Premium Member Zen Pond

The plum tree over the Zen pond,
reflects in vivid purple colors in the pond,
The scattered colored autumn leaves,
swim in the water with colorful carps with perpetual ease.

The optimist sees the sky is the limit and feel free,
as they watch fallen leaves touch the top of the reflected tree,
The pessimist visions the inspirations going downhill,
as the leaves wither and decay in the autumn chill.

The autumn moon covers the pond with its silvery light sheets,
The sky, galaxies, planets, stars and moon all reflect in its soothing bliss,
The whole contained universe is so calm, quiet and peaceful,
That even a tiny falling plum leaf creates concentric hubs of terrestrial upheaval.

What is the sound of silence?
Who is hearing this sound?
The peaceful heart sings its inaudible melody,
But always wonders, who is that hears?

She was a giver – giving
More than material possessions,
Although she gave many
Things – her gifts, the ones
That made my heart remember
Were her flames of tenderness,
The sweetness of the spirit
She gave so many magic memories…

She was a maker – a creator
Crafting ideas and pleasant dreams,
Inspirations that remind me…
Her heart was on display in every
Wish breathed, every kindness
That reminds me of her sincerity,
Her spirit, her light…

She was a casualty – a victim
Fatality, dying from the dependence
Alcohol, a habit that wouldn’t
Listen to her gentleness, her sensitivity
The reasons that she had this need,
The one that would silently feed off her
Humanity, leaving her frail, sick
Beyond words, beyond the doctor’s
Urging her to quit the drinking
Before her life was taken

In the end, she listened
Too late, she decided that quitting
Would be to her advantage
Too late, she would realize that her habit
Had burned away her heart’s
Enthusiasm, leaving her alone,
Without the love that did more
To silence her pain – than the bottle
Ever could – too late, her fate…

Passing beyond this world, to another
Where I hope that she has found…
The pleasure, that in this life, let her down
She died because, in her heart
She didn’t see the way beyond the bottle
Where her pain was drowned
Where her hope was extinguished
And her light was dimmed to a darkness
That wouldn’t let her see – this love
Is the answer to every heart’s desire

I don’t know what she can see from
Heaven’s gates, but…
I wish so much that Gearldine could see
This love that she shared is a love
That will continue to deepen life’s meaning for me

What Poetry Means To Me

Poetry is not just literature full of rhymes but it contains the emotions and inspirations behind it poems are an art of beauty it's a chance for the author to come alive poems stimulate the mind and aspects of life can relate to each other understanding that everyone has a purpose poetry is standard of learning you can not comprehend poetry unless you are able to analyze it poetry is metaphorically written to touch the hearts of people in general who are dealing with the same issues in life poetry is like a song with a rhythm and message behind it words may be easy to be written on paper but hard to be verbally expressed a poem can also put the reader at ease a poem can be a comforter in a time of need the words of a poem can help a depressed soul feel relieved that's what poetry means to me

Premium Member Love So Alive - 2

Love this alive will always thrive
Like stardust light, shining, inviting
Sparkling through the skies
Silencing ever doubt, every cloud
With gentle peace, promises
Of joy that breaks through darkness
Coloring the heart in kindness
A brilliant, breathless inspiration

Love brought to life without strife
Like shadows of intimacy, insight
Delighting the mind, pouring out hope
Across the spirit who knows Him
The only One who makes a way for us
Where no way has ever been before
The heavenly spirit, the glorious Christ
Prince of peace, king of kings, Savior
Of broken hearts and broken dreams

Love like this – love built on His gift
Brightens the darkest shadows
Reminds us that we always have His love
To capture our thoughts in belief
Our hearts in the warmth of peace
Our souls in the beauty of grace
Our lives in the wonder of His embrace

Love like this – love so alive it thrills
The mind who listens to its gentle caress
The life who believes in the second chance
Brought to us by a hope more alive
Than any dream, any heart, any life
A hope for the moment when we praise
With absolute assurance that He gave
Every heart the light to shine its flame
Through the life who knows He is
The Son who makes a way for true love

Love like this – love that is forever His
Is a love that builds a prayer on the soul
Who gives Him the faith, the sincere belief
That whatever comes there will always be
A light to pierce the darkness, a light of love
Who grows more alive and more aware
More assured and more like a real prayer
With the passage of time, the victory that shines
Through the heart who knows He is alive!

Love like this – love so capable of giving peace
Is a love that comes from the Father of our hearts
The God who created us to live in His loving presence
And feel all the wonder of His inspirations
As they reveal the amazing truth about our Creator…
He is the way, the truth, the life… He is Jesus
Our shining light – our hope, insight and love’s fire

Listen to the miracle poured out on our lives
He is the spark of serenity and absolute love

Premium Member Resurrection Sunday

Jesus died upon the cross.
His followers thought that all was lost.
But then Sunday morning came,
And the world would never be the same.

The tomb was empty, stone rolled away.
Christ conquered death and hell that day.
That's why we celebrate each year,
The resurrection of our Lord so dear.

Christ's death bought pardon for everyone,
All of our sin placed on God's own Son.
His rising made all things new,
Resurrection power for me and you.

Sing Hallelujah to the King!
Lift high your hands, let your praises ring,
To Christ the Holy Risen One.
Rejoice in what God's love has done!

On the empty pages, the poet pours her heart, her soul, her feelings – flow like the summer rains, erasing all the dark with grace ~ quote by poet

~~~
Poured out on empty pages, dreams
Hopes, inspirations, gentle peace
Feelings flowing, tears falling streams
Breathless light darkness won’t release
Aching to whisper through the trees
Hopes, inspirations, gentle peace
Laughter and wonder so at ease
Kindly erasing all the clouds
Aching to whisper through the trees
Silencing the worrisome crowds
With beautiful joy, drizzling rains
Kindly erasing all the clouds
Reassuring our hearts, our brains
That wondrous still occurs in life
With beautiful joy, drizzling rains
Since He lives, I live without strife
Poured out on empty pages, dreams
That wondrous still occurs in life
Feelings flowing, tears falling streams
She hides her pain
In the shadows, warring
Filled with hope, grace
Her heart will keep praising
Life gives her trouble
Compassion silences her
Worry and fear with kindness
She is weary and frail
Yet she prays for others
Gives from her treasure chest
Of love, hope and faith
She glorifies the Savior
She is simply amazing
Cancer invades her body
Giving her nothing but grief
Yet she gives out joy
With her life – her anointing
Her faith is her guide
She is wise and so alive
With colorful inspirations
She uses her imagination
To create a beautiful peace
For those who call on her
Those who know her as friend
Confidant – wife, mother,
Grandmother and so much more…
She lights up the world
With her prayers and praise
Her giving spirit – so genuine
So generous and uplifting
Like a rose, vibrant and rich
With colors sent from heaven
Abundant and graceful
Scented with joy, hues of laughter
A feeling so sweet it feels
Like someone breathed gentleness
Through the spirit, pouring
Love over the soul
And erasing all pain or discomfort
In her presence…
There is ever a feeling
Of pleasant reflection
Despite cancer – despite strife
She holds onto the beauty and light
The joy that brings so much charm
Feelings of wonder that linger on and on
Striking flames of amazement
Which guide the heart toward the brilliance
The dance of glorious delight
That penetrates the darkest night
With love that breaks through the black
Bringing miracles of the starry sight
Discovered when the moon’s humbling pearl
Destroys all fear of the unknown
And gives the Creator His applause
With a sincere smile shining down
Radiating serenity with a silent sound
That reverberates through the one
Who knows her – this lady who ignores
All the woe cancer holds for her
Instead giving back to this world
A deep sense of appreciation for His love
She is such a pleasure to know
And I only hope she remembers
Her dance with life is like a gift
To those who know her – care for her
Those who assuredly adore her!
Through the music of a child’s laughter
On the edge of a soft, silent whisper
Comes the grace that heals and fills
Hearts with sweetness, kindness, acceptance
Through the song that caresses the wind
When a robin flies over the gentle hills
Breathing hope into the precious inspirations
Of a joy that knows the comfort of imagination
Through the light that lingers on the clouds
Coloring the heavens in flowery signs of a smile
Murmuring merrily amid the grumble of rain showers
Flickering life into the heart of divine insight
Through the blaze of a fiery mystery, a secret
So intuitive and wise that it hangs optimism
Across the seas of understanding, adorning the moments
With beautiful dreams that haunt the soul with passion
Through the blushes of captivation and fulfillment
Linger beauties so alive they embrace the naked emotions
With a sense of enrichment that caresses the desires
Of a nature who reaches beyond the moment into eternity
Through the echoes reaching across the ridges of sapphire
Lightening the affections with simplicity and feathery visions
Lovely caresses of prayers and praises sending out illumination
Of joy, gentleness, feelings so rich and vibrant they’re healing
Through the promise of a God who lives in the heavens
Answering hearts and souls with inspirational messages
Caressing spirits with love so awash in ecstasy it fascinates
The life who listens to the still, small voice who breathes into
The spirit… assurance that His love is always with us
A certainty, assurance, reality… a penetrating tear
Dripping across the senses with fulfillment and softness
Benevolence and wisdom, freeing the soul to listen
To His pure, sweet spirit – calling through the sensations
Of a love that lingers on the embrace of God’s gift
God’s love is always with us – guiding us, filling us
Sweetening our lives and feelings – with goodness
Hope, faith and peace that meets all our needs
Brushes our thoughts with inspiration and colors our
World in hues of vibrant, flamboyant joy from knowing
GOD is alive – and He is living through my life!
