Brief interlude
A dreamy passage;
Familiar faces

~~~~~~~~~
An old friend calls
From crowded room;
Smiles bridge gap
~~~~~~~~~

Mall crowd mingle
Browse through exhibits;
Branded watches

~~~~~~~~~
Poster art works
Modern mixed media;
Stuff and nonsense
~~~~~~~~~

Little boy lost
Parents in panic;
Mall PA blast

~~~~~~~~~
Sudden downpour
Shelter seekers dash;
Motley bus-stop
~~~~~~~~~

Fancy flings funny
Clowns on sidewalk;
Downtown escapade

~~~~~~~~~
Coffee cafe queue
Caffeine fix here;
Brown liquid buffet
~~~~~~~~~

Poise of voice
Shrill staccato;
Fat lady moans

~~~~~~~~~
Swinging playground
People soaking in;
Respite from stress
~~~~~~~~~

Bougainvilleas bloom
Sultry weather heats;
Humid accolades

~~~~~~~~~
Joy wears fond smiles
Glee runs madly;
Children congregate
~~~~~~~~~

Parents chit-chat
The usual stuff;
Complaints crowding

~~~~~~~~~
Not much time
Not much space;
Not much anything!
~~~~~~~~~

My old car
Long-time friend;
Symbiotic times

~~~~~~~~~
Premium Member Writing On the Walls
Graffiti frames the tunnel's tomb, beneath the city's core
where writings stretch upon the wall in dialects profane
A hallmark of the day's routine,  but often shares the scene
where silent fears have set apart the lives that mingle here
The masses wait in every shade, each one who shares the grind,
And day, by day, the same routine, they wait, but never see
the writing on the wall displayed,  each life so out of touch
Too occupied for reaching out to be the other's friend
No glance, no chance to say hello to the stranger by your side
A wall has grown to come between the hand of humankind
They board as one, but coldness churns through veins beneath the ground
Habits honed have deafened ears to echoes all around
Distance tumbles through the aisles, small words too frail to say
"How are you, what can I do to help you smile today?"
No hands to grasp, no questions asked, just eyes in downward glance,
A phone in hand, whatever land, beyond all human touch
As seasons pass, left in the dust the silence breeds and feeds
more apathy, that beats the heart, as cold and hard as stone..
The sound of silence just rumbles on,  until the walls come down
The Death of a King
Contest Entry: Ancient Egypt
Four men, one king what a show
Taught muscles, strong bodies, no foe
The sport of Pharaoh’s to kill a King
In rapturous applause crowds stand and sing
'I am a God' cries the new pharaoh
To prove it is a must
'But watch me adoring ones
Kill this King with a god given thrust.'
'Hold tight the rope you men, on it your life depends
Not only yours, but your family too
Let not the torn muscles or bloodied hands you bare
Because t’will be their deaths I swear to you.'
'Until I grab his mane
And with my God-given power
I will prove that before my name
Even this King of beasts will cower.'
Hurry now our muscles cry, the rope cuts though our skin
If you must kill this mighty beast you better first begin
Raise your sword son of the gods take his spirit to strengthen your soul
Just to leave this arena alive that is our only goal.
A mighty beast does fall leaving four men on bended knee
The pharaoh won the call his cheering people do agree
Their sweat it doth mingle with the blood of the mighty beast
Although they slayed a King, at least with their families they will still feast.
The Morning Comforter
Hi there, I’m your initial cup of coffee,
  The one that jolts your brain out of neutral.
I don’t think you could survive without me
   And at times, I know this feeling’s mutual.
It’s my purpose to get your systems working,
   To tempt you out from the Land of Nod,
To guide you from the path that leads to brambles
   Through pastures that past villagers have trod.
Yes, I am your very first cuppa,
   I’m just one of your very best friends,
I try to sustain your brain functions,
   It’s on me that your future depends!
I’m happy to stay to the side of the stage
   In the shadows of the wings,
I will mingle with milk from multiple brands
   Or those thin wooden, stirry things.
I won’t confront your weariness
   Or your affair with Ovaltine,
I’m content to raise your consciousness
   With a swift dose of caffeine.
So don’t take me for granted
   I’ll be there as you grow old,
Awakening your palate
   Whilst warming the mug you hold.
A-Roll and B-Roll
So It Seems
---------------
"Dinkle Hoarder!" she yelled repeating it several times.
What's a disklike hoarder? It's a person that introduces you
to a person so that you can be the one to divide an
 existing relationship.Oh an interloper: yeah that's it she said.
Then she resomed yelling, "you interloping *Bleep*!
Control:she likes to control, her dark traits where she instills
 jealousy into peoples lives so that they may envy the
 happiness of the newly formed couple.
Some people want to feel power over others. Where wealth can't do--it
or the natural ability of beauty fails: hurt is how
she extracts revenge might he be alone and unable to be
loved ever again. She was so confident and cocky
using her position of Assistant Manager to create a playing field where she
was number one with full control over all involved. She introduced people
to his fiancée so they could mingle in his absence. And in his presence
she praised her as loyal to him. Today he found her with another woman and a guy.
" There they laid, entangled in there want: as he is fool against her doings,
then the home became a stage for the drama to unfold as he open
the door to find them,caught in flagrante delicto: I take pride in your misery!" Thats when I just took him away from all of this and I cursed that evil woman! Thats when you came over!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They invited members of a Movie making group
to the Mansion for supper. When the group arrived
this drama was unfolding
some thought it was real. It was a hoax to
try to create interest into
the filmmakers project
Walking becoming overcoming.
Orion becomes Jesus walking on water.
Trek trudge and stumble, taking it in stride.
Bearing a cross of torment and torture.
Struggling slogging shepherding,
slaving in blood mixed tears.
Walking through light and shadow.
Sleep meandering, dreams seamlessly
mingle with stumbling lumbering,
slumbering shamble, ambling ramble.
Roving roaming range, radius reached,
realms always remembered.
Walking the footpath through rainforest.
Sizzling amour fou ardor, fevered fervor.
Lascivious among the leaves,
captive to carnality.
Fleshly forbidden found only
in the taboo soil of impulses.
Walking in the aurora of first light.
Sprinting agape beneath spectral wavy prismatic sky.
Darting dashing driving toward a new day.
Racing rushing for radiant rays wrapping the horizon.
Igniting the dark, blazing the trail in a neonate morning,
advancing the awaiting adventure.
Walking with friends and lovers.
Parading promenading propelled plantigrade.
Globetrotting every continent, every consideration,
every awareness and attentiveness.
The common blanket sweeping overall.
Let the celebration of being begin.
Practical Religion
Do you have any practical religion?
That’s what I wish to know.
I ask this question to people I know,
And they replied it in different ways.
Someone’s goal is gaining knowledge,
Someone insist on doing good works,
Some other cares for love and devotion,
But all of them have their own way.
All the streams from different sources,
Mingle their water in the vast open sea,
Like all the paths which men prefer,
Crooked or straight, all lead to Thee.
Keeping a standard is good for us,
But never ignore the standard of others,
That’s the base of practical religion,
Through which build a peaceful world.
Premium Member MINGLE
We need to feel the cheer and inspiration of meeting
each other, we need to gain the courage and fresh life that comes from mingling of congenial souls of those working for the same ends
Quote by Josephine St Pierre Ruffin
   Publisher and Journalist
We mingle with like minded people here
across this worldly spectrum we appear.
A melting pot of thoughts turned into words
each one unique, when passion has occurred.
Yes, writing is a solitary game
however when you think, we're all the same.
Our universal language when we write
when mixed together makes us all unite.
Therefore, we mingle in our hearts and mind
creative forces seen when we're combined.
We are our words when all is said and done
We bare our soul with each and everyone.
As the gossiping canary sat on the wharf
Watching the west ham going forth
“Off to mingle”
Thackray said who was single
“With the white lilies”
Forgetting about the wolves who were very chilly
No goals on the board
Points being ignored
Entering into the lovely garden
Thackray wondered
Was this a survival test?
After a long rest
Knowing her recording record was not the best
Looking around Thackray saw the black and white message
Feeding the buzz honey mustard dressing
No middle ground to blur
Only the relegation zone pot to stir
What was starting?
Luring apples needing to be carting?
There was a cherry in Aston’s Villa looking to be on top
A sweet surprise inside the Championship League ice cream shoppe
Already finding a flat down stairs
Investigating canary wanting to know if the west ham was in an affair
When Thackray engaged with the beautiful buds
Enjoying the scent dreaming for a stud
Seeing one in a spot
A place where the defense could put an end to the shot
But somehow there was a miss
And an own goal occurred without an assist
“I did this all alone
It was me on the phone “
Thackray would gingerly groan
Minutes later a man appeared
From the darkness the west ham was in fear
His name
Was Kane
And he ended the west ham visit
Right in the net he really kissed it
Returning to make a plan
In the dungeon the canary laughed like a spur fan
“I will make a note
Bachelor Jason was Thackray’s vote
They were secretly wed,”
Corresponding canary said
Walking down broken heart lane
Thackray realized she was turning insane
Due to the obsession fame
Until she picked up the mail
While scratching off a lottery ticket that failed
Opening to read the newspaper’s tales
She exclaimed, “That canary is going to get nailed!”
We are the children of the earth
descendants of Paradise
We are the Poets
Descendants of the Heavens.
We are the new Prophets,
bearing gifts of messages.
Carrying the messages transmitted by spirits.
Angels of warning,Angels of comfort, angels
Poets,Poets, angels,
We can make you laugh,
Poets, we can make you cry.
Poets,broad,narrow, Free flowing
or constipated . Stuck or rolling...
We are the children of the earth
descendants of man.
Poets with sensors.Waiting to fly.
Barefoot poets, keeping you grounded.
Poets with wings, keep flying high.
Singing poets, praying poets.
Experience bringing poets.
History knowing poets..
Poets we are the soothsayers
the truthsayer poets.
We mingle We deliver
We discern, We learn
We can never afford to be stuck,
Or ignore intuition.
We can never afford to be hypnotized.
We honor change,Welcome change
