Premium Member A Christmas Thought

Chinks of blue play peek a boo ,
Among the snow pearls of gray .
Stained glass windows to the heavens above ,
Upon this winters day.

Snow flakes in a frenzy fall ,
So delicate as fine lace.
In caressed like dreamy kisses,
Tickle hands and face.

Scarlet are the berries bright,
Against leaves of emerald green.
In sharp contrast against the snow,
Upon this winter scene.

For time draws near for tonight the eve,
When Santa drives his sleigh.
And those of us, who still believe,
Gives praise for Christmas day.

In a momentary silence,
I look to the sky this night.
In a thought of three wise men,
And a star that was burning bright.

My heart still full of wonder,
Brought forth by festive cheer.
And in hopes of what tomorrow brings,
Will last again all year.

Premium Member My solitude weaves the paths of the night that unfolds beneath my footsteps

My solitude weaves the paths of the night that unfolds beneath my footsteps,
And when my eyelashes fall heavy - a puppetry of worlds dims in their blindness.
In the frown of my eyebrows,
The Moon transforms into a sidereal onion suspended above the crests of the world.
I gather universes in my pockets, bring in my palm the dimming of houses and the gentle descent of trees,
I withdraw and control their fates; I watch with royal indolence as my tiny throngs of people,
Laughing, loving, shivering from wine,
Ignore that I, in childhood boredom, could send them into nonexistence with a single blink of an eyelid.
When I dress in the robe of affection,
I clothe the grasses in festive green,
Wrap the sky in azure silk and sprinkle the sun with golden pollen;
But in my sour whims, I weave my soul as a god
With decrees of vanity on my lips to conquer the hues and darken the corollas in black.
Oh, you, apparition that believes yourself alive, the inflamed silk beside me,
You struggle to escape from the tangle of my thoughts,
You swear that your heartbeat of love proves your link to the world,
But do not forget that in the whirl of this carnival of delirium,
All your radiance, every glint of genius, is a sarabande, my capricious gift to you.

Premium Member Smelling Delight In the Morning

Grateful to God* for deliverance from anosmia
I praise Him for the pleasant breath of life
midst jubilant smelling optimization
oozing with wondrous delights...

On a restful day of redolent vibrancy, my nose is greeted
by minty scent of my special child's shampoo
with citrus body wash along bubble gum-cologne
and refreshing baby powder after his bathing spree...

Oh, I enjoy the aroma of steamed breakfast rice
sizzling barbecue, creamy chicken-vegetable soup
with mango yoghurt while allowing hot chocolate
to blend with the smell of toasted bun midst peanut butter.

Concluding my morning festive flavorsome meal
my olfactory sense is welcomed by serene balmy room
verily therapeutic as I immerse for writing pursuits
gripped with the lavender fragrance of my own perfume.

*In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Festive Decorations and Hymns

Many Christmas Trees are seen
around the Yule Season in my city;
they all are very tall and beautiful,
but the Rockefeller Plaza's Norway spruce
is the most gigantic and spectacular
with its multicolored lights that resemble stars.

Christmas is a wonderful experience on New York's City busy streets:
stores, pubs, restaurants and shops dress up with decorations so dazzling;
where else can you find a Santa ringing a bell and spreading good cheers...
wishing New Yorkers and visitors a Merry Christmas with a tone so thrilling?
On Christmas Eve, Saint Patrick's Cathedral echoes with joyful hymns,
and Child Jesus smiles at children as they caress His soft and divine face.

Premium Member Set the table

Set the table with festive cheer
for all our loved ones no longer here
Set them a plate and pour them a
Sherry
They would want us to celebrate, to be festive and merry

Don’t wallow in sorrow for they are not near
Turn to your memories and hold those dear
Don’t be downhearted for those departed
That’s not what they’d wish for or what they wanted.
Celebrate life, celebrate living,
Embrace each other and be forgiving

So as we celebrate Xmas together this year
Let’s raise our glasses to those not here.
Their spirit and memory is locked in our heart
And for that very reason never apart.

Christmas Markets

How I love this time of year
When Christmas markets beckon!
All major cities have them
And some small towns, too, I reckon.

The festive booths display their wares,
A lot of them hand-crafted,
Their quality assuring you
That no, you won’t get shafted.

From jewelry (my favorite)
To ceramics, hats and leather,
The dealers ply their products
In whatever kind of weather.

For now’s the time that people buy –
The ornaments and mittens
And toys and t-shirts, socks and mugs
Adorned with pups or kittens.

Of course, there’s hot mulled cider
Paired with donuts, for such offers
Keep shoppers warm and cozy,
Tempting them to fill the coffers.

Today I splurged on earrings
Though I’m often quite contented
To just browse and see what’s out there,
All so very well-presented!

Premium Member CHILD FRIENDLY FAIR

Welcome to this grand festive fair
For the benefit of special children’s care
Highlighting their development welfare
With compassion and love’s share…
But oh my, why has it turned as a scare?

The Social worker has been invited to grace the occasion
Fulfilling mission to guard children against rights' violation ...
Thus, midst vigilant observation and discretion
She's ready to solve case on joyous kids showing terrified reaction
In a festival where prevailing spirit must be jubilation!

With clowns’ appearance in the joyous event
Showing quirks they comically invent
Kids vent-out, frightened, nervously fervent...
Thank God, they are pacified; their fears, prayers circumvent
By parents appeasing them so terrible commotions prevent!

Having worked well circumspectly
Proper authorities were called soberly
Affirming knowledge of culprits conscientiously...
It was learned that impostors are not child-friendly
Since they rob peace and order deserved by every child in the family.

The policemen then gently shout: “Don’t panic!
Calm down from being frantic!
Our fault, we didn’t screen every clown’s antic…
Since we think they’re all acts of magic
We belittle children’s mindset on logic!”

The youngsters now beam with delight
When the clowns are nowhere in sight
Having been apprehended by those who saw their plight…
What matters most is, kids are giggling with gladness' height
As clowns-turned police officers tell stories on doing what’s right!

doing all without raveling the two who

Inside jokes and shared moments

Dresses and dressed

Premium Member Alone With The Drone

Having the peaceful right

On a clear night

Hearing tranquil sounds

Watching the twinkling lights downtown

Not expecting any interruption

From deceitful local corruption

But to my surprise

Someone’s undermined lies

While sitting alone

There was a drone

Flying around

Taking pictures of the ground

Why was it here?

All I am doing is chugging this here

Beer

Legally bought

Being old enough I thought

As it buzzed

Doing what it does

I stayed still

Could it fire and kill?

I think not

I pondered nervous and sweaty hot

If it comes any closer

I may fear being a fried roaster

Quickly it disappeared

I no longer had anything more to fear

Except Iosing, the evening’s festive cheer

Dampening my pants

Looking like I made an advance

On the drone

Spying on me when I was alone

To combat this voyeuristic try

I went inside

Sighed

And decide

Not to blow a fuse

Turn on the news

Reporting the enemy was the accused

Calm I did become

Knowing things were done

But how do we stop this evil invasion?

And the distrusting questions it is raising

Keep acting humble

Let the machine go off course and tumble

Then crumble

Or maybe the drone will learn the lesson

Realizing its handlers, started confession

You see, it is not all right

On a clear night

To bother someone alone

With an invading drone

In fact

It is classified as an attack

Beckoning the response “take that

you neighborly nosey brat”
