the ocean is unfamiliar

the ocean is unfamiliar
i see the aging in the seaweed's expressionism
oh how i love getting reacquainted with an old favorite
change is inevitable despite my imagination's best efforts

the ocean is unfamiliar
i went broke and left broken mirror glass in different spots in the sand
oh how i love catching up with an old loyal friend
change is inevitable despite my self constructed planet's best efforts

the ocean is unfamiliar
i became a victim once again of my own poor decisions and unfortunate pickiness
oh how i love the PeaceFull Feel of Charlie's Unconditional Acceptance and Love
change is forever inevitable despite my dusty wishes spring filled hope's best efforts

Premium Member The Secret of The Rainbow

Where is the secret of the rainbow?
At the edge of one's own life?
Whence does it come, with those lovely pastel colours?
Is it a heavenly art or a mere human illusion?
Some form of an ancient creative masterpiece?
Perhaps expressionism was reassessed?

The spiritual in natural art is oft-forgotten
in musty mists, where the soul engages
in confrontations with the deadly reaper.
The appalling midst of winter intensifies in the freeze,
and the psychology of death deepens,
for we are too much attached to worldly cares.
Characteristic emotions in cowardly conflicts.

One can say so very few words about
the astute business of a measured life,
like autumn's falling bronzed leaves,
its face value is not easily perceived;
for dead leaves turn into compost,
no peaceful transition true, but a must
that leads and helps life's renewal in spring.

Forget the troubled dream of dreary life,
let the seasons daub their watercolours bold and free,
the rainbow assigns a variety of mellow hues,
chooses always the brightest.
For the secret of the rainbow
a symbol of new hope lies in its Creator.

The Doggone Homeless Kitten Got Me

i light a candle tonight
i make cinnamon roll oatmeal
the only company that i have is a homeless kitten
i give her some milk
we enjoy the quiet of the aging night
we both need the calm and the slowdown
i pet the homeless kitten
it begins to purr like a child in perfect comfort
i think about today's world and am glad to be quarantined for a bit
we are unplugged with plugs, so i unplug everything
the homeless kitten lets out a few kiddy meows
i laugh at her attempts at expressionism
tonight we hide from the world
tomorrow we do more of the same
the day after that it's back to it
the homeless kitten stays though....until my friend comes to take her
i will light another candle the next night
i will make honey battered chicken tenders with ranch dressing
the only company that i will have is a homeless kitten
i give her some canned tuna
we enjoy the quiet of our last night together

I Am Your Blue Angel

i am your blue angel
paint the town of me classic black
decorate me with sweet blessings only found in the serene nature of the divine
the simplicity of it all does not have to be to abstract
all you have to do is love me with the ease of a gentle breeze and consume me with reassurance
this blue angle will illuminate your heart and mine with sincerely genuine gratitude
my appreciation will ascend far beyond the ambiance of any atmosphere and kiss the constellations to lasting levitation
it is with you whom i would rather exist fully with
the palace that i will build for us will be surrounded by greenhouse inspiration
i will make you blush with a rare version of radiance
i will indulge on the deep meaning of your exemplary expressionism
take this blue angel here and add yellow to create New Nature
take the classic black and add the beautification of you for properly added emphasis
it is then that i will love you completely with my hearts full participation and cooperation
that 'Happily Ever After' will be flavorful like a wild cherry kool aid popsicle
as i cherish all thoughts of you that warm my heart fully, i hope and pray that the seeds of my love for you will make the garden of your love for me grow....

A Pleasure To Treasure

if i took this day
and turned it
into something
productive, then
i would paint a
picture of you in
my mind in a
neverending era
of happiness and
abolish all erasers
for you are worth
the acknowledgement
and the honesty within
my expressionism when
i accurately describe you
as a special blessing
criminally unnoticed by all
in the previous lifetime that
you had the pleasure to live....
....i say it like this because had
you not gone through that first
lifetime, then i would not have the
pleasure or your existance in my life
and in my arms in this one, it is
definitely an honor to treasure the
luxurious, golden gateway which is you

Premium Member Sick Girl

The painting of "The Sick Child" by Edvard Munch (1863-1944)
was painted in 1907, oil on canvas, 46.4 inches by 47.2 inches
or 3.8 feet by 3.9 feet. Edvard painted what stirred his mind, and
this art piece touches my soul, it is one of six of the same scene.

It is painted in thick layers, in vertical strokes and has a hazy
feel and an emotional power. We are sharing a scene that is the
veil of Edvard's memory, the death of his sister, Johanna at fifteen.
The suffering girl is propped up on a pillow, she seems poised to me .

As the girl looks to the side perhaps looking at death coming, a
mourner clutches her hands, a woman maybe a family member.
I feel a loving bond in the anguish of the bowed head and despair.
The painting captures the ravage of disease, it is a haunting scene.

The use color and style is Expressionism, pigments of white, marine
and vermillion red, ochre, emerald green, yellows, and cobalt blue
can be detected. Oh, that thick blanket must be so warm and heavy.
I feel the girl's pain, and the acceptance of her death, her emptiness.

Premium Member Self Composure

The beauty of this African woman, is depicted by a wave of light.

It enables her voice to resonate louder as the harmony and texture unite.

Beauty is linked to moral awareness there is no beauty for beauty's sake.

Creative expressionism is popular with an emphasis on luminosity to opaque.

Complexity of composition, clarity of form and detail, subject's self composure.

Balance, symmetry, smooth finish textures, both visual and physical exposure

Aiming for compositions that focus the eye and keep the viewers' attention

Most masterful light refractions, and lack of various colors require a mention.
Form: Ekphrasis

Not Knowing Now Like Not Knowing Then

you may think i draw my own world
you may think i create special recipes for my own blood
you may think i force my likes and passions upon you
you may think my approach and presentation is based on long deferred dreams
you may think my tunnel vision brain is a pathway to valentines day
you may think that the old televisions in the backyard of my philosophical outlooks still work
you may think that my old soul is dependent on your replies that may weigh you down via my expressionism
i just treasure the pleasure of your company and the voice of your conversation that accompanies it
too much of too much can oftentimes be the breaking point of one's breaking point
maybe i deserve for you tank me to pure drowning like many bad decisions overcooking the body's overall energy
i hope to experience something and someone just as wonderfully similar one day
however, like a metaphorically, overly anxious aggressive driver,
i know that i will definitely be lying to myself
