Premium Member The Haunting Image

It was quite “hazy” in the cold evening
I slithered into my childhood memories.

One day, through my room’s window panes
I stared at the dissipating white clouds.
A diabolical “shadowy” image appeared as if it
Plunged from “ethereal” or an” imaginary” land,
Moved towards me stretching its fore- limbs,
I was too young to realize that it was” surreal.”

It was a “dreamlike”; but every day I encountered
The same monstrous figure in the dark sky
I was nonplussed at the haunting frame.
How could I disregard it as “unreal”?
Stood in my chamber puzzled almost “trancelike”

When I expressed the same to my granny,
She laughed and said, “Stop reading fairy tales.”

                    mine eyne
                   you see not

                  Not important
             it's mine think y'all see

         If mine thought asks yours
do you see what i'm saying

                 now your think iz

                    being tickled

What is a soul?

Dad where is your soul?
Is it important, what's its role?
I keep reading of heart and soul
What part of me does it control?

Sweetheart it's hard to explain
It's not physical not like your brain
It is like a locker you have to maintain
Things about you, it would contain

Dad this locker, are you sure it's real?
Is it like sadness something you feel?
In my book, it said a soul could heal
I'm so confused, help me, I appeal

Sweetheart it's not easy to see.
Let's say your locker has a key
The key you share with God and he,
Can see goodness, your life decree

Dad my soul is it a religious thing
Everyone has one from here to Beijing
Muslim, Christian, pauper or king
It seems more than religion can bring

Sweetheart your "soul locker" is divine
For all those who believe we can shine
To see what we are, our emotional spine
Your God has the key to your inner shrine

Dad, now I see my souls true intent
My legacy, morals what I represent
I can let in religion, with my consent
My soul is the true me, that I present

We all know as humans chopping down forests through greed filled hands destroying the filtering system that which brings wildlife a safe haven
to breathe and nest and multiply feeding us

Man has a poisonous ugly appetite for the earths destruction
messengers from the gods palace are speaking now
from the deep ocean's bed oars they surface dead remains to say

Endangered species disappear forever lost from this beautiful garden
ancient trees that gave us air to breathe for centuries cut down
respect they absorb masses of water as now levels rise

Reading science reports from the effect of deforestation
many species of insects have fallen drastically soon all we will have is crows picking dead bones and the hounds bleeding our life source dry

Uncaring we should be planting new life every day with love
instead killing is all these mobsters are any good at
criminals backwards peddling will never see a future

Curse of Immortality

For a long time, I dreamed
Of a place where fairies doth sing
Heaven perhaps or a never before seen sight
Filled with love and celestial lights
Where I can see the Aurora in the twilight
or witness an angel living in disguise

Oh, the beauty and passion of a fresh dream
Pure, like the heart of an innocent child
No longer do I find joy in things I have seen a thousand times
For let it night or day, what hath come and what may
There is sadness in me that cannot be expressed through poetical lines

Thousand years ago, I saw the tree of life
But to me, it spoke of nothing but lies
There were many roads I looked upon
All promised fake happiness that is long gone
Speaking through prophecies that were sweet
Doth every time the same tale of sorrow was a repeat
An endless journey of suffering,
Man oblivious to the reality, considering him to be everything
Indeed a beautiful thought that spring

I have seen the ravens singing in apposed
Each now and then spring comes and goes
The smell of a field filled with wheat or the beauty of a rose
A boy blushing at a girl, the birth of an innocent love story
Seeing angels doing God's work or reading the devil's diary
I have witnessed life’s enchantment in all its glory

I have seen mothers singing Lullabies
Of a peaceful world where children never cry
"Sleep dear child, for in dream angels will come and hurt all bad guys
And after you wake, God will turn this hell into a paradise"
Yet I know, everywhere I go, a dreadful melancholy thought
That the promises will soon prove to be lies
The soldiers in war will all die
That their children and wives will not be able to survive

Curse of immortality, I have seen kingdoms rise and fall
In the heart of a demon, I have seen the belief in God
From the mountains to the sea
There is nothing more left for me to see
And lies loneliness no pleasure of life can fulfill
For I also once loved, but now lies only memories
When will this suffering end, this constant guilt?
The monster I am, all the innocent people I have killed

Curse to the immortality by which I live
The meanest gift gods had offered me to give
All the sadness, broken heart, and fears
A song of songs, too deep for tears

zephyr fluxes goose bumps jittering across my flesh
Tempestuous weather looms on the wide horizon
avaricious storm intends to embezzle this nautical day
jeopardizing ritual of sun worship, prompting a solemn orison

gloomy shades interweave, enclosing glittering white clouds
vibrant azure iridescence fades into opaque hue spawning dour sky
peerless panoramic plug, thunder rumbling from nirvana
impregnable dimness hurriedly eclipses the brightness

Persistent tremors induce serene waters to wiggle
unceasing wails of celestial hosts cascade from bleak air
Natural forces unleash tremendous terrifying turmoil
wielding imperium forces to ensure their obedient yielding

Imposing coniferous Emerald reigns over dimmed scenery
quaint dwellings foster an alluring air, drawing their audience
tumultuous weather indelibly etched in oil glaze on linen

initially I saw no humanoid qualities in the beast
he was a throwback, not orangutan, but not man either
his eyes were frighteningly dark with glowing suns in the center
how could I communicate with this being?
I heard a thought in my head that I knew was not mine
okay, he can implant thoughts, so is he reading mine?
I tried to be more careful about what I thought
desperately not looking at his jagged teeth
they were stained a crimson red
was he a cannibal?
He threw back his head and howled
it was a mysteriously infectious sound
I threw back my head and howled too
we might not be the same species
but it was kismet that we landed on the same island
it had been a day since I saw another survivor from the plane
a tattooed teenage boy who had run off into the jungle
a few minutes later, I heard shrieks and screams
I plan to stay here, I told the beast, as I built a fire.
He gave me a slow smile and I wondered if I would be his dinner.

The Dream Dreamt By a Surrealist

Life is not enigmatic but eerie, life lives on
sucking blood though it’s not Count Dracula;
after sundown you won’t see a thing
even if you don’t cover yourself with a black cloak.

In the dark of the early April morning,
however, you’ll see Persephone coming in black mourning dress
holding a rock folded in a blanket to find the flowers
not yet bloomed.

Dreams she dreamt in the cold and dark pit during the winter
were not of the baby’s face, but the sound of stones crushing
in her womb;

and when corpse covered with the fallen petals that have
never flowered decaying in the womb, gives off a foul smell;
the maggots writhing on the dead in the casket struggle to win
wings and as wings grow, they fly in the air as a swarm of flies.

When the sun, comes driving its golden chariot in the sky
where no flowers ever bloomed all year around, go after
the maidens and draw the bow, dashing arrows thrust
the maidens in their trembling hearts.

As red blood
from the fallen maidens seeps into the river,
Persephone gathers the spirits wandering in the air crying;

then, the night falls, Persephone kisses the baby
on her cheek and puts her down by the riverside;

then, you hear the sound of murmuring water
go with the baby’s cry stepping on shallow water-bed stones.

When the sun that will never rise in the morning
sinks into the horizon; before you finish reading
the letter written on a fallen leaf, blown by the passing wind ,
drifts on the water of no tomorrow.

What Is Wrong With the World Today

What is wrong with the world today
So many people have lost their way
Led in all the wrong directions
While losing the one on one connection

With emotions from real human beings
Only responding with the days trending memes
Obsessing over their likes and views
Censorship rights that are being abused

The media’s fueling the chaos and lies
Riots on the streets when a criminal dies
Disease spreading worldwide like the plague
The only thing being said about it is vague

The world is more divided than ever before
Conflicting countries on the verge of war
Voter fraud elections current president
Still don’t know exactly what he meant

People don’t know if they are girls or boys
Blindly going along with all the democratic ploys
To fund other countries and to try and make us weak
The next few years in our country seems bleak

Gas prices rising, along with the unemployment rate
There’s no need to work when you're living off the state
Free money for rent and good food on your plate
Only have till the 1st of the month to wait.

Slowly coming out of the COVID quarantine
It seems so unreal, it feels just like a dream
People wearing masks over their mouths and noses
Small businesses failing so that their door closes

Unable to support their families
Because we all know money don’t grow on trees
No support for the military, but all for refugees
Someone make this world stop spinning please

Queens in school reading to your child’s class
My kid don’t need to know what goes in your ass
Gay pride parades going down the street
Trampling the values that lay dead at their feet

Americas days are now filled with chaos
We all know that Biden is not really the boss
Somebody else is pulling all the strings
Who really knows what our future brings

People are calling to defund the police
But doing so will never bring us peace
Life is crazy now, it don’t make no damn sense
America was better with Trump as president
