Premium Member I Practically Ran From This Psychic

I love a psychic fair; I doubt anyone loves them more than I.
There are readers of all shapes and sizes. You pay money to be read.
Some of them are spot on, others are a waste of sixty dollars.
I never know.

At one psychic fair, I pointedly avoided a woman wearing all white.
She had on a white hat too, and I practically ran from her.
Two of my children were as drawn to her as I was repulsed.
They reported I had to go see her.

She smiled when I approached.
I felt your energy when you came in, she told me.
I actually looked up and I instantly knew who you were.
I sat down, and somehow knew her too.

You were my teacher in a past life, she told me.
Now I can be yours. This made sense in some way.
I began taking psychic classes from her.
it was the start of a new development in my soul development.

Premium Member I Ran -

I shared an apple with a friend
I didn't know we were sinners, and
God's calling He said no don't eat of the apple
Too ashamed we had our faces
And then we ran we were disgraces

I was disobedient did not obey so I ran

I held a door open for a woman
Just trying to be a gentleman
She was offended cussed me out
So I turned my head and ran south

I shared my pains with my family
And fellow humans and some friends
No one cared so I cried
... all alone broken so I died
Yes! Before I laid down and died
I hid, I ran

I Ran From You

I ran from you to protect my heart
Or at least I thought I'd try
But little did I know back then
Just exactly why

Why run from what I feel inside
Deep within my heart
Instead of running towards the arms
From which I'd never part

It wasn't like we shared our lives
Beyond the words we'd say
We'd steal a kiss here and there
And then we'd walk away

Then I might not pass your way again
For quite a long, long time
Repressing all my feelings strong
I hoped to in my mind

It never worked as I had hoped
But why hope this anyway
Cause I've felt this way for many years
And doubt I'll ever change

The reasons to not feel for you
Were just covered with the lies
That I continually told myself
Why did I ever try

Cause no matter how, I think that I
Could push our fates away
I still wish that we were one
To this very day

Premium Member My Basset Ran Off with My Essay

My basset puppy ran off with my essay
She even stole my mail
She cleaned out all the fridge
and wagged her funny tail

She went through all my papers
and threw them on the floor
Oh that crazy basset
She almost broke the door

I did not stop her
I wanted to find out more
And that is when I realized
Her tongue could clean the floor

She brought me so much joy
I really couldn't complain
This crazy basset dog of mine
Put sunshine into my life and kept away the rain

Whenever I was sad
She'd lay her cute head on my lap
She wouldn't eat or move
Until I took a nap

I couldn't believe my eyes
When she ran off with a broom
She skidded all over the tiles
And brought new meaning on to how to clean a room

Premium Member I Ran But Could Not Escape

I saw him and I knew he was my destiny
So I ran but I could not escape.
He was right there.
He was talking about children.
Children! I was fifteen.
What fifteen year old wants children?
I NEVER wanted children.
He was persistent, which annoyed me.
I was totally not thinking along the same lines.
I was young, I wanted to live a little.
We became best friends; he did not relent.
We separated and went to different states to college.
I could not keep my hands off him over Christmas.
I had missed him terribly. He was my destiny.
We have been married forty-nine years.
I still cannot keep my hands off him.

Premium Member Precious Blood Ran Down Its Legs

I look at the tree in the morning.
It does not bob nor weave.
It knows the precious story.
The one of Calvary.

Its bark. Its bite. Its arteries and veins.
One’s precious blood ran down its legs.

It was cut from the soil.
It was formed to curse.
It endured the pound of the hammer.
It held onto a precious life.

Its bark. Its bite. Its arteries and veins.
One’s precious blood ran down its legs.

The soil remembered the blood of Abel.
The soil remembered the blood of the prophets.
Now, the soil is soaked in the blood of Christ.
Not just another casualty, but a sweet redeemer.

I look at the tree in the morning.
It does not bob nor weave.
It knows the precious story.
The one of Calvary.

If it had moved and missed the mark…
…there’d be a crueler story.
We’d all be history!

Stable and firm in the sin-drenched world.
Splintered and stained by the Word of God.
From the beginning of us, our shame it held.

There was a momentary pause. An angry sky.
God the Father accepted the climatic sacrifice.

I look at the tree in the morning.
It does not bob nor weave.
It knows the precious story.
The one of Calvary.

Ran to the Sky

“Ran to the Sky”
By Positive Mark

They say my God hauled a**, and ran to the sky.

In my search, I gave birth to an all seeing eye.

I hardened my skin with a roll in the gravel.

I carried a cross as I traveled.

Traversing the earth, and all of its girth,

big belly black skins call Amen in church,

yet still don’t know their own worth.

They don’t even know who they are speaking to, when they say

“Amen.”

So I sought out the council of Haida Shamans.

They offered their help to me gladly.

They said “Shoot those below who treat each other badly.”

They said I live in the land of plagues,

and half of my people still want to be slaves.

So I hauled a**,

and ran to the sky.We

Premium Member If Dogs Ran For Office

Dogs leading the world makes me giddy with pure happiness.
There would be no deception, but lots of friendly reception.

Dogs leading the countries, means not a lot of barking.
Only when they feel threatened, and then secret service would know.

Dogs leading the world means unconditional love in every corner.
Best role models for love in the entire universe, are dogs.

You can slap them, kick them, ignore them, and they will come back
To love you, lay in your lap, lick your face. You cannot help but adore them.

They make you laugh with their silliness, you cannot help it.
Dogs leading the world. Oh, yes! Sign me up. And I mean now!

Premium Member Ego Ran Away With My Mask

Ego ran away in the middle of the night with my favorite mask.
I did not realize it was gone until morning
When I saw my bare face in the mirror
My twelve-year-old vulnerability with freckles.
I had not seen myself without protective covering for many moons

You cannot go out in public that way! I chastised myself.
You are too fearful, too delicate, too fragile.
Where is your mask?
The mask was long gone, eaten up by the hard-on-me-monster.
Ego apparently thought he was being too accommodating.
She wanted to turn him into a minion for herself.
I fastened a concrete wall around myself,
hoping to fool the masses into thinking I was a grown up.

Connie's Daughter Ran Away

To mama,

I'm sorry for the grief I'm causing.

It's not everyday a daughter runs away. But I must.
Forget my bunny hop, and the tangibles. I just
couldn't deal with the intangibles of being left
off the team. It hurts. You were right. I am so
very reminiscent of dad. However, I regret,
not proudly at the moment. Mama I'm sorry. I'll
be okay. I have Rule, Sheldon, Steele in my
brain pockets ... I'll find my way around on the
streets. Don't fret, I'll keep in touch. I know
I'm only eleven. But I'm a big girl. Mama if you will,
forward letter, please. PP.

To my softball coaches
You know who you are,
You're a bunch of roaches
Your brain's off par

Off tracks
You are far worse than bums
A pitiful bunch of crackerjacks
Drinking moonshine rum

I cry at my loss
But I can laugh at you, you
For I'll even die on the cross
To make you coaches out as fools

By the time mama read this
I will be long gone
She will be run heartbroken, amiss
But sadly my life here is done

I leave behind in memory, pops
A Mama that loves me
Forever she'll be tops
I need to be going, set free

In the end Bobby Sox got my goat
With hillbillies running the show
Sorry mama for my lost hope
I say with sad tears, I must now go

Love you dearest mama, Paris Pachecho
