Casey Anthony -Cay Lee

(07/05/11)

She had been acquitted by a jury of her peers
Amongst anger, hatred, bitterness and fear.
95% of the public know in their hearts
That this child s life was torn apart.
Circumstantial evidence and hearsay
Helped this woman to get away.

Where is the justice for her little girl
A gem, a diamond, a beautiful pearl.
Claims that her daughter drowned in the pool
Making the jurors the biggest fools.

A search for chloroform on the internet
And it gets better yet.
Chloroform residue and duct tape
Found in the car- the same that was
found on little Cay lee.
2 plus 2 -that the jury could not see
Leaves this case a mystery.

So many questions and doubts in my mind
But she got away with it- she did fine.

                     CAY LEE
So these words are for the spirit of cay lee
May she finally find peace, love and harmony.

Cay lee is our child although short lived
But this world has a love for you
More than your mother could ever give.

You have captured the hearts of this nation
Amongst the bickering and devastation.
Lies have been told- and stories have been changed
While you laid in a cold covered grave.

Your beautiful face and beautiful smile
Will be with us for quite a while.
But you are one of GODS cherubs
No more living in fear or gloom.
You have such beautiful wings
For this is the first thing that the angels did bring.
You can fly above the ground- and see all
The love as you look down.

Every heart has a place for you
And we will miss you - this much is true.
But you are now with GOD above
And you will have overflowing love.

Kept her malady a secret from the suiters who were smitten was Lucy Lee.
She rapidly dives from insanely happy to a blubbering withering sad little me.
Keep it to yourself her parents told her sisters and brothers and often too.
They wanted to get her married off, and sent off to Detroit, Miami or Timbuktu.

Lucy was an outgoing miss, as introverted as a wallboard in a cupboard.
She could go from zero to sixty in a flash said her neighbor Mrs. J. Hubbard.
The suiters who dated her more than once fled as if chased by a gator.
The one whose mother acted the same crazy way, married Lucy Lee later.

The Sea Cave's Lee

All words and wonder, wobbling copper green
Foam and guano floating
In the sea cave’s lee
A flock of gannets raucous on a rocky pile
And the ever-growing echo as the men came by
Climbed from the boat
And dragged it from the water
Bare feet on painful pebbles relieved by sand
And, at the back of the cave, they dug on their knees
Scooping with their hands
A tiny purple phial was found, ancient and Phoenician
The granite stopper plucked
And, instead of a salty seaweed smell,
An oozing, resinous scent
From the darkness of consciousness
A rose and orange essence
Though not exactly a smell
Rather a panorama of far-off painted and planted secret messages
Kiss-kept by a woman
The tinkle of her bangles upon her wrists and ankles still
Echoed in the cave as if the lady was there
Her glancing eye gripped one cold
The press of her heel as she posed before dance
The burst of laughter with friends
Admiring her pencilled eyebrows and plum-blushed lips
Hips and elbows endearingly tipped
She leant forward and whispered into the traveller’s ear,
All words and wonder:
“Find me some ambergris and bring it to Arabia
Find me some ambergris to perfume my breasts
Find me some ambergris and bring it to my tent.”

Lee's birthday 28.02.2020

Today is your birthday
There's so much I want to say
We're going to visit your special place
Hope to see your smiling face

I know you're looking down on us
Wondering what's all the fuss
We miss you Lee this is true
Looking up at the sky it's blue

Finca is the place to be
Sat with mother,brother and me
Chilling out having a laugh
Giving Adri a regimental bath

Gareth and I are working hard
This should be in a card
You are missed by everyone
Gone but never forgotten

I hope the angels are treating you nice
Not feeding you Berkshire rice
I'm hearing all about your family
So caring and kind just like thee

We visited your favourite place
Coffee and beer raised to the empty space
Then to l'Ampolla  we did go
Along the beach waves did flow

Although it has been battered by a storm
All the family on good form
Tapas and beer want we did want
So we went to a local restaurant

Your birthday gave us a day off
We all enjoyed a beautiful scoff
So we're with you on this night
I'll get the round - see I'm not tight!

A true legend you're sorely missed
Tonight we will all get p×××ed
Happy birthday brother Lee
From Mum, Gareth and all the family

From a small town in Georgia,
a place called Livonia,
came "Little Miss Dynamite".
A diminutive delight,
and a success overnight,
at only twelve years of age,
she was a musical rage.
She was Brenda Mae Tarpley.
Early popularity,
gaining notoriety
from the Ozark Jubilee,
she was found by Red Foley.
A young teenage prodigy,
her producer Owen Bradley
changed her name to Brenda Lee.
Before the age of twenty,
success came so easily.
"Sweet Nothin's" and "I'm Sorry",
with "Break It To Me Gently",
were big hits for Brenda Lee.
Big with both pop and country,
she won the hearts of many.

Author's Comments:
"I was able to obtain the valuable information in writing this poem from a small booklet included in Brenda Lee's CD collection "The Best of Brenda Lee-The Millenium Collection, available on MCA records."

Christopher Lee

Something terrible has happened to the entire world, we've lost Christopher Lee.
He was Count Dracula and he was also Saruman in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
He starred as Francisco Scaramanga in a James Bond film and as Lord Summerisle in The Wicker Man.
He believed that his greatest performance was as Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of modern Pakistan.

He starred in two Star Wars movies as Count Dooku.
He was a talented actor, a singer and an author too.
Sadly, this fantastic thespian has died at the age of ninety-three.
People are shedding tears as we say goodbye to Christopher Lee.

(Dedicated to Christopher Lee who died on June 7, 2015.)

My Man Lee

Theirs toys and their boys

And there's coffee for rent

There's arguments and reasons, your money gets spent

There's children and pets and bills to keep paid

There's friends and acquaintances all waiting to be laid

Then the grave yells out loudly

Spreading fear amongst friends

And you stand up still proudly

Awaiting the end

It's not time and you know

It's not time for you to go

So, stand up and listen

to the voice of a friend

If you really can't hear them

Please do not pretend

These are things that they taught you as a child b4 ten

Then the grave yells out loudly

Spreading fear amongst friends

And you stand up still proudly

Awaiting the end

And for “goodbyes”, and the word

and the meaning that comes

Perhaps it's for destroying

Your world of such fun

Premium Member Daddy Lee Happy Father Day-

My father, Joseph

my hero
was a chief
in the Navy ship
A veteran of World War Two
a mentor
though the years, surefooted

a guide
served 2 terms
got out ended up in Omaha
in a moment of loss
in a storm
found a woman named Annie Bell
proposed marriage till death did they part

you are the one,
my father, Joseph
you had some sons
of which I am one
I thank you, dad, for all you've done
I thank you for being faithful to mom
I thank you, dad, for showing me
how to save money
you were self-employed for 20 years
I saw in you a strong, loud little man
Only had tears in your eyes that I saw twice
When your mother died, when your wife died, mom
Miss you now that you're gone
Been 33 years since your death, in my prays I say

Happy Father's Day!
