Notes About The Poem

Christmas Tree

I unbox my faux Christmas tree, a tradition every year,
Adorned with baubles, lights, and festive cheer,
In the living room, presents beneath its boughs,
A holiday aura, a delightful vow.

My daughter opts for a real Spruce so divine,
Decked in finery, outshining mine,
Alpine scent wafts, a winter's sweet reprieve,
Snowy visions, Christmas Eve.

Around the lake on a cool, cloudy day,
Live trees adorned in hues, a picturesque display,
Birds chirp, lively ornaments on display,
Geese, swans, egrets in festive play.

Rain or shine, the tree stands bold,
A beacon of goodwill, a tale untold,
No shining lights, no silvery attire,
Yet, an aura of happiness, a radiant fire.

Congratulations on your win. A wonderful "Christmas Tree" write/picture. I enjoyed reading it. We have a small artificial tree, it is old but beautiful covered in small white angels. Have a wonderful day/weekend.................

I love your Christmas tree. There is an artificial one with decorations inside and the natural ones growing outside. Both impart the Christmas spirit and leave an aura of happiness. The poem rhymes beautifully. A great entry for the contest. All the Best dear Jay.

A beautiful Christmas poem Jay. The unclad tree has its special reason for being there too. You have a way with words. Very well done. Enjoyed.
