Premium Member Prayer Moments

Mumbling midst groaning of earnest soul
I pour out supplication requests before God
cognizant indeed that He lovingly regards
every prayer* murmur of my heart.

With woes I cannot utter along stuttering pleas
my spirit is quieted by the Holy Ghost’s touch
hushing those reverberating doubt thuds
toward grateful humming of hope.

As I confess whining discontentment along grumbling pride
my conscience receives the Lord’s assured forgiveness
silencing selfishness squeals that echo apathy
for peace-filled service, propelled by faith.

*Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Emboldened words are "onomatopoeia."

Premium Member Nature's Green Dress

Nature's green dress sprawls lofty upon the earth,
bursting forth with life abiding foliage,
photosynthesizing perpetual birth
that carries a carpet of created knowledge.

Ivy hems climb to the collar of fir trees,
with moss detail, but not to upstage
frisky fern fringes, flower buttons with bees,
roving clover, shade hostas, and sun sown sage.

From fresh fruit to seed to nutrient soil,
plant life receives light sufficient for each day.
They neither spin their garments nor do they toil,
yet the good Lord clothes them in kingly array.*

Adorned within the fragrant, lush greenery
are creeping critters and miniscule beasts
making tasty tears upon the scenery
as they nibble upon ceaseless fresh feasts.

Through new leaf growth and seed germination,
the green dress prevails with flowing strides,
for our Lord gives hope and restoration,
replenishing her green even as He provides.

*Matthew 6:28-29 KJV

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Lord, I need you like the soil needs the RAIN because like the earth, without you, I am dry as a desert.

Blessed Lord, I need you like the body needs the PAIN to inform it of health issues that otherwise would go unnoticed. And I need you like the leper needs love, compassion, and understanding. Without you Lord, I would be like the lepers who feel no pain, but with you
I feel the pain that tells me I'm hurting. Then you take note of me and heal me of my many wounds.

Dear Lord, I need you like The Dead Sea needs to be DRAINED. She receives but never gives; she lets in but never lets out, never lets go. Because of you, I share this Blessed Faith that you have given to me.

Lord, I need you like every living creature needs every VEIN as a conduit through which the blood flows, giving and maintaining life. You are my everything and without you Lord, I have no happiness, no joy, no life.

O Lord, I need you so much like the railroad tracks need the FRIGHT TRAIN. For without your spirit Lord to keep me on the right track, I would be forever lost.

So Gracious Lord, these and more are the reasons why I need you so, and forever by your side I shall REMAIN.

Premium Member DRAGONFLY - INSTINCT?

Today I saw a dragonfly emerge
From final stage of metamorphosis.
I see his four fine wings opening out,
Their silver lace lit by the midday blaze.

To see each works, he takes some time to test.
Seems that he can control them one by one.
Each one having its own mechanism.
The time has come and suddenly he’s off.

This sets my mind wond'ring and asking how,
Without flying lessons from his parents,
He knows just what to do at the right time.
Hundreds of actions done in split second.
How can this be without any training?
Decisions made with no experience.

Some dismiss this and say it's just instinct.
In other words they haven’t got a clue.
Perhaps his brain receives vital data.
From higher consciousness that controls all.

Premium Member Forever Alive

A million years might pass
And still, I’ll worship and adore Him
The One who holds my soul
Guides me wherever I go
Delights me with His everlasting joy
Kisses away my tears – erases
All my doubts and fears with His promise
That His love is forever alive, a fire
Living inside me, destroying the darkness
With light that survives every night
Like the wonder that realizes
He is the answer to each one of my prayers
The reason that I don’t have to worry
The comfort when storms seem to follow
Wherever I am – on land or sea
He is there, abiding with me, within me
Creating assurance that frees me
From needless burdens of apprehension

A million years might come and go
And there isn’t a doubt, I will always know
What it means to feel fully victorious
Because His love is a powerful force, trembling
With inspiration that colors my whole life
In gentleness, compassion, redemption
Because He came and He died and He rose
To save all the souls who know His hope
Is the only hope that brings any true peace
Any reason to keep seeing – that obedience
Virtue and respect come to those who don’t neglect
Revering the One who is the creator,
The light, the love, the Savior… the One
Who lifts the veil of doubt and despair, the dread
That lingers inside the one who doesn’t know
The meaning of a love that is forever there
Never leaving – never forsaking
Always alive, always blessing, always confirming
That, with Him, there is forgiveness and mercy
There is assurance and strength, the powerful
Feeling that, with Him, grace will forever give
Every heart who believes – who receives
The grace to always be at peace, always knowing
That whatever comes, wherever there is the Son
There is abiding hope, faith and love
Dancing like the leaves in the wind, echoing
God’s truth wherever they might land!

With Him, the only hope that means anything
There is a light that shines joy through the eyes
Inspires the heart and soul to always know
His love will silence every shadow with love that lives forever!

It is by God’s grace, rich and free
That makes my life wondrously blest

Marked with miracles for faith’s crest.

Existence inside loving nest
Of home around kind sharing spree
Always prevails with cheerful zest
It is by God’s grace, rich and free.

Beyond doubts of survival plea
Despite challenging trial test
I’m propped by Christ to Whom I flee
That makes my life wondrously blest.

Thanking the Lord for provision’s best
My heart receives spiritual key
To pray against selfishness’ pest
Midst surprises of divine glee.

As I abide in truth’s decree
Radiating heavenly quest
Trust glows revealing praise degree
Marked with miracles for faith’s crest.

Living well, smiting sinful pest
Triumphant along service-quay
I stay blissful, serenely pressed
To declare hope my soul does see
“It is by God’s grace*.”

*1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Premium Member The Power of Silence

To be grateful is to recognize the love of God in everything He has given us–and He has given us everything. –Thomas Merton, writer and poet

In a still, small voice
The Father called to me
Awakening my heart and soul
To love that I had only dreamed of

In the silence of the night
Across the starlit heaven’s bright
Hangs a giant moon who glows
Softly down to earth’s unhurried June

In a gentle, soothing quiet
Soft as a lavender hue pressing in
Through waves of purple and violet
Like lilacs laughing soundlessly

In the noiseless night so bright
With a full moon whispering
Through melancholy darkness
Where a gentle hush settles in

In a breath of unhurried tunes
Music so easy it leaves hearts lighter
Feelings kinder and spirits
Wiser than they were previously

In the moment, where peace lives
There comes the sigh of happiness
Seasoning the emotions with
A light from within, a brilliant spark

In a promise from God’s song
As He colors the world all hope and love
There comes a serenity so supple
It touches the edge of eternity

In the calm, cool heavens
There lives and breathes a desire
For joy so full it completes
With God’s soothing sigh of faith

In a word, silence brings grace
The way hope erases gloom
Light destroys the darkest night
And compassion cheers the desolate

Silence, it seems, will bring
Soothing, sensitive serenity
To the soul who believes
Receives and concedes …

That still, small voice
Sends sweet surety
As silent prayers succeed
In bringing Salvation to the soul!

Ace of Hearts

Some say affection is a farce.
I’d surmise a soul who feels as such receives it in sparse parts.
Yet most will one day find themselves in amour.
As the Temptress ordains by coitus sustained, you will remain.
Not out of plight or by oath, but through providence.
For love is the ontological constant, so says the monogamous ominous.
That who created us oxytocin automatons with a volition so insidious, that both our spiritual and biological imperatives became synonymous.
If life were a game, than the deck is 51 cards; bearing one irrational inequivalence that's strikingly obvious.
The Ace of Hearts.
The fiercest and the kindest, as inconceivable as that may seem.
Yet if a boundless arithmetic exist in mathematics, than it will persist; to be the only quantity that realizes it’s infinite significance.

Be beyond borrow, sensuous soaring sights;
Move motive mind map, leapfrog lusty looks;
Apt applause arrows, lovely lasting light;
Settle succinct sap, browse blossoming book.
Carve crystal crazy, prime preying puzzle;
Lively learning lifts, creamy comfort clowns;
Heap hindsight hazy, dream drowsy dazzle;
Glimpse good grandeur's gift, discerning drips down.
Seize sexy story, flooding funny feel;
Justice joins jolly, muzzle mouthing more;
Madness mines muddy, groaning glimmers grill;
Choice charades calmly, slumber sacking store.
Courteous calm conceives, ripe risking receives;
Brilliant bum believes, attention achieves.

Loose Change

SOMETHING I WROTE BY EYE THOUGHTS,

THE SILENCE OF LOOSE CHANGE,

12:00 P.M. THE SILENCE FILLS THE AREA ROOM,

MY CONTINUE THOUGHTS,SOMETHING CONTINUES TO RESUME,

TO STEAL MY THOUGHTS,MY WALK,MY EVERYTHING,

ITS A COMPLETE REALITY,NOT A RESTLESS TOSSING DREAM,

THE STRANGEST OF CHANGE A PIN TO A NEEDLE DROP,

SILENCE EVEN FALLEN LOOSE CHANGE THE SAME,

WORD BUT,DIFFERNT D'EARANGE,

THE WAY THINGS HAVE CHANGED,

WOULD I BE ABLE TO HEAR SEVERAL COINS,

AS THEY TAKE OVER THE FLOOR,

MAYBE A SMALL TAPING ON THE NEXT DOOR,

I'VE DOWNGRADED MY ROARING OF MY HEAVY METAL BLADE FANS,

NOW I HEAR LESS VOICES THE DEMON WITHIN,

A LOSER TRYING TO OVER POWER ME AN EVIL OBSESSED ENEMY,

POSSED, POSITIONED HIS DEMONS WITHIN ME SO HE CAN
HEAR,

EVEN THE NUMBERS OF MY HEART BEATS,

SO I LAY STILL, BECAUSE OF ITS EVIL WILL BE DONE,

WHY MY BODY IT HAD TO RUN, INTO,AROUND,I SMELL,

SOME UNWANTED BREATHE,THE UNCLEANNESS OF SOMETHING THERE,

THE SMALL FRIDGE VERY CALM BUT,THE COLD SETS INSIDE,

THE DEMONS IN MY EYES STILL TRYING TO CONTROL MY MOUTH & MIND,

THE SILENCE OF FALLEN LOOSE CHANGE,

THE ANGER IT RECEIVES WHEN HE SEE'S NO CHANGE,

IT CONTINUES TO WANT,TO ADD CHAINS,

TO KEEP ME,AND DRIVE ME INSANE,

LOOSE CHANGE....I WILL...HEAR CENTS,

PAPER,PINK,PEN,

AS IT ALL SINKS IN,

SILENCE WITHIN.....
