"The Scent of Eden"

Up the road I walked
as if in some golden hazy dream
and along the road an honour guard
to the left of me, of red-ripe apple trees

I walked bare feet

into that lush abundance
of waving dark forest green
the scent of mystery, fresh petrichor
wet leaves underneath my soul

moistly called me in, to believe

some kind of beckoning
to unprocessed novel new beginnings
I plucked the largest I could find, as always
stretching too far above me

then, in my hands
I raised it to my rosy lips
before I took it fully in, my over-soul
breathed its knowledge o’er me like a twin

wisdom, its gilded giddy perfume

the scent of Eden,

sings

Premium Member Kissed In the Ocean

a white mist
begins engulfing
every breath
eyes clouding
deep inside
the wrinkling sea
within begins
to crawl

fluttering waves
caresses softly
touching walls
butterfly kissing
deeply speaking
inwardly emotions
tenderly cry out

blue awakening
senses floating
a drifting heart
blossoms on
paradise shores

lightly colors emotion
a soulful tune
sings with music
enchanting mist
magical feelings
sprinkled sweetly
falling sugar
coats honey

moistly kissing
the most beautiful lips
tasting cherries
bursting desire
ever so deeply
drinking from
the cup
of love

a dream horizon in a faraway land

Nature's parable is the rose
Where beauty with pain entwines,
Burgeoning blossoms atop thorny stems
Ready to sting fumbling fingers.
Reverence brings its own rewards:
To inhale the dizzying scent, bow your head,
Hold off, riveted by richness of hue
Fresher than fresco,
Gaze upon the delicate whorls
Whereon Cellinis have tried their art,
Their icons paling beside the ardent blooms.
Virginal and seductive are those buds
Opening shyly and moistly to the sun's soft caress.
Velvet to the touch their melting petals,
Full blooms are wenches, fully ripe at their erotic peak.
Diffidence surfaces as the petals spread and lose their sheen;
Bereft of flowers,saw-edged teeth stand starkly menacing.
Memory,recoiling from raw reality,
Glorifies the fading pleasures
Until the masquerade revels anew.

Sailing a kiss to you my dearest lady
soft and gentle winds gently they carry me away
starry eyes glisten pearl drops on fragrant memories
sailing within each and every thought love

Honey you whom is as fair in beauty
as the blossoms covered in dew sweetly dripping riches
deep maiden true golden treasure of the heart
gift of precious dreams spell magic beyond compare

Enchanting bluebells ring out sweetest tunes
when I close my eyes awakens a picture pure
Yearning in the crystal realm one smile
whispering sighs your name softly breathtaking

Inside upon the warm breeze faraway siren
whistling tunes flutter always to you my Queen
Whom crowns emotions champion of the heart
I drink from the silver chalice of the moon

Sipping thoughts I kneel before you graciously
embracing beauty upon the deepest sands
rising waves within the ocean curl salted
over and back feelings moistly kissing your feet

Water dripping mist
a shawl falling over embracing love
you got me honey
all tied up smiling
one gem treasured gift
together a great ocean wave
sugar tasting desires
moistly lips blushing
strawberry passion kiss.

Apple of the eye
burning a fire inside Heaven
a snowflake melting softly to you
in the deepest softness of a heart

Inside out of shadows
silver star dazzling deeply beautiful
on all shining reflections
one dream stunning gold
blindly with love.

Opens up from a soul
petals gently whispering
softly in warm winds
blowing gently in each rippling flutter
singing echoes kissing each wave
landing on skips of your heartbeat
moist lips blushing
strawberry passion kiss.

Premium Member Such Was Once

Amongst the mist of midday rain
I walk beside my heart's pain
Subtle images reflect what is not
Daydreams shadow things once forgot
Pitter patter of moistly wet drops
Splatter of rain ticks like a clock
Time is still amongst the mist
I close my eyes and reminisce
Silken skin soothes the touch
Long hair of auburn full and lush
Eyes that shine from a fiery soul
The beauty of a woman I love to hold
Keeper of my heart by her firm touch
Boyhood memories make innocence blush
Gone away I long for more
Misty spirit of my adore
I bite my lip and taste the mist
My heart is cold and adrift
Puddles splash at my shoe
Do I enjoy missing you
Sunbeams break through clouds of rain
Silvery visions evaporate within my pain
Soft breezes kiss her lips on my face
Such was once I shan't replace
Wet and damp with a splash of ill
Cold and old I begin to feel
I open my eyes and close my mind
Saving her memory for another time

The Sound of Peace and Quiet

THE SOUND OF PEACE AND QUIET

Tis the get together season, company parties and alcohol
We need to be with people or we’ll go into withdrawal
You tell me to come on over with your desperate voice
But the threat of being infected is nothing to rejoice

This virus is mean and nasty; there’s little place to hide
We’re shutting down our social life with gatherings denied
If we refuse to wear a mask it could get us all arrested
And if we are coughing moistly, we need to go get tested

This Christmas season will be much different from the rest
Devoid of human contact will put our patience to the test
But keep an open mind, a new tradition may be forming
Like the sound of peace and quiet on your Christmas morning

No rushing out to visit and no cooking food all day
No attention to Aunt Margaret with way too much to say
I think I’ll turn some music on just to sooth my soul
Look forward to a silent night and a quiet Christmas stroll

Premium Member A Day's Grace

Salute, Salute, praiseworthy time and will you pass from ken?
With all your hoarded aspects oh! Do not I pray make end!
Acquaintance friend intriguing soul, with my clumsy
Style and mind, I know I cannot hold you'' here''
Yet stay with me and smile..!

Portray I ask the grace you hold,
Make free your inner truth, and in this I will find my rest,
Oh speak the days of my youth, the smell of linen clean and crisp,
And moistly sour suede hide, of earth damp dog, or candy floss,
And jolting roller coaster rides, azure blue seas from cliff top views,
under lazy clouds of white.

Stay here before my day is done,
At least don't leave me with the night,
Or better still envelope me within those times you keep,
That I may travel ever thus and never want to be released.
