Mcdonald Hamburger and a Cup of Coffee

I wonder what he was thinking, the man
mounted on a stool, with his elbows resting on the bar,
eating a Big Mac and sipping coffee from a McCafe coffee cup.

The outside view he was watching through the glass wall
is the flickering lights over the parking lot and
the sounds of galloping horses on the road.

As usual, among those galloping horses,
some may be carrying today, which is heavier than the day,
on his aching back, while others run with full speed
looking forward to a better tomorrow;

yet, there is a horse, like one of the remnants of a defeated army
who fought the difficult battle where there is no today, no tomorrow,
but struggle after struggle of dogfight and defeat, dragging his feet
with a heavy burden.

Since there is no color or outline of an object in the dark
you are unable to distinguish one horse from the other,
such as the high-spirited grand Shire, the tiny amiable Falabella,
the gracefully elegant Akhal-Teke, or the Mule, born to carry heavy
load till dies.

That’s why the darkness is beautiful,
it doesn’t have a color like the death; yet,
it’s not comparable to the darkness of the grave
because it’s only the flip side of the day. It will drag
you into the light, compel you to see the sun in the morning.

As coffee gets colder, the smell of coffee goes away,
and further, the taste of coffee becomes bitter with elapsing time.
Then, from the empty feeling of missing something, he bites into
the hamburger held in his hand and hears the “moo…” the last cry
of a sorrowful cow dragged into a slaughter house.

Though death is, beautiful if it’s accompanied by a dirge,
the moment of death by force is, although the soul may be
lighter than a feather, a lot heavier than the weight of the world.

*~Amber silents, daylight violets;
The charm of a lover’s tender quietness;
*Custom stares;
The glimpses that express gentle care;
*Love comes here;
Between two who truly feel;
*Love is where there is caring faith;
Just as the heavenly Father saith;
*Loves committed grace;
Whatever the two might face;
*A chance we come together;
With hearts lighter than a feather;
*Writing this love letter, caressing rhymes;
Shared throughout lifetimes;
*For all times;
Joys unfold oftentimes;
*Shall we write together "letters" and "words";
Enchanted music meant for songbirds;
*O love of love lets us write nigh...
With all our hearts we will try;
*Come write with me, calvary so lets elaborate,
With true love, there is no reason to wait;
*Shall we, yes we will collaborate...
Let’s pen the date ~

*~Amber silents, daylight violets;
With a love like this, there is no violence
*Custom stares;
Whispers of what we dare;
*Love comes here;
Please bend your ear;
*Love is where there is caring faith;
It never believes of a wraith;
*Loves committed grace;
It gives back without a trace;
*A chance we come together;
Whatever the weather;
*Writing this love letter, caressing rhymes;
Never susceptible to any crimes;
*For all times;
Love for love mimes;
*Shall we write together "letters" and "words";
Never dividing our love into thirds;
*O love of love lets us write nigh...
Together, we can fly so very high;
*Come write with me, calvary so lets elaborate,
We were always meant to create;
*Shall we, yes we will collaborate...
There is simply nothing more to debate. ~

Assumed visions sporadic obstacles
Vintage visions of a love lost long ago
I'm sure you're here
You have no fear
You are my dear
I'm sure you're here

Phantom promises blatant lies
Vintage visions of a love lost long ago
You are my dear
And I know you're here
And have no fear

Caveat mountains in the sky
Weeping willow trees in the Groves as I walked by
Clear blue green waters capsized
Radiant catalyzing beauty to my eyes

And somewhere in God's beautiful world
I know that you are here
And somewhere in God's beautiful universe
I am searching for you and I know that you are near
And in God's holy confinement I know he shall not deny me
Somewhere in this reality you are here

Assumed Vision sporadic obstacles
Vintage visions of love lost long ago
I'm sure you're here
You have no fear
You are my dear
I'm sure you're here

Romantic rap:
Right beside me deep inside me all around me I have found it and I'm sure to tell the whole wide world you are my only that's my only Everlasting always asking where have I been I'm still your closest friend next to Jesus He's the only one who can please us Place us together where lighter than a feather growing longing forever lovingly Faithfully constantly we shall be ever present that says God has meant it and as long as you are near I am sure you are here you will have no fear but you are my dear and

I'm sure you are here

Pecker

Feeling the need to put my words/thoughts in a letter
Not sure if hearing from me makes you dither...
Or rather makes you want to quiver
Sending shock waves to your liver

Saying you want to get to know me better
Wanting/liking/needing a girlfriend to prosper...
Checking your compatibility setter
Don't know if I fit into your sector

Feeling like your pushing me from your center
All the while I wait on your endeavors...
Just for a few minutes to spend time together
Because even five minutes w/ you is a treasure

I'm leery/scared like you of relationship pressures
But we're not on this earth forever...
So yes at times I may be the aggressor
That doesn't make me any lesser

My past was quiet the tester
The last five years I put forth no effort…
Because he was quiet the possessor
By then my feelings already severed

On the road to my new life Northwestern
Even before meeting you I felt less tethered...
Feelings of joy & happiness unmeasured
Body & soul lighter than a feather

Everyone says I'm patient & don't pester
Loving/living my life without aggression…
Smiling & laughing however
Even my mom says I was the best baby ever

So I'll wait to hear from/of your splendor
But please don't be a suppressor...
Talking with you in person however
Making me bubbly like a seltzer

 Still hoping to get to know you better
Have a good night’s sleep...
Let your dreams take you wherever
Waking in the morn, feeling fresher

The Void of Flight

Into the depths of depression I sank,
To the dark bottom of that bottomless pit,
In which problems abound and worries are heightened
Funny enough, this pit though not physical
Tells on my physical
'Tseems the force of gravity is increased upon me
My gait is slow
An my countenance an encyclopaedia of melancholy

Lost in my thoughts
And rolled deep in them
Suddenly an interrupting chirp assails my ears
Up I gaze into the skies
And then I beheld the solution to my problem -
Freedom like that of a bird

Out of that fateful encounter
Was born my desire
To untether myself from earth
And truly roam free,
Out of that fateful encounter
Was born my desire
To enter that void
In which my thoughts shall be annihilated
And the slate of mind shall be wiped clean
And made lighter than a feather,
And then shall I truly be free,
Free from earth and all its attendant worries

Even though wings I do not possess,
Wings I shall fashion for myself
Wings not as fallible like those of Icarus
I'd fashion myself more resilient wings
With which I shall liberate myself from earth
Then shall I soar free as I can ever be

Dark Skin

I was not told that I would be dark as a shadow in a solitary hole.
No not my soul, but the flesh that doesn't match the man who birth
me; but all of the one that spent seven months moaning for my release

I was not told that it would be my Achilles heel to everyone's jokes
and punchlines as they all fought with bare hands and I with a muzzle.

Words aren't suppose to hurt, but living in a shadow, how could I see
the light behind all the dark remarks that tainted my very existence of
living.

I was not told that love was color blind and that many years later I would
only see happiness when reaching for the light. that I would also be
criticized for not seeing color like many of those I grew up around. Yet,
their skin too would match the blacktop that we all once played as friends.

However, no one told those that kept me in the shadows for all those years
that I am light. No not skin tone, but my heart that holds anyone that I come
across in my life. I'm lighter than a feather on my feet which allows me to
never stay down, for I am light and the shadow that I once was vanished as
my eyes opened to the sun.

Poetic Puzzle

Just a quick intro...this is my fusion of a riddle in a poem and the answer is
something everyone is familiar with. I always love for people to guess at it,
so read it carefully and give it a shot....Who Or What Am I???

Poetic Puzzle # 1

I Can Take You To The Highest Point
Or I Can Take You Down
Fill You With Such Great Desire
I Can Make You Smile Or Frown

I Am Heavy Like The Ore Of Metal
Yet Lighter Than A Feather
I Can Stop Within A Moments Time
Or Go On And On Forever

I Can Give Your Life Sweet Harmony
Or Fill It With Despair
I Can Fill Your Heart
Your Mind
Your Soul
Or Just The Space Of Air

You Cannot See Me Come Or Go
But You'll Know When I'm Around
If You Listen Very Close For Me
You Can Hear My Every Sound

Now Some Of You Have Figured Out
My Every Rhyme And Reason
For I Will Always Be Around
Through Each And Every Season

Who Or What Am I???

She Is the One

In case of loud thunder
In jungles of fears
Starving for happiness
In floods of tears
I look back to her
My beloved mother..

When the world stands against me
When I face discrimination
When I need support
Or a reason for fascination
I sleep in her lap
To feel her kinder tap..

If I need some warmth
In a chilly weather
Or I need to make my problems
Even lighter than a feather
I run for her embrace
To share every difficulty I face..

When I fight a friend
And my frustration doesn't end
When I score low
Or my scar needs a blow
I rush to my saviour
Who tolerates even my dirty behaviour...

Oh! i wonder
I create so many blunders
But I am never left alone
She makes diamonds out of stone..

She comes to my aid
Without any delay
And adds fragrance to my life
Like a refreshing spray..

She stands one-legged
Selflessly for me
Never demands for anything
But does it for free..!!

The Weight of Life

In order for me to find out the weight of my life
I took all my clothes, shoes, accessories and even
my pride off; and pain and grief are offset by
the happiness and the joy, and stepped on the pan.

The number delivered from simple math
shows the negative portion of my life was way greater
than the positive, I thought weight of the other side of the pan
would not hold my weight. But it was my mistake, the beam
tilted to the other side, though it seems lighter than a feather.

No matter how closely examined,
inconceivable is the weight of the weight.

Is this the same reason though,
an airplane seems heavier than the air
but flies in the air; a battleship is heavier than the water
it floats on the water.

Although, life’s weight
may be proportional to the number of wounds and scars
like a rugged roadside stone, it is lighter than the weight
on the other side of the scale.

For Mom

Yes I love you very much, you’re the best of all the mothers, you can give me all your love, with your love you could just smother, I’m as heavy as a car, but I’m lighter than a feather, put your arm around my shoulders, if I’m underneath the weather. Miss it when I was a kid, we had so many good times, I already stole my life, I already did the crime, I have published poetry, I’m a master of the rhyme, life is like a pumpkin pie, life is like an endless climb. I miss everything about it, yes my childhood was great, making sure I stayed healthy, all the food that I had ate, buying clothes and shoes and socks, never picking me up late, giving me a place to live, not a single thing I hate. Nothing more that I could want, just a happy little boy, watching movies playing games, I was rich in terms of toys, when I was a little kid, I was very very shy, you would always make me happy, if I’d ever start to cry.
