Premium Member Missing Our Friend

Skies are dark and dreary,
This day we won't forget;
Ol' Ollie was our favorite,
Far more than just a pet

A naughty lil' imp,
Knock-kneed and proud;
Meowin' like a siren,
Geez, that cat was loud!

It was on this frigid morning,
We lost our furry friend;
Reality's stunning anguish,
Death fails to comprehend

Spoiled rotten and witty,
You'd swear he was a dog;
A happy treat to pacify,
While sleeping like a log

Looking on the good days,
Diminished are the bad;
We lost a friend forever,
The best we've ever had

Death never comforts,
We failed to see your end;
Our tears concede to obscurity,
Farewell to a loyal friend...

Heart on a beach Our Infinite Love is never lost

Inspired by the Infinite Love that we are and we have. You are Love. You are never alone. You are loved by God, His Angels and the Universe.

Also inspired by Nature's blessings and beauty.

Heart on a beach
(Our Infinite Love is never lost)
By Michelle Morris
03/06/2025

I found a heart on the beach
All alone in the sand
Beautiful and perfect
It fit perfectly in my hand

I wonder who lost it
And if they miss it now
I wonder if it was created
By the Universe's prowess

I wonder if God sent it
To remind me of His Grace
I wonder if someone left it
To forget about their aching

But all my wondering
Makes no difference in the world
For here lies this heart
Alone in my palm unfurled

And on the beach I'll place it
To leave it where it was
For the ocean to embrace it
For our Infinite Love is never lost

Our 2008 Thanksgiving Letter
to a Friend Missing for twenty five years

Last night our pastor asked everyone who would (or could) to stand and tell of the things we were thankful for as we lead into Thanksgiving. I didn’t stand but it caused me to think of the happenings this year in my life. The thing that I’m most thankful for they probably would have had a hard Time understanding anyway; I’m thankful that I have a Christian home and a Savior who loved me long before I loved him; I have a wife who has tolerated all my idiosyncrasies throughout our married life and still loves Me. ( is she good or what?) I am thankful for our health and all God’s Blessings, which often, I’m prone to take for granted. I feel there is no greater thing in life than to be loved and share my love with others; One
Thing I’m giving special thanks for this year is that when God put our
Names in your heart and mind, you responded and sought us out giving us your love unconditionally; The most important part of any journey is that first step; Thank God you took that step; I wish I could tell you just how important that has been but I’m afraid all it would amount to would be a very long hug and a wet shoulder. (I’m sorry for that) anyway, I believe you already know that I feel like a long lost adopted uncle that You didn’t know you had. Ha Ha you have made this year one I’ll always remember. I’m also thankful that you live close to your family and have no fences breached with any of your family. Oh yes, I’m also thankful for Starbucks and a fine man called Ricky. I just about bubble over when he talks of how much he loves you and what you mean to him. God bless you both. I pray that you both always feel this way. I’ve finished with the book project I was working on and keep picking up Pecans as the wind blows them off. We have about seven gallons from the Patio tree so far. Wishing you both the best Thanksgiving ever and that you remember us
When you pray. We love you both,

Thanks

finding ourselves here
awareness self-aware
ensouling form feeble
sensory touch external
our lower mind stirring
found ego urges rising
oft against conscience
throttling our innocence
reinforcing this torture
veiling love hues subtler
until we became dead
going where desires led
in cyclic joy and sorrow
fearful of the morrow
anchored in narrowness
living in stuporousness

over time we did realise
that love never does size
playful non-judgmental
ever vibrant and amiable
aglow moment to moment
in joy without abatement
continuum heart centric
imbibing currents eclectic
simply flowing like breeze
we embrace and release
when thoughts disappear
as waves of bliss spear
magically and osmotically
vivifying form beauteously
representing flow of life
devoid of ego borne strife

getting to this recognition
we opt for polarity rotation
resting thought fragmented
identity driven and limited
releasing flow of attention
in vibrant void of cessation
wherein in childlike trust go
wherever winds of love blow
with no trace of expectation
as also sense of anticipation
welcoming offered surprise
there being no ego to apprise
whereupon one with universe
aligned with the divine verse
thus in but not of this world
innate blissfulness unfurled

choosing to abide in silence
we rekindle loving innocence
as Gods essence boundless
ever entwined with oneness
this earth is our play centre
where in joy we may canter
mind body but an interface
being breathed by His grace
thus no doing need be done
save exiting ego stagnation
fixated not at any coordinate
tranquil in stillness sedate
melding head with our heart
with all one and none apart
is-ness of being-ness bliss
Gods hand continues to bless

No One In Particular - In the Wake of Our Dreams

No one in particular (in the wake of our dreams)

We don’t look like they do,
graphic replicas of a life in tatters,
drifting on lonesome clouds
Dove’s wing spread
capturing the wind,
waving goodbye to an existence
that dreams in black and white,
fashioning commercials
like chip and salsa dispensers

Camouflaged by sadness,
greens and browns woven in corduroy overalls
Contemplating the loss
before the beginning creates a title
and words have only meaning
for others who chose to read
and believe that each day
is a jewel in the crown of the month

Floating on seas of discontent
even though heart shaped sails
reflect on horizons
much closer than they appear
but still so far away
that silhouettes resemble unmentionables
as others keep a watchful eye
for anything that even seems
like a tide fueled rumor,
just because they can

Still, we don’t look like they do,
maybe because our visions come through
a brilliant sunrise and we realize
we do need somebody
and we won’t hesitate to cherish,
quietly of course,
those who come to touch us
in the wake of our dreams,
hiding in plain sight,
disguised as no one
in particular

dizzy, from my shameless lust
i paint your mouth with mine.
nipping, brushing faces,
breathing you like oxygen.

my fingers, my lips, my tongue
upon your naked back
draw a map to my destination
via the scenic route no doubt

starving
for your wet lips.
make a meal of this

Lost in the carnage of our intimacy.
I move with the fervor of a ravenous beast.
 Your body undulates
to the movement of my mania.
Juices glow like the fountain of youth.

I move in and out
conduct a symphony of pleasure,
bury my face deep
in the sweet skin of creation.

waltz against a canvas dark
pin holes of silver dust.

weightless
in a friction free atmosphere
eternal pleasure,
a sweet honeysuckle taste
a foreplay crescendo.

 I the ocean,
 tide after tide
the ebb and flow
a sculptured reef.

The screams of seagulls in the air,
rushing waters eternal
breaking hard and fast
 the sunken coral.

a multitude of tidal waves
simultaneous explosions
tight as one we hold
freeze in the heat of our moment.

It must be an hour now
you are lying at my side.
your head on my chest.

 I play with your hair
stroke your flesh
our eyes meet,
we kiss
long, hard
passionately...

Why Do We Expose Our Young People To Daily Mindless Violence

they sit in front of the screen,
blue light buzzing in their skulls,
plastic guns in Facebook hands,

outside, the sirens wail like hungry dogs,
the streets are cracked veins bleeding,
somewhere, a boy is learning to hate.

fists swing in school hallways,
knives flick open like second thoughts,
a mother checks the news,
sees another name,
another body,
another child gone.

we teach them how to kill before they learn to live,
show them war before we show them love,
give them bullets before we give them books.

men in suits count the profits,
smile as the numbers climb,
another war, another market,
another grave to dig.

and the kids, they dream in gunfire,
grow up with bruised knuckles,
hollow hearts,
laugh at the blood on their hands.

when did the world decide
that dead boys make good business,
that broken minds are easy to control?

turn off the screen.
open the window.
teach them something else.

Premium Member The Autumn of Our Love

Our love, it's not a raging fire,
Consuming all in its wild desire.
No, it's a hearth, softly aglow,
Warming our souls, calming the flow.

The passion of youth has long since passed,
But in its place, a bond built to last.
Our friendship, a sturdy oak tree,
Roots deeply planted, strong and free.

The storms of life have come and gone,
Yet our branches reach ever onward.
Gnarled with time, but unbowed by strife,
We stand tall, and eternal in this life.

Our conversations, gentle streams,
Meandering through memories and dreams.
No longer rapids, rushing, wild,
But serene pools, reflective, mild.

The love we share, a harvest moon,
Bathing us in its radiant tune.
No longer the blazing noon sun,
But with a soft light, our day is done.

Though our steps may be slower now,
And silver threads grace every brow,
Our hearts still beat as one, my dear,
In this autumn of our love, so clear.

For what we have, this precious bond,
It is not the fire of youth beyond.
No, it's the warmth of a lifetime shared,
A love that has been deeply cared for.

So let us sit, and rest awhile,
Watching the world go by with a smile.
For in this season of mature bliss,
Our love, and our friendship, will never miss.

Premium Member Jehovah Nissi - the Lord Is Our Banner - Exodus 14: 13,14

Moses brings us to his wilderness wanderings
leading God's people all the way through
many hardships experienced on the road
this battle was for real hope always ever new

The message for these Israelites
that their leader conveyed to their ears
fear not, stand firm, see God's salvation
believe in God no matter the tears

Have faith in your sovereign God
as God's people see their enemy today
whom you see today you'll never see again
Moses spoke the truth this he did say

Moses as God's prophet called upon
Lord Jehovah Nissi in Exodus 17v15
'The Lord is our banner' so divine
what greater comfort can be seen

The prophet of God did declare
stand true for the Lord will fight for you
and you have only to be silent
a perfect promise for you to view

("And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”.)- Exodus 14: 13,14
