February 27 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Deuteronomy 1-2

Key Verse – Deuteronomy 1:10 The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

FAITH IN GOD WHO MULTIPLIES OUR BLESSINGS

God multiplies our blessings along His victory
With our faith established for His glory
Making us courageous against worry
To advance His kingdom-territory.

God multiplies our blessings along His truth’s voice
With our faith exhorted for Scriptural poise
Making us steadfast against worldliness-noise
To cleave to His grace with our wise choice.

God multiplies our blessings along His leading
With our faith strengthened through Bible reading
Making us study, while meditating midst prayer-pleading
To grow spiritually, nourished by His feeding.

God multiplies our blessings along His covenant
With our faith fortified by miracles He does grant
Making us satisfied as He meets our need and want
To stay thankful, but not remain stagnant or dormant.

God multiplies our blessings along His promises
With our faith fixed to Him as our understanding He raises
Making us assured against unbelief that oppresses
To share His grace with peace and mercy-forces.

God multiplies our blessings along His provision
With our faith driven toward His great commission
Making us zealous against failure-caused suppression
To wins souls by His compassion.

God multiplies our blessings along His nurturing care
With our faith settled in His loving welfare
Making us devoted to Him against deceitful stare
To esteem Him as His Gospel we share.

Premium Member The Alone

(No Hope)

The alone...
oppresses me.
She settles inside of
the life she has stole,
leaving the shell of me,
as cold as stone.
Oblivion so close
I can feel it's low groan.
For my sadness and sin
you now make me atone.
I can't bear the weight
of the cost of your toll.
It presses me down,
my body left prone.
I try and I try
to escape my hellhole,
but scream as I might
no one will come.
My courage betrays me
and I'm chilled to the bone.
I fear deep inside me
I can never go home,
like leaves on a breeze
my hope has now flown.

The alone...
surrounds me.
She beckons me,
emptying my soul.
Her darkness engulfs me,
everything gone.
The nothing inside of me,
but dark seeds you have sewn.
The sorrow so thick
I can't breath on my own.
I wade through the mud
of memories you control.
My heart has withdrawn,
lost in the unknown.
Deeper and deeper
drowning in this hole,
I scratch at this pit
till my fingers are numb.
My story but a book
of indifferent monotone.
No escape can I find
from this perilous tome,
as my spirit lies dying
beneath this tombstone.

Freedom Reigns

"'Cause when your back's against the wall
That's when you show no fear at all
And when you're running out of time
That's when you hitch your star to mine
We won't be leaving by the same road that we came by"

~Keane - My Shadow Lyrics ~

------------------------------------------------------------

There is no celestial place for you to guide my thoughts
Can you not see that I am free from you?
I am a black bird perched high in the treetops
You will hear my crowing and you may hate it
But my dear, you cannot take away my voice!
Yet still, as fire oppresses forests of life,
You can abuse my freedom to find your glory
You may discard these words for your love of gods,
And in so doing you may simply ignore
All the cries that I so passionately utter

But my infectious species will guide your mind straight back
To that once so lonely treetop where you merely glanced
And there will be multitudinous, oppressing thoughts
That shall enslave you and bind you unwillingly
The crows will only grow louder when you turn away—
When you pretend to ignore with your remaining, strangling pride
For my voice is a production sent from above
Dispatched to judge you pitilessly for your swelling lies!
And the choirs of ferocious beaks shall open forever
Harmony and dissonance as one

The Slaughterer

The slaughterer came to the market

Dancing and wielding a matchet

He sang songs of sorrow;

And wrote rhymes for his victims of tomorrow.

He grabs lands at his will

There is nothing he cannot steal.

He has stolen people’s identities

In his quest to commit atrocities.

The slaughterer’s threat is real

With the devil he had struck a deal

To kill those who opposes him

For in his face we are all Gohim.

The slaughterer detests peace

With him the world is no longer at ease.

He spares not innocent children

And he blackmails his brethren.

The slaughterer swims and drinks

From the gruesome river of blood

Of women and children he had killed

In the face of the world’s hypocrisy.

The slaughterer in Tel-Aviv has gone mad

From the boarders of Jordan, Lebanon and Islamabad,

He longs to destroy those he stole their lands.

And return homes back to dust and sands.

The slaughterer’s cowardice is imminent

When he meets his match on the battle-field

He runs to his accomplice in the devil’s own land

For money and the tools of his crimes

And now that we know the slaughterer

That maims children and women at will

He calls us all anti-Semites;

A name he stole from those whom he now oppresses.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Your Compassion Toward Me

August 6 Scripture Meditations Based on Lamentations 1-5

Key Verse – Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMPASSION TOWARD ME

Thank You for Your compassion toward me midst my misery
When I’m lonely, being pitiful and solitary
Feeling sorry as if enclosed around unbelief-treachery---
Here am I, seeking for Your love, full of victory.

Thank You for Your compassion toward me midst my affliction
When I’m weak, murmuring over dissatisfaction
Feeling sick in battling against worldliness-temptation---
Here am I, begging for Your help and direction.

Thank You for Your compassion toward me midst my bitterness
When I’m envious, magnifying scarcity’s emptiness
Feeling jealous about others’ resources’ bountifulness---
Here am I, trusting Your provisions of ready supply-goodness.

Thank You for Your compassion toward me midst my discontentment
When I’m frustrated, losing heavenly excitement
Feeling worthless in wallowing into vanity-predicament---
Here am I, reaching out to Your kindness’ fulfillment.

Thank You for Your compassion toward me midst my insecurity
When I’m fearful, trembling at faith-advancement opportunity
Feeling unable in moving forward, upward beyond any adversity---
Here am I, depending on Your strength’s great stability.

Thank You for Your compassion toward me midst my arrogance
When I’m haughty, pursuing over earthly fame and abundance
Feeling self-sufficient in my accomplishment-driven endurance---
Here am I, surrendering to Your majesty of divine elegance and extravagance.

Thank You for Your compassion toward me midst my distresses
When I’m dismayed, sinking deep into lamentation that oppresses
Feeling depressed in succumbing to discouraging discourses---
Here am I, praising Your name for forgiving my offenses.

Caught In a Haze

The grey oppresses;
surrounded by fog,
 I traverse this shadowland;
Dorothy in reverse,
stuck in this land of monochrome
Xerox grayscale in 2-D.
Hoping it is but a dream,
valiantly, I stroke in Technicolor
Only to see it erased, again
It is no more real than the specters
haunting my thoughts.

Still I stumble around searching;
hues of hope hover out of reach
as these low-lying clouds
cast a pall-- blinding me to joy.

Perhaps, I'm trapped
 in Tim Burton's sketch board;
these monoliths of grotesque
caricature evidence such.
At every turn there is a new one,
popping out of the mists.
Large, unmoving blocks of black granite
ring me like Stonehenge-- surrounded--
Leaving me wandering this maze of dark surrealism.

Glimpses of color reveal themselves
in the distance through the shroud,
ephemera teasing my senses.
Blow! benign zephyrs;
sweep away the haze
invading my peace.
Rescue me the confines
of my self-induced prison.
Let me walk in daylight, once again.

Premium Member Cries For Healing-Need

"Lord, grant Your divine healing..."
This is my spirit's plea
Now that I'm confronted with my Dad's groaning angst
While he writhes in pain, struggling to express himself
Here in the Intensive Care Unit which is his haven this Christmas season.

"Lord, your miraculous healing is needed..."
This is my soul's whining
Whenever I see my Dad's agonizing response
Toward seemingly endless needle pricks, catheter changes, suction insertions
As he strives, yet suffering, to seek relief.

"Lord, pour out your healing that's merciful..."
This is my constant prayer
Since my Dad's afflicting blood sugar count
Along unstable blood pressure rise
Oppresses him grievously midst laboured breathing.

"Lord, Your gracious healing* is besought..."
This is my humble cry
With faith in His power for my Dad's health-restoration
So as to recuperate from his stroke
Toward praise-filled thanksgiving and joyous homecoming.

*Luke 9:11 ... He (Jesus Christ) received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
