Driving along a coastal road
The top drawn down
On a magical seaside day
She, thumbing through a magazine
Reaching for the stereo dial
"Stop," I say, she smiles
The wind, dancing about her hair
Waltzing, she seems so, astonishingly beautiful today ~
Her reddened lips, her darkened eyelashes
Her blushed cheeks, and, her perfect nose
I try to sing along, with Peter Gabriels song
"In your eyes, the light the heat...."
I smile, as I gently caress her brow
She, lovingly leans into my hand, and my heart is warm
I look back ahead, and then toward the west
Thinking about....thinking about....thinking....
Her precious voice ~
"Can we dear," she says, "can we"
I smile again, as she softly kisses my ear
My eyes glance toward the mirror
A tiny heart, that still lives there today
Next to a cross, that she once did wear
Lost in thought again....
So magnificent, this moment it seems
As I glide my fingers, through her soft and waving hair
Slowly, across her shoulder, and down, her silkened arm
Until, our hands become intwined, as one ~
One, within her endless 'Splendor!'
"In your eyes, the light the heat...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I lift my head, from upon my pillow
I look at the clock, I look at the day
My eyes drop, lost in dreams again....
I glance beyond the door, and across the walls
Until, her picture sitting there ~
Never very far, never far from my eyes
I sit up, I touch it, I hold it....
She, wearing her favorite whitened sundress
Her smile, as a beckoning light~
Her golden skin, smooth and glistening, radiant ~
Walking upon the waters edge
Gliding, atop the sands, at sunset
The oceans tides, gently about our feet
"Can we dear," she laughs, "can we"
As I lift her up, as I lift her high, twirling, into the air....
"Forever my love" ~
"The light, the heat, I am complete...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I step outside, onto the balcony
A cup of coffee, within my hands
A tad bit nippy, I think, today
As I look, upon the waves....

'Crashing'....Into the rocks....
I stare, until a light mist
Gathers itself within my eyes
I gance to my left, towards the cove
A sailboat sailing, just beyond an empty shore
I peer, I stare, but, 'She' is not there
I resend my sight....
Her bluest, of alluring blue eyes
Heavenly eyes~Her timeless glow!
Wearing a flowered sundress
Her shining, and flowing auburn hair
Standing there ~
I beam, as I gently ring the chimes
Those, that she did once fashion
Forever there, now by my side
Dolphines and butterflies
Her favorite flower....'A Crimson Rose' ~
I then set my coffee down
And, gather them within my hand
I think, I shall keep the top up, today
It is, kind of cold....
"Can we dear, can we"
Peter Gabriel ~

Driving down a coastal road
On a grey and cloudy, seaside day
Somber silence, as I look toward the west
The oceans breaks, as I glance upon its edge....
Gazing, beyond its horizon, and beyond all time ~
Turning back ahead, and into the rear view mirror
A tiny heart, red, and her golden cross!
A tear from the corner of my eye, falls, as I arrive
I slowly pull up, park, and once again, get out
Across the solemn ground
That I have crossed before, I walk
I quietly and humbly kneel down
As I run my fingers, through her glistening hair....
"Hello my love," I say, as I lay them tenderly
Before 'Her Eyes!'~
There, for her grace to see~'Her Beauty!'
I carefully arrange them, my heart bleeding inside
As I remove the old~"And there you are, 'My Dear!'"
I then stand, and I hold her close....
Kissing the perfectness, of her wonderous lips!
And I whisper, "always," into her everlasting soul ~
"Forever 'My Love,' forever!"
A bright gleaming as I look unto the sky
And then, I close my eyes....
"In your eyes, the light the heat, I am complete"
"Can we dear, can we"
She giggles, as I hand her an eternal
And neverending promise, once again, within

Darkness overcomes me as the night slowly settles in,
What’s left of the light seems to hurt my eye’s, I’ve over worked my body again, I need
to….Relax.
I slowly strike the match on the surface of it’s keep, I hate the smell.. It won’t last,
The flame gently sways on the tip as I light the wick,
My candle of choice is the sweet colour of pink, With the irresistible sent of mixed berry’s.
I sit there in the dark with only the warm and tender glow of the candlelight,
As the luxurious sent of wild, freshly picked berry’s swirls around my mind,
And relaxes my soul, I close my eye’s and begin to think… To think…To think of…
I’m all alone in my mind, there are bushes upon bushes of fresh juicy berry’s,
Blackberry’s, raspberry’s, strawberry’s, blueberry’s and many more,
As I work my way down the endless fields of berry bushes,
I pick only the sweetest of the pick and place them within a basket made of fine straw.
Occasionally placing one in my mouth while making sure not to be greedy,
The warm wind gently blows across my face and I know it’s time to go,
I finish up and make off for home.
The smell of freshly boiled pasta fills my nose as a walk though the door,
I place the berry’s on the table and go up stairs …. There will be a surprise when I come
down,
I bath, dry and change my clothes, As I make my way down the stairs a gentle voice calls
my
name,
I gaze at the table in amazement, Only she could make something so ordinary,
Into a masterpiece.
Vegetable soup and crusty bread to start, For the main course.. Pasta bake and bolognaise,
Then to finish… the crème de la crème…
Sweet freshly picked, wild berry crumble toped with lemon sorbet ice cream that melts in the
mouth.
The taste lingers in my mouth hanging on to every taste bud.
I open my eye’s, It’s late, I softly blow out the candle while still taking in the sent,
I walk up stairs, undress and drift off to sleep… To dream… To dream of…
He crossed the room toward the door as evening fell,
the daylight slowly fading and spilling on the floor
in pools of black.
The child was still there on the stoop, mewling and
wriggling in her basket, an urchin, so pathetic and alone,
abandoned like a buried memory.
He took her in his arms and held her close;
his touch would bring her comfort
like a well-remembered song as he bathed her
by the fire and dressed her warm.
The lovelight in her eyes, uncompromising,
took his breath away.
Older folks should live their lives this way,
invest their souls with such unwavering devotion
that there is no need for worry, or cause for anger,
just the pure and perfect eloquence of faith.
She took some nourishment and grew stronger;
the seasons waxed and waned and no one
came to claim her, so they became sufficient
to themselves, anticipating one another's wants
and needs.
Up on the the high ground they would wonder
at the heavens as they strolled by waters
shimmering in starlight, dazzling their eyes
to tears of happiness.
Storms beset them, and still they bore it all
like two creatures who have come to trust
the power of their love.
Sunlight crossed to starlight, he grew sad
and incomplete.
His mind left him, struggling and blind,
as time drifted by like a slow and gentle stream.
She cared for him now, as he had cared for her
so many years before, caressing his brow,
bringing light to his dark eyes, and she wept quietly
when her friend at last departed.
Alone she settled to her thoughts like a child
wrapped in a blanket and slept,
remembering his kindnesses and strength.
Finally she gave in to her loss, no longer able
to endure the pain of grief. The Father blessed her,
held her in his arms and re-united them,
forever, in the splendor of the stars.

My light dims as it attempts to stay bright while trying to guide for someone,
The truth of the matter is once that light is out everything else is done.
A light can only show the way but only if that person whats to be found,
But if no one ever uses that light then the user will be left alone feeling like a clown.
People have a way of showing when they truly want something or just want out,
They also have a way of letting their fear control their emotions and the creation of doubts.
Yes...you hurt me and I haven't done anything to give you a reason to,
Though we both know I had every right if I chose to.
Loving a person with no catches seems to never be good enough anymore,
And a good man has to be twisted when there's a woman he actually adored.
That is what it seems like so that is what it must be,
Love has become not an act of emotion but an act that requires a fee.
Those who can't handle it will fear and escape by any means,
Fear is only a state of mind but to the untrained it will affect all their genes.
I don't expect everyone to possess the same amount of strength,
But I do expect for people to at least try to their very length.
Open my heart...I did and look where it got me,
In a case and a world full of trouble with a bold, italic, and a capital T.
I vow to never give up but for now I shall give in,
Give in only to remain alone at the moment while I try to succeed in this life of sin.
The key that opened my heart will always be cherished within,
I pray one day that key will return to open and recreate my light once again but for
now...fin (French for end)
The garden curled around us as we sat beneath the stars,
In the silver shine of Venus and the rust red glow of Mars.
The brandy was between us and we toasted life and love,
While the moon conducted music from the dark green leaves above.
In the cold grey light of morning we may think things diff'rently,
In the moonlight, in the garden, there was only you and me.
Vintage brandy in the bottle seemed to ask us both to drink
And the flowers that were watching clearly knew what they should think.
Then your glass was finally empty and you laid it to one side
While you closed your eyes and kissed me and the barn owl tried to hide.
In the cold grey light of morning we may think things diff'rently,
In the moonlight, in the garden, there was only you and me.
There was silence in my city as your lips were joined to mine
And I tasted all of heaven and a little brandy wine.
As our bodies settled closer and we melted into one
With embarrassed little giggles that were sure to signal fun.
In the cold grey light of morning we may think things diff'rently,
In the moonlight, in the garden, there was only you and me.
So we gathered up the glasses and we put the stars to bed
Then we walked along the garden path, my shoulder 'neath your head.
We pulled each other closer and we whispered with our hands
That tonight is all that matters and the whole world understands.
In the cold grey light of morning we may think things diff'rently,
In the moonlight, in the garden, there was only you and me.
