I Hate Christmas

I hate Christmas
Cuz I never get what I want
I feel like scrooge
Cuz I’m addicted to bitterness

I have these thoughts that haunt
Me every year
So I drown em
In alcohol

I always drink too much eggnog
Bah humbug
Sometimes I like to abuse
Myself so I can feel something

Other times I rather feel numb
Cuz I always feel pain
I need an excuse to get drunk
Every holiday I get ed up

I isolate myself from everyone
And get drunk alone
In my room
I only come out to get more liquor

I start drinking on Christmas eve
Then I stop after new years
The only thing I want to achieve
Is to see how ed up I can get

I got too many fears
The main thing I am
Scared of is running
Out of liquor

I’m always around it
So it’s hard not to relapse
I get drunk quicker and quicker
I’m a ing lightweight

I won’t stop drinking
Until I collapse
I feel like I can’t function
Without a drink

Premium Member DOOR BENEATH THE CANOPY

I walked a flowered path,
petals tilting their small faces toward me,
as if they recognized the quiet ache
I carried beneath my ribs.

Above, the canopy arched in slow grace,
leaves arranging themselves
into a geometry of welcome~
a soft cathedral of green intention.

At the path’s end, a door appeared,
not built, but revealed~
a thin seam of brightness
where the world admitted it had more to say.

I stepped through, not knowing what to expect,
but found a garden,
one shaped from my own unspoken truths~
a place where the air held the weight
of everything I had not yet dared to understand.

Silence swaddled me,
a soft veil instructing me
that clarity comes not as an answer
but as bold stillness
letting truth rise on its own.

Light wrapped itself around me,
reminding me that wonder is not found
but recalled~
a gentle return to the self.

I moved deeper,
and the canopy thinned into a widening sky.
Then I understood.
The secret garden was never hidden~
it was only waiting for the moment
I dared to open
the quiet door inside me.

And in that opening,
a hush moved through me
like a small, luminous truth
finally stepping into view.

Not a revelation with thunder,
but a quiet alignment~
the way light settles
when it finds the right angle.

I realized then
that every garden I had ever sought
was simply a moment
when I allowed myself
to stop rushing past wonder
and let it speak.

Premium Member Followers of the Light

Ever notice when it's dark;
       There is an absent of light;
       Have you ever embarked;
       To travel through the beveling clouds;
       Shadowed and silver lined walls;
       Basically at awe, no eyes can penetrate;
       In awe we reiterate, captive by the shadow of the darkness prowls;
       when things go wrong;
        I can't see myself
        In the darkness long;
        I move on, until I become a flower of the Light;

       Have you been encapsulated and enclosed behind walls;
       Darken by the four corners and six walls;
       Can't see at all;
       traveling while encased in beveled clouds;
       Purple, blue and black shadows with no windows to open;
       Basically at awe, no eyes can penetrate;
       Get me out of here tired of being held captive;
       I can't see a thing, everything around me is dark. . .
       when things go wrong;
       and I'm not strong;
       I can't see myself;
       In the darkness long;
       I move on, until I become a follower, moving
       I move on, until I become
       I move on, until I become a follower of the Light
       No longer in the darkness now,
       I can see what's right;
       I am one of the followers of the light

Premium Member Secret Angel

A secret angel follows me, and observes my life, she looks like a guard
A guard, a guardian angel, an invisible heavenly life, she is a heart, love
She is here with me, in my room, and inspires me, she is a so great heart

She is visible, just for me. Tall, blue eyes, blondie, amazing, attractive, thin
She is talking to me, just talking to me, she asks me about black magic
Yes, I do that, I answer to her. Why? she asked. That’s my gun, I said

That’s bad, don't do that, she warned me. No, I can’t do anything, I said
Why? she asked. Because I haven’t any choice but to protect myself, I said.
In my life, prayer no longer helps. Only black magic, conversation closed.

Secret Angel
Don’t follow me
But be with me
Come to me often
And live with me

DIsoriented.

Why oh why - what be it may?
What impelled you? Dawn broke
Does it imply internal of success
Did you indeed climb enjoying the joke

It's a lullaby!!? Who did it impress?
I still wish that I may and or I might
Have the stars in the skies to wish upon
And the tune, of the lullaby soothe the night

Beauteous Be this golden of opportunities
I sat on a wall - I built with exclaim
Stand tall too but with doom on fossil my rock
And too! My cold front, shed no tears with blame

What satisfaction can you get with intent
I see - visually the perception clear
Dysfunction - disorientation! Got a clue?
What's happening to me ? The mind might went ,I fear

In my soul! Blessed inspired by God
Me little ole me myself cleansing internally
Healing within - where to begin
Keeping my stars in the heavens with me , actually
I see - too those horrific stones aimed
Hurt? Built my wall on my rock not yet to fall
I walk in my age that fossil be it be may
It's no lullaby! Really! With theory of
             Repetition, its now a new call.

Premium Member Pain and Love and the Long Goodbye

this is about pain and love
when i listen to myself
i hear bitterness, anger,
longing, hurt

frozen in time,
never aging
i was 25 years younger
46 years later,
i’m 21 years older

i never think of him as
what he’d be like today
never about “what if” now
it’s always then

everything was black or white
half good, half not so much
the good was shared,
the rest, rarely

he had all the control
like everyone else,
i waited for his next move,
his direction

on the rare occasions
he needed a lamb
i was the one
on the alter

when we said “see you later”
for the last time
he knew we would never
see each other again
and that he screwed up

i could see it in his eyes
hear it in his voice
there was so much unfinished
he didn't know
who or what else to be

he was reflective,
as if asking,
“does it have to be this way?”
if he had asked
i wouldn’t have had an answer

i wanted more
of what little there was
and or at least some of
what i didn’t get
that was never
going to be possible

i’ve finally come to terms
it’s been a long goodbye

What Happened To Us

Remember when you used to say the words that I was stammering to let out?
What happened to us?
Remember when you knew what it meant when I just blinked?
Remember when you were my Bread and Egg; BAE?
Even our footprints knew you loved me.
We were so good together; we could never go a day without each other,
What happened to us?
Remember when you loved the exact things that I hated about myself?
What happened to us?
How could you walk away without me noticing?
How could you disappear without the last kiss?
Remember when you said to me; “Promise me that you will never love anyone else but me”?
So how could you shut the door, when you knew I was not out yet?
What happened to us?
How could you, My Boo, get so cold, I thought you were in a vacuum?
Remember what happened whenever we touched?
What happened to us?
So it comes down to this; I sit in the garden and observe,
As the butterfly disperses the leaves of dandelion with despair,
My heart bleeds the colour of castor bean as a result of it being pierced and wounded by a spear.
Now my eyes are heavy, but I refuse to let fall a tear.
Because my question still remains, “What Happened To Us?”

I sit here

With a pint a cheer

Wondering about the number thirty

Avoiding not being dirty

It was fifteen years ago

As you all know

I was on top

Thanks a lot

To someone who gave me a shot

Brandy, they said what it was

And I was now feeling the buzz

But as it wore off

I found myself having a hiccup not a cough

Phone stopped to ring

Going back to being a pauper not a king

Now I will ponder what’s to come

Should I have a goal to dream like a bum

Relying on memories that were fun

Securely realizing I am just riding into the setting sun

Or do I interpret the next fifteen

Continuing acting being a teen

Or profiting in this desperate scheme

Asking, ‘where should I venture?’

Gritting my teeth not wanting any dentures

Fifteen years from now

I will take my final bow

Then I will address

If my life was truly a mess

That is when my antagonist will confess

Unless

This test

Results in I am doing my best

Yes, what a wonderful thirty-year window

Open it up and show

Celebrating everything I think I know

And dependent on how I say the word ‘whoa’

Since I have half a gift
yet not a whole,
I bring words to half life,
but alas my complete soul.

Who I am,
not who I am supposed to be,
on these wings of an eagle
I take flight and become free.

At dawn's break
cascading on the horizon,
is there enough light
to see the day?
It is this murky muddled mirage
where I facilitate my way.

Noble men and women
seems from another universe,
who have authored manuscripts
of such grand eloquence,
I wonder and marvel
at such sui generis verse.

I myself may never be there,
but I can’t help to think
these masters passions
which they all must bear,
are not too dissimilar
to when I soar in the air.

Blank Space

Why can't my mind be a blank space

Be empty of all the self-hate.

Why can't my brain just not care

When I'm treated worse for wear.

All feelings do are drag you down

A rabbit hole of anger and harm

I just want to feel numb to it all

And try not to care any more.

'Why are you sad?' They ask

'Just cheer up,' they say

Wow as if I haven't tried that anyway.

As if I am not trying to be sane

When I'm down and feel depressed

It's my emotions I'm forced to repress

It's my feelings I try to hide

To avoid being called selfish for feeling almost dead inside.

I can't even tell anyone

About how I feel or I'll be left undone

So to avoid that I force myself to hide,

Hide how I feel, blank space blank mind
