When grapes ripen and flow down barrels,
drunk ancient Greeks abandon morals,
roar accosts their ears from distant cave,
ushers season of feasting and rave!
With every roar spreads odour of wine,
with it fear! he is coming to dine!!!
wander not far, nor be lured by smell,
when he comes to hunt... no one can tell!
When in the deep forest all alone,
just your rapid heart beat to atone,
silently creeps your death towards you,
no rustle, no feather, not a clue!
When vicious claws sink in, your flesh burns,
your scream is lost in a roar that churns,
flash of golden yellow with spots black,
mythical panther is on your back!
Feel his smooth fur, his mouth your blood drips,
pity not self, with death come to grips,
you stare into his eyes amidst spots,
watch being devoured, like it or not!
Your brief swift sojourn in history,
a spot of dust on time’s tapestry,
he has wandered the forests for long,
when he finds you, to him you belong!

Dionysus or Bacchus, The god of wine and fertility in greek mythology, rides the legendary panther! who feasts on wine and breathes out an alluring smell that brings him the prey! With a panther you do not know you are being hunted, till you are being killed.
I sit, listening to the whisper in my breath,
shaping my expressions is safer than meth.
A voice among others, I am poet progenitor.
Do you see what I have wrought?
Heavens to metaphor!
As originator and instigator, I wordsmith
like a predator,
a panther ready to pounce,
an enchanter you might denounce.
Do you fear what I have brought?
Heavens to metaphor!
Finding fluid flourishes like jewels,
writing often without rules.
The singing cantor of candor,
A traveling troubadour
you never asked for.
Do you like what I have taught?
Heavens to metaphor!
In these days of isolation,
tenderness must be no aberration.
Here my casual parlance dances,
offering intimacy new chances,
for all your cares it enhances.
Do you welcome what I have sought?
Heavens to metaphor!

It was September of 1960 and we were growing
Elvis sang "It's Now or Never" anticipation showing
New kids in town for our Freshman year
Our last at St. Jerome's, adulthood near.
We hung out at the Coffee Cup on Berwick Street
Five Point Diner and Palma were sweet
We never dreamed of growing old
Back when we wore blue and gold.
Sophomore year brought us to Saint Ann
Not old enough yet to be called a man
Hitch hike to the My Place and Bowling Alley
Travelled around the Panther Valley
Weekends looking for a brand new thrill
Going to the Coffee Shop in Summit Hill
On the Juke box "Runaround Sue" and "Cathy's Clown"
If "Rumble" came on we'd quickly leave town
Building memories as each day would unfold
Back when we wore blue and gold.
62 saw the Four Seasons singing "Sherry"
Our next two years would be with Saint Mary
Pep rallies in the court yard, who could forget
Sneak down to Henry's for a cigarette
Laughing, joking, we were only sixteen
Drop another nickel in the pinball machine
Flip a coin for a pool game, choose who will rack
Fan buses for away games, have a smoke in the back
Lou Christie sang "Two Faces Have I "
"The End of The World " made Skeeter cry
It was 63 and our time was near
We were starting our senior year
Unsure of what our future would hold
Back when we wore blue and gold
November came and some of us cried
The Friday President Kennedy died
Before the storm there is always a calm
Trouble brewing in Vietnam
In 64, invaded by another land
The Beatles wanted to hold our hand
The school would be one next year we were told
Back when we wore blue and gold
June arrived, graduation day
A time to rejoice, a time to pray
To change the world, thoughts so bold
Back when we wore blue and gold.
Absolut a total blackout
Baileys a trifle sweet with a big kick
Courvoisier won't make you an expert
Drams of spirits to up lift you
Echelon for wining and dining
Fireball wow that was hot
Gin maybe a Sloe to help you sleep
Hpnotic will have you in a trance
Irish Car Bomb most explosive
Jack Daniels a old favourite
Kamikaze is hot so watch out
Lady Godiva drink it but remember to dress
Margaritas make your head spin
Negroni phew this one's hot enough to blow you up
****** only not too many or you will pass out
Panther a real sleek subtle drink
Quarter Deck don't fall off
Royce just don't forget the Rolls
Sake Bomb puts hairs on your chest
Tequila make mine a sunrise
UFO just don't get carried away
Vampire too many you will have nightmares
Wolfram creeps up on you keep a lookout
Xeres Cocktail a treat for goddess's
Yorsh too many you won't get home
Zombie over indulge its walking dead you will be
My lady dressed in black to please,
Adorned now in a black silk gown.
I watched as she with grace did ease,
A flight of steps then to the ground.
Adorned now in a black silk gown,
Coming with a sheen so bright.
A flight of steps then to the ground,
To see her was a great delight..
Coming with a sheen so bright,
With the long black stole she wore.
To see her was a great delight,
Her beauty out shown a sunset shore.
With the long black stole she wore,
While around her neck hung black pearls.
Her beauty out shown a sunset shore,
Now from her hair where two long curls.
While around her neck hung black pearls,
When to a concert she arrived.
Now from her hair hung two black curls,
Just then the music came alive.
When to a concert she arrived,
All eyes became then fixed one her.
Just then the music came alive,
With this lass a panther with a purr
All eyes became then fixed on her,
When to a restaurant she went.
With this lass a panther with a purr
Seemed to have been heaven sent.
When to a restaurant she went'
She turned each head when walking in.
Seemed to have been heaven sent,
Just then she looked and cracked a grin.
She turned each head when walking in,
But now it's time for her to go.
Just then she looked and cracked a grin,
At the arrival of her bow.
But now it's time for her to go,
When to his cheek she gave a kiss.
Their hand now did together weave,
They looked to have eternal bliss.
When to his cheek she gave a kiss,
I watched as she with grace did ease.
They looked to have eternal bliss,
My lady dressed in black to please.
What i love
further in this life,
It's woman...
woman of any
creed, race and color...:
female,
femme.
female...
long hair
firm ideas.
woman is formidable
pure mother,
sweet girl,
beast, feline that
attacks and defends,
as the panther in the vision
male...
Always present
always companion.
is occasionally fragile,
other times
she is adrenaline...
night female
fiesta girl... fatal
or simple
homemade...
Several types exist,
quiet homes,
bossy matrons,
family matriarchs,
mounted amazons
everything is wonderful...
other different types
are models that appear,
are pin up hanging,
women displayed...
Arrogant socialites,
dazzled
nouveau riche, and others
fighters...Joana Dàrc
of life...
the poor women,
the excluded poor,
no vote, no dowry
no right...
Awkwardly or not awkwardly
there is no other way...
want it or not
angry, not angry,
no dispute and no fight,
the woman is all nice
is the best in this life...!

WOOHOO WOOHOO
Was HeartSpace Void or
were there cobwebs and
white lace, ladders and portals
like they said ?
It was spacy
I tried to find a
Centre, then mnemonic
music tumbled down
filled with numbers
I could not read
I heard names and
more names
Julia, Steph, Connor
Malik, Satima, Des
Charlie, Oscar
Across jumped a
black panther, then
came tigers
a Persian cat
an entire Lyran tribe
No, it was not Void
HeartSpace was not
Void
Woohoo Woohoo
White lace and white lice
two in one
the Third was
Void
the Third breathed life !
a single yellow Ace
A Golden, Golden Ace
perfection timed perfection
Holidays became holidaze
drunk, drunk daze
a karmic with a grey beard
no nose, curly locks, curly locks
Woohoo Woohoo
An owl and a pussy cat
Yes, many seats
no green notes
guitar, notepads, needles
cotton reels and there
was a Freudian slip !
a Nazi salute !!
can you believe
can you believe
across HeartSpace
where black Void and
Home should have been
Woohoo Woohoo
There is no in and
there is no out
there’s no right
no wrong
no left no right
no right no left
Just conscious quantum
waves across illusions of
bodies, ships, homes
boats without bosuns
crews without crew caps
youth in woodies, white smiles
Woohoo Woohoo
What is this Consciousness
what is this ?!
Just qualia programmes
qualia programmes
for MY fun and joy
MY fun and joy
Woohoo Woohoo

Me, if I don’t see a cornfield in the morning,
I am unhappy,
Me, if I don’t see a deer in a field, in the morning,
I am unhappy,
If I don’t dream about an hippopotamus in his lake in Kenya,
I am unhappy twice,
Me, if I don’t cross an oak and birches forest,
In the morning, I am unhappy,
If I don’t think of a witch on her broom,
If I don’t see a wild flower, a poppy,
I am unhappy,
If I don’t talk to plants or animals,
I’m unhappy for the day,
But what makes me most unhappy is to drink
My coffee, without you, you my panther, chatting like a
Chocolate bar, cruel as a well,
What do you want, I need other company,
I need to see a cornfield in the morning,
To be happy. Or to see peaceful deer
Go through my thoughts.
Oh Niger!
Our brave Niger,
Who used to breathe
Breathing life
Into our jungle:
Into beasts
Into fishes
Into birds
Even into man.
In those days
When top trees
Served as mere ground
For the squirrel;
In those days
When top trees
Served as mere ground
For monkey
When the bare-handed hunter
Caught alive the panther.
But now!
The beasts are reasoning
And beastly is the man
The trees are stunting
And plumeless are the birds
The fishes are panting to death
Because our Niger has lost her breath.
O noble Niger,
Our loving Niger
Now suffocating, you are
In the midst of mixed air!
