Distant Fires of Lost Hope

Distant fires
Smoke rises into a cloudless sky
Cries of torment fill the blackened sky
Stars sparkle as they look down
They see a world depressed
No money
No food
No hope
The world raises their eyes
Looking to the heavens
Trying to find a spark
A sign that everything will be alright
Planets traverse the blackness
A million stars shine bright
Too far away to hear a prayer
All the voices crying in the night
Calling for a being who will care
Asking for a little piece of hope
The stars, the planets hear but continue on their travels
They do not hear
They do not care
We are on our own
We are all alone

Empty

It felt empty… this night
I felt empty perhaps without a thought
From the world I found a place to hide
Yet from my mind, to hide I cannot

Running from place to place
With a one me unable to run away from
Reality to see face to face
Yet of unknown mystery I’m always to belong

I cannot see answers… I cannot find
Yet… am to realize I haven’t even the question
And of silence I listen… to intertwine
Simply… how life isn’t for anyone to have lessons

And I hear my broken thoughts for a while
I hear moments to only come with age to receive
Confusion is all there is encompassing down
Or perhaps… that’s what reality will have me believe

Not as empty as I dare hope to be
Simply a time, this moment without a thought
Hidden from the world, is my world I see
For what is to be… perhaps what is not

How I Feel

when you talk to everyone and it seem to be nothing to say
then you remember haven rejected you and hell condemned your soul to pay
then you look at your mother to cry out to
but she's screaming that same pain that bun deep within you
sister what a smile
but in the night which confined her to exile
what is their to be won when you have lost your heart
then you ignore the pain that hurt you at start
when you pray for death and all hope is gone
you sit and regret the day you was born
me oh me i cry miss love
i sat i watched you die miss love
in the grave i saw you white as a dove miss love
when you go into the world thinking everything is OK
you provide in a home were your heart thinks it needs to stay
i am nothing like a school play this is how i feel
in the world you'll find everything i say is real

Hope

In a world of pain and suffering
People lost and in despair
This world remains in darkness
Violence everywhere.

Marriage break ups, sex is cheap
Morals have all gone
Families torn apart with grief
Where did we all go wrong.

Knife crime is rife among our youth
They rob the old for gain
They are fueled with drugs and alcohol
To hurt and kill and maim.

The future of this world today
There's not much hope around
Religion's try to show the way
But within them flaws are found.

The Politicians have no answer
As darkness rushes in
Can anybody save this world
From drowning in its sin.

In this world of darkness
There is hope a light I see
For only He can save this world
And set the captives free.

Religion it will fail
Politicians too
Only Jesus Christ the light of the world
Can break this sin in you.
