Merry Christmas 2022

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Unto us a child is born, a Son is given
Into a world fallen and sin ridden
To redeem it from the bondage where it was driven
To shine light in the dark where sin was hidden
The Bread of Life beyond that brought by a raven
That we may come to Him we who are heavy laden
That even as we are saved and going to heaven
We are on earth salt, light, a betrothed maiden

We celebrate Christ born, dead and risen
Fulfilling the prophecy as written
Him in whom the Father is well pleased we listen
Him who for our infirmities and sin was beaten
Bearing our judgment that my burden may easen
That the path of the believer may more and more brighten
A propitiation for all and not for just a few chosen
No other offer however great will ever have this beaten

Premium Member Have a Joyous Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone,
I hope all your wishes come true
but I have to ask if you’re reading this,
What’s the matter with you?

I suggest you immediately make it a point
to bring this foolishness to an end
turn off your computers,
your IPADS
your phones
your devices…
and spend time with your family and friends.

Wait! I just realized as I’m writing this…
I need to take my own advice…
So, though I am usually long-winded,
I shall make this poem concise….

I’m turning off my computer now
and with my friends and family I shall play.
before I go let me wish you all peace
and may you have a joyous and safe Christmas Day.

Premium Member Merry Christmas

Let us celebrate this season in song

"Away In A Manger" on thus "Oh, Holy Night"

" Joy To The World" came to our delight

"What Child Is This" Mary did ponder

"While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks"

'Twas a "Silent Night" until "Hark, The Herald Angles Sang"

"Go Tell It On The Mountain" until His return

From me and my family to yours, "We Wish You A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year"

We have electricity and are warm but no water except for what I bought and caught up in some pitchers and pots. God is good. Hardee's was open so we had hot food even though a little stinky ourselves. LOL

Meet fond blessings, meet happy days;
Etching sure grace, etching the signs;
Reach a knowing, reach cheery sway;
Rich lovely space, rich fond align;
Yes sense profound, yes feeds array.
Charm comes to cheer, charm holds the key;
Hope that surrounds, hope that portrays;
Restores faith here, restores soul free;
Intuit a feel, intuit a will;
Sense a sure start, sense a pure touch;
Thrill to goodwill, thrill to appeal;
Mind joins with heart, mind swirls so much;
A true love shows, a true joy primes;
Soul journeys grow, soul journeys chime.

Premium Member To the Ones I Love At Christmas Time- a Ps Dedication

To all who see the good in me
All that is lovely, sweet and fair
To all who will not see the thorns
Who nourish me with love and care

To dear ones who have loved my rhymes
Who with their words have spread the cheer
To all those who have seen and loved
This poetess and call her dear

To all those who have cared to write
About me in their poetry
Who’ve dedicated words to me
And filled my heart with ecstasy

To all those whom my heart holds dear
Who are my sweet and precious friends
I send this message out to you
In it our love together blends

This Christmas time I thank my God
That in my world you play a part
You bring me sunshine after rain
With joy you help my day to start

You must know this and thus be sure
Each one of you, I do adore
My life would not as wholesome feel
Had you not touched its very core

You move me and you make me see
A wonder that's beyond compare
What would I do without your gifts?
I’d surely sink in dark despair

Each one of you, a sparkling light
Upon my heart’s dear Christmas tree
You light my days and shine at night
By giving of yourself to me

And so, tonight my gift to you
Is simple lines wrapped in my love
A very merry Christmas all
I pleading from our God above

Good health, and hope and happiness,
and wishes that your dreams come true
This place is like my second home
My thanks go out to folks like you.

To all of you who have loved me and accepted me with open arms, bless you.

Premium Member Merry Christmas Eve

You’re a whisper of gentle, soft as light
Playing on the shadows,
Blessing the darkest night –
Remembering the beautiful on the winds
When my heart blamed you
For the melancholic it finds…

You’re a song of hope in my prayer
Breaking through the silence,
Melodies come to prepare –
My heart and soul, my spirit’s knowing
When I love, you are the vitality
Coloring my life in love’s flowing…

You’re the moment before the storm
When a quiet sigh bleeds calm,
Changing lives, here to transform –
Making my heart feel like it knows
All the joy, the love and peace
In each sun, as each star glows….

You’re the reason that I believe
In the wonder of One who came
On that first Christmas Eve –
To bless our souls with lasting grace
Assuring us of forever with God
Where we’ll live to see His face…

You’re the mother that I can say
Is more than just a mom –
Because you taught me to pray
I know what it means to truly love
I know what it is to live for God
Eager for my home, in heaven above!

You’re the mom who taught me that belief
Would silence all my fears
Restore my heart and bring relief –
So wherever I go, I can honestly say
There is hope, faith and love
That was sent so my heart will never stray…

Thank you, Mom… for showing me
Through your own living
That because of Him, I’m truly free –
And I’ll always be content,
Full of appreciation –
Because I know Him who was sent….

To bring hope to a world He created –
To bring faith to a heart who was insecure
To bring love to a soul who is elated –
To know this Jesus who came to save,
The One whose love is real,
The answer whose heart forgave!

Merry Christmas on this special day
Never forget to kneel and pray
Because this hope is the only way!

Thank you, Mom – I will always say…
You’re a light and come what may,
We’ll forever celebrate Jesus’ birthday!

Premium Member A Tale of Kunta Kelly Image

What a precious, dear boy, you were.
Caressing me with your long, red fur.
I found you lost, on a San Francisco street.
Into my arms you came, the sweetest treat.

Years have flown by since my life you left.
My heart, you took, upon your quick death.
Bright as the sunrise, you shared my days!
In starlight I see you, on a planetary foray.

Merry Christmas, dearest “Kunta-Kelly”!
Your tummy, soft and warm as Santa’s belly.
You will play in my dreams on Christmas Eve.
When I miss you most and with crystalline tears,
                     grieve!

Kunta was chosen from the movie, The Lion King.
Kunta …means King….one day, my daughter lifted
Kelly to skies, and shouted “Kunta Kelly”, just as
Kunta was lifted in the movie. A perfect name for
the royal cat, Kelly was! Pangie

Premium Member Merry Christmas And Happy New Year 2025

It is that time of the year when we say to each other Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2025.
We are giving ALL the honor and glory to God for looking at us from the beginning of time to NOW. That's why I say: I am 'The FutureNow'! even at my age of 79+ years, I still have a task to do here on this earth, at this time in my life. What we do NOW will determine, will still determine our future. We MUST continue to give to those in whom God has allowed to come across our past. If you don't know, ask and He will give to you, seek and you will find, knock and the doors will be open. However, you and I MUST do it in FAITH and we will receive 'Favor As I Trust Him'.
Well, you may have been saying, "I have been doing that but nothing happening" Have you? I have asked this question many times, setting aside my pride and humbling myself before Him and He is answering my prayers and He will answer yours too in the name of Christ Jesus who made it possible.
"This is the confidence that we have in Him, IF we asked ANYTHING according to His will, He hear us, and IF we know that He hear us, we have the petitions that we desire of Him."
I look forward to the challenging that will come in 2025, not making any new year resolution, but completing the old.
Christ is the T.R.E.A.S.U.R.E. (Truth Ps.26:2-3; Ro.16:25-27; Eternal Is.9:6; Assurance Heb.6:11; Salvation Heb.2:1-4; Unity Jn.17:23; Restore Ps.51:12; Is.63:16)

Winter's Blanket

Since a child barely eight,
I watched puffy snowflakes
with dreamy eyes, seeing myself so merry...
making a snowman taller than I;
his nose had to be brighter than a cherry,
and his cobalt eyes deeper than any sea...
then lying back, I rested in delight:
to admire my creation and sigh!

Snow on a quiet night of December,
every worry and fear I surrender...
to lose myself awaiting for deeper silence:
when a star will appear to announce
to the hopeless world the birth of glorious joy...
will it be greeted by all as that shepherd boy?

Everybody was asleep, the wood-burning fireplace
crackled as someone walking dredged a long path
with fast footsteps...it was daddy shivering as a cat,
holding in his frozen hands a box gleaming as glass;
I looked closer it had a red bow that brightly glowed...
and running I screamed, " Merry Christmas, dad! "

Snow on a quiet night of December,
make me dream of that wintry night already past...
when my soft face was sprinkled with snowflakes so thick,
and melting they tasted like the water of a river!
Snow on a quiet December night, take no rest...
keep on falling and creating a wonderland filled with mirth!
