messiah
before his sight !
So he asked the Lord to baptize him instead ,
But the requst of the Lord must be obeyed !
As John baptized Jesus there descended from
the heavens above , -
The Holy Sprit in the shape of a Dove ,
And alighted on the Lord's head !
Then a voice from the heavens proclaimed , -
"This is my beloved son in whom I am well
pleased'' !

Whenever we seek His blessings and in His
name drink our toast ,
Remember we are thrice blessed always , -
By the Father , the Son and the Holy Ghost !

Premium Member The Dream Come True

Through our Creator’s divine patience and design,
We received motivation at the start of our making.
And by this deed in our hearts He did enshrine
A beating desire for the new day’s breaking.

Then descending on the shoulder of the Son He loves,
He depicts Him as the true meaning of all life.
And the Creator returns to glory on high as a dove,
As the meaning showing miracles of the Son become rife.
.
Soon the Son has to return to the Father of creation,
Leaving with us motivation, meaning and love.
The gift He sends is the force of our imagination,
The Holy Spirit of the Creator who lives forever above.

The Son of God

The Son of God.

Are you the Son of God?
Do you wish to be?
To make heaven on earth.
For all to see.

Were you born to be.
The Son of God for eternity?
Do you live a sinless life?
Free from ties and strife.

Do you love all men?
Free from hate or greed.
Self sufficient and alone.
God is looking for the perfect one.
To be his Son.

When found with a mighty roar.
Great changes will occur.
Time and space will end.
Man will be as one.
For ever more.

A human link to God there will be.
Related, loved and close to He.
Rejoicing will fill the earth and sky.
Heaven on earth for you and I.
