Uncooked grains of rice caked our apartment.
Dug themselves into my pliable plantar aspect
I welcomed you from the bottom of my being,
Into my soul,
A friend that made me feel whole.
You dreamt of delicious dishes dancing
In the taste buds of those you loved,
An acid trip of flavors meant for those
Whose love you longed to savor,
But never did.
You died just a kid.
Twenty-one years full of
Unrealized dreams and the
Omnipresent discomfort you felt within.
All the while you smoked away your
Smile that I still picture,
No matter the number of miles
I drive deep between my ankles and
The skyline of Philadelphia.
At your funeral I wondered
Of all those years we could have plundered.
Would you have been the best man at my wedding?
Would we have had a falling out?
Would you have found the woman you loved?
There are many things we could have talked about…
As those loose grains of rice
Free themselves into my footsteps.
I pound the ground into paddies,
And flood the fertile ground
With a deluge of despondent tears.
A future with you was uncertain,
But one without you is full of fears.
I am leaving trail of scattered rice fields
So you can find me again, my dearest friend.

This treat for bare feet, astounding.
Tap-tap, my attention grabbing.
Lost mind, all reason confounding.

Assim passam os dias
Cada dia
traz a cada pessoa
a sua tarefa:
liderar,
seguir,
fazer

I was working out back, while under the palms
I've a tendon-cy to stand under the limbs
to focus my eyes, and digest the surrounding glands cape
Plantar-d there on the ground was a carpenter ant
that caught my attention, and that is a fact!
Disarming he was, determined as well
making his way through tall blades of green grass
As hungry as a calf, he had shinnyed himself
He knuckled up under with all of his nerve
Hopped on an iris, like a tropical bird
and began eating his way through small fingers of lumbar
that was stacked against the rear of the old cellar door
Diget know? .. It was humerus to watch, how he testes his food!
Consuming the wood from the bottom to top
He tendon to stop, to take a deep thigh,
then back to devour, while munching his lunch.
Lashing away, until his jaws became sore
He must have consumed a whole foot, of lumbar or more!
Prostated he was, till he lymphed to the floor
Tomarrow I'll have only sawdust to store !
Ureter about fables, and stories of ants
They are truly able to eat a whole fence!
Their orbital cavitiy is bladder and bigger
than one might imagine…They've the gall to be pigs !!

Yonder sole walks through life's traffic
So on these streets he walks alone;
On cobbler pathways made of stone;

Trolling throughout the city he goes;
Yet now preeminence instilled solace;
The marathon a walking gatherer;
Hindsight in the back of his mind he knows;
Like in biblical times he's marching the streets of Zion;
Now still he stands he digress;
Embedded of The Souls of his feet bit so gravel;
Feet corns and bunions hurt ;
Done walked miles on this bumpy Earth;
Pathway lit lighted flows;
Marathon Man walk on, he walks alone-
On terrain this worlds track and field so graphic;
