Premium Member Kaleidoscopic Collage of Life

The turning wheel of time
rotates the rhapsodic kaleidoscope,
and the patterns perform persistently
on the life’s mélange of motif.
The chameleon colors transform
the visage of mind’s topography
into ashes of burnt barrenness,
or to the verdance of emerald vale.

The diffused dreams on the drift,
float on the cascade of sight,
meandering on the mesmeric tapestry,
weaved with strands of ebullience,
replicating the wings of butterflies,
flittering on the ripples of spring air,
and before they all fly away,
form for me a fountain of fulfillment.

On my tortuous lonesome travel
across the greening wasteland in rains,
or along the glittering garden path,
lined with spring saplings bursting with colors,
the shutter of my mind opens,
the receptive film of sensuality
captures in the kaleidoscopic collage,
the sublime snapshots of beauty.

Premium Member October's Applause

October lingers on the soul
Harvest blessings
In hues of hope

October sky’s
Shimmering in your eyes
Reminding me why I can delight
In the whisper of Autumn
Coloring the whole world
Shades of scarlet, tangerine
And gold mélange

October sun
Combined with dew brushed dreams
Succulent loves smiling serenity
Throughout the morning
Forever warming
Alive and flowing
With joy

October nights
Vibrant and alive, clearly driven
By passions of healing
Winds, soft and silent
Caressing the spirit
With intimacy

October thrives with praise
Sensations of life
Prayers of faith
Admiration

October laughs at the moon
Longing for its breath
To soothe away the darkest
Shadows of stardust moments
Caressing the past
With memories
Nostalgia

October sings to souls
Inviting grace to shine
As wisdom arouses the light
To stroke the melodies
With shades of faith
Dancing to the sound
Of Autumn’s silence

October shines big
In flavors of pumpkin spice
Leathery leaves so crisp
Warnings of cool wishes
Crying to the peaks
Repeating the refrain
Of penetrating whispers
Yearning for the closing
Of a fragile Summer bliss

October is the second chance
For God to speak His kindness
Across the backdrop of tranquility

On wings of utmost belief
His finger lifts from its canvas
To show a world filled with
Wonders and miracles, amazement
October’s applause admiring God’s creation

Rhapsody of rainbow splits in morose mélange
Bleeding colors sucked from crumbled clouds
Rainstorm rinses the stains on broken hearts
Shades of grey paints the frayed linen of love.

Requiem of rose echoes melancholic medley
Petals hold the tear in drops of mourning dew
Dries under the summer sun of desert mind
Wilted flowers lay posy on the spent passion.

Cacophony captured in the melody of music
Chaotic orchestra rides on disharmony wave
Strained smiles bared in dark podium of life
Songs turn convoluted noise in hollow souls.

Facet of life seen through liquefied cynic stratum
Sunken essence of living refracts vile contortions.

Charcoal clouds melt from scorched ashen sky,
summer rain floats on drizzling waves.

The seeping spectrum of the setting sun
sparkles on the slant of splash,
drenching my mauve meadow.

From the moistened crack of the dry soil
sprouts a sapling spreading tender leaves to sky,
cradles a cute bud flushed by soft touch of rain,
unfurling the pink petals draped in twilight tinge.
In my rain-soaked desolate pasture I see
the patina of rose with the sheen of your smile,
sprinkling the mélange of rainbow hues.

drenched in sunset glint
leaning leaves dance with raindrops…
lattice of pearls glows

The rhapsody of rainbow
melts in morose mélange,
the concoction of colors
bleeds bland in
shattered silence,
sucked out
of crumbled core
of sensuous cloud,
soothing rain rinses
the stains in broken hearts,
shades of grey paints
the frayed linen of love,
redundant.

The requiem
of longing patina
of repentant rose
resonates melancholic medley
in the portals of petals,
the faded gloss
turns into tears
in pearls of mourning dew,
desiccates uncared
under the summer sun
of the desert mind,
the wilted flower falls
on weathered gravestone
of spent passion,
departed.

The cacophony captured
in the melody of forlorn music,
chaotic symphony floats
out of tune
on disharmonic wave,
strained smiles displayed
with elusive enactment
in ostentatious podium of life,
songs turn into echo
of convoluted noise
in hollow souls,
pretentious.

The intriguing facet
of listless life
seen entranced
through liquefied layers
of cynical stratum,
configures pessimism
in the sunken essence
of living exaltation,
the apparent aspect
refracts defiled expression
of warped existence,
enshrined.

The turning wheel of time stirs up the dust of disarray,
that settles in the crumbling cauldron of disordered life.
In the maiming moments of disdained dejection,
truth tumbles in the mélange of disorienting chaos.

Under the scorching blaze of the envy flame,
the desiccated soul suffers parched and forsaken,
searches for the niche of sanguinity in self-belief
to get the self-seeking shade of hope in frustration.

The sapling of irresistible longing rooted deep in desire,
nurtured in the receptive core of the longing heart,
blossoms the flower of passionate hedonism,
luring the being with the illusion of impulsive urge.

In the disorderly squall of divesting dismay,
the mangled mind is disheveled to a dishabille state,
tries to snap the chords of captivating greed,
the psychic cascade of unconcern carries them away.

Chasing the mirage across the dunes of desolation,
the hope of taking life to the oasis disappears deluded.
As the beleaguering storm of disenchantment blows,
consciousness takes the correction course to undo despair.

A Place Just Right - Reprise

The Greyhound reels over creaking axles.
Northern Kentucky puts on weight in summer,
a green mélange thickens,
yet inside our trundling tube,
joints rattle,
gears burn through paunch and muscle.

We lurch over a crest down into a holler
An old Shaker Hymn booms across the radio:
When we find ourselves in a place just right
'Twill be in the valley of love and light.

I have often longed to be 'in a place just right,'
to be at ease in these bucking bones,
even when breathing this smother
of body odor and diesel.

Then we dip down into a valley.
At a wooden store advertising cold beers
we stop.
"Is this the right place?" I ask.
"It’s as close as we get", says the driver.

Premium Member Convoluted Conscience

Rhapsody of rainbow
morphs into morose mélange
of shredded exuberance,
bleeding colors
bleached from collapsed cloud
of twilight zone
embroidered by sunset spectrum,
profoundly permeate
as ingrained blemish
the lilac lattice
of the broken heart,
the sordid shades of blue
paint the linen of love,
           f r a y e d....

Requiem of longing roses
resonates tragic melody
in melancholic medley,
wilting petals pine
for forlorn feelings,
the dripping tear drops
of mourning dew
on failing floral luster
desiccate in somber sunshine
of the deserted mind,
fading flowers make
weathered wreath
for decedent passion,
           o b s c u r e....

Convergent cacophony
accrues relentless
in the entropic cauldron
of disharmonic music,
bemused chaotic symphony
dismantles incoherent
on discordant waves of refrain,
captured in
strained smiles,
sneering the inane scenario
of lonely life,
where sanguine songs turn
into nonsensical noise,
echoed by reflective soul,
             a r c a n e....

Leitmotif of life
seen skeptically
through indolent cynic lens
of distorted essence,
magnifies manifold
into crooked contortion
of convoluted conscience,
             a b e r r a n t....
