Daars n ster wat op ons glinster
Gly n druppel aan die venter
Kyk die sproeiers op die lande
En voels is blomme van die hemel
Deur my dagboeke van goster blaai tor twintigste Desember
Lees dan tussen deur die lyne
Le nog stukkies van die tyding
Onthou jy nog die rede waarom jy moes weggaan
Waarom moes jy weggaan dan skuif n work daar voor die maan
Daars n Dennebos in Ceres waar ek wegkruip as dit seer is
As jy wandel deur die pyne
Wat was joune wat was myne
Ek was maar net n laaitie toe jy altyd weer moes weggaan
Teen die wolwe moes ek man staan
Ek probeer maar net verstaan
Daars n skoenlapper wat fluister
Ek verbeel my hy het kom luister
Die kokon wat jou so hinder
Jy verander in n vlinder
Blood lingers in everything that I am,
staining my desire with a feather quill.
I grew from apprentice to madame
with practice and sheer force of will.
You may ask what spell would allow
propane words unwavering and hot?
Embers tend to catch a bit faster now.
With pure intention don’t be concerned,
what is sent out will always be returned.
Witchcraft is a class with no cram,
just harm none and let the rede fulfill.
The black cauldron will burn any exam
that replaces knowledge with a kill.
So much simmers below a silent vow.
You never share all you were taught,
keep close just a bit of that know-how.
Make no mistake, my magic is earned.
Know this, I respect what I have learned.
Pessoas Poderosas
Analisemos isso por um momento.
Chamamos muitas pessoas de “poderosas”!
Então vamos escrever sobre poder.
Temos dois tempos no qual vive e viveu o poder:
o poder antigo funciona como uma moeda.
O poder novo funciona como uma corrente.
O poder antigo está nas mãos de poucos.
O poder novo não está nas mãos de poucos, mas é feito por muitos.
O poder antigo trata-se de download e o poder novo faz upload.
O poder novo não é sua página do Facebook. Garanto.
Dito isso, não se esqueçam de uma coisa: estamos no início de uma curva bem inclinada.
O poder novo é um poder de valores.
E por isso vou escrever aqui um primeiro rascunho de como serão os valores do novo poder.
Os valores de o novo poder apreciam a transparência acima de tudo. É uma crença quase religiosa em transparência, a crença de que se você iluminar algo ficará melhor. E lembrem-se de que no século 20, isso nem sempre era verdade. As pessoas pensavam que deveriam trabalhar à porta fechada e fazer acordos confortáveis.
O poder novo valoriza a governança – não liderança e sim inspiração informal e em rede. As pessoas do poder novo nunca teriam inventado a ONU hoje, seja para melhor ou pior.
O poder novo valoriza a participação, e o poder novo tem tudo a ver com "faça você mesmo". O interessante no poder novo é que ele evita a profissionalização e a especialização.

A shadow is a fickle thing
Reflections of a darker light
Whose shape is like remembering
Lost legends of the night.
Yonder wakes some ghost some dream
So oft as starry battered skies
Have shed a thousand shattered beams
On dismal and unyielding eyes.
Tis in that silence and that dark
As in the chambers of the heart
Where past and future greet then part
So swift, they twain do seem so far.
For thus is shadow silence’ form
A rede of youthful innocence
Like beauty with the break of morn
Which comes and goes we know not whence
But passing as the shadow-light
As though a phantom o’er the sea
Whose breath is but the melody
Of shadow on the hilly height
I’ve stood upon that lurid shore
Beneath the wretchedness of moon
Where land and sea do oft make war
As though the world hath met its doom.
The shadow of a brief repose
The pause betwixt the crashing shoals
A moment stirs then wakes again
The chambers where my shadow’s been
If love and doom are but a pain
Ideas but over-gloried in a name
For fate hath strangely made them twain
My fate or doom is but the same.

He felt the quintessence of pure sadness:

His body trembled like an aspen leaf.
His mind felt like waves smashing on a reef,
Billows flowed to the shore, white foam so fine.
In his heart, he felt a beat so brief.
The struggling sun hugged the western skyline.
He walked down the path, all lined with pine.
Found a chapel, a quiet place to stay.
She was kneeling. Will she be mine?
He brought her red roses just cut in May.
He knelt near her, though he could barely pray.
She looked at him, and she smiled happily.
To Our Lady, he offered her a spray.
