grief— posture stiffened
blurred disheartenment
the visage of subpar
staring back, hopeless
guttural midriff reverberations;
sighs, tolerating platters
ultimately grasping—
everlastingly out of reach.
fury— condemned to observe
perfection elsewhere, nevermore
my own, imperfection a bitter
aftertaste of juxtaposition.
perpetual torture,
sickening phobia that
I slog a laughing stock, a
blissfully ignorant jester.
envy— offhandedly able
to swagger, bareless upper half
devoid of inner critique
waltzing a cruel shape.
Yet shackled slithers of
short-lived contentment for I,
unchained humiliating realization
that all click and stare mockingly.
anguish— social gatherings,
stuffed faces converse heartily.
nibbling, flavours burst,
overwhelming explosions
from bare toast. bated
belly hoping that it
can cherish too, but
terror. to the surface afresh.
futility— monotonous drones
“it does get better”
void promises, attempting
to blanket stark reality.
a piece of cake for them,
ironically unfortunate.
my stomach doomed to muse
what cake even is.
weakening, my mind asks me
“will it get better?”
as my bodily systems
shut down one by one
it never hears me
utter my response
just the empty grumbles
that never get cared to.

The boy of Roswell grazed at the skies wide.
discovered his real north, by the mountainside.
An ambrosial, vibrant voice rang out as sunlight.
a shepherding glow of his guitar is so bright.
He was singing of eagles soaring free.
In a rowan of aspen and pine trees.
The sweeping curves of rural roads.
There, everlastingly, burn spurring goads.
A yearning request, "Take Me Home."
The untamed and joyful grassy loams.
Art was portrayed in each song.
Nature's musicality is factoid, rich, and strong.
As sung in "Annie's Song," orphic love divine.
A quiet vow, people may feel pride in their whine.
The song "Leaving on a Jet Plane" yields sighs.
The heavens bid a sad farewell to the skies.
His aesthetic voice, enchanting sound, clear and warm,
A flowering tented oasis amid life's storm.
One lesson he imparted was to look within.
We must seek tranquility, where life can win.
The planet was clutched in his palm.
A gentle spirit, in every corner, brings balm.
While the body is dead, the soul can still fly.
Among the peaks, straining for the stars, so high.
When the breeze rustles the grazing land.
His gentle melody is still shifting, as the sand.
A reminder of the grace and harmony of nature.
Here on this spot, John Denver cheerful spirit lingers.
About the time August loses ardor, he melts into Autumn; she awakens!
Unabashed is she, this uncommon goddess, unfolding herself for all to see.
Thrilling to wind’s tempting tempo, she flutters, touching the twilight tangerine.
Unflaggingly, she undulates radiance through trees before their final undressing.
Moved by a mysterious melody, she meanders in meadows and in mists.
Nuances of feelings may come to those who hear melancholy notes.
Filling with fall fever, she fuses sky with terrain, flashing flames of persimmon.
Infatuated with her own imagination, she has ignited the world in iridescence.
Red, russet, and gold enrich our world; we behold her ravishing array of artistry.
Exquisite is her passion as she enraptures us. Everlastingly may she reign!

Autumn Fire
About the time August loses ardor – melting into her – she awakens!
Unabashed is she, Autumn’s uncommon goddess, unfolding herself for all to see.
Thrilling to wind’s tempting tempo, she flutters, touching the twilight tangerine.
Unflaggingly, she undulates radiance through trees before their final undressing.
Moved by a mysterious melody, she meanders in meadows and in mists.
Nuances of feelings come to us when we hear its sometimes melancholy notes.
A Quintain About a Fall Poem
A contest that I got N/A in had inspired me
to write a new acrostic, and I did not want to stall.
Personifying autumn, I used some imagery
to portray the splendid beauty of fiery fall.
Of my last month’s poems, I felt it was the best one of them all.

"The Eternal Word"
Always on the verge
Of Christmas/ Heaven
Contemplations merge
From Eternal Father--
"Timelessly shining"
To our souls--
Divinely "Be Mine!"-ing
Before the Beginning
Father/ Spirit/ Son
An Eternal Family
Our Blessed Mother won

3. CRADLE OF REDEEMING LOVE (THE THEOLOGY OF THE CHRISTMAS MYSTERY) by John Saward, 2002. pg. 134-135:
"Eternal Generation. The begetting of the Father's Son and Word is eternal, that is, altogether free of succession, without before or after, beginning or end. The Byzantine Church expresses the dogmatic truth in words that match metaphysical precision with poetical beauty: 'The Virgin draws nigh to bear Thee, O Lord, Who, shining timelessly from the Father, hast now come to be in time, setting us loose from the temporal passions of our souls.' ("The Forefeast of the Nativity" Menaion, pg. 211). The Word is the co-eternal Son of the Eternal Father. Whenever the Father was, the Son was. ... Since the Father is always the Father, the Father is never without the Son. ... Fatherhood... is not a relation into which the Father enters, but the relation by which the Father exists. ... [Jesus] is eternal Child because He receives everlastingly the whole of the divine essence, all that He is, from the Father."
Look ahead and move on
see God's hand as your guide
don't let your eyes drop at all
tell all to the Lord and confide
Each step on the highway
is one closer away from doom
evil would love to claim you
make sure you give it no room
The key to unlock this way
is turn it away from evil's door
thus then protection is in force
making sure threats are no more
Be determined to keep straight
no diverting from the true way
this preserves your very soul
on this highway everlastingly stay
("The highway of the upright
is to depart from evil:
he that keepeth his way
preserveth his soul.")
( ~ Proverbs 16:17)
The sun affects so much of what we see
it pierces into these places so dark
without the sun, it remains hidden
it's been like that ever since the ark
These dark corners hidden away
we seem to miss that hidey-hole
except when that bright beam penetrates
it brings out what otherwise would have stole
Now your body also has dark places
that when the sun shines, it bright rays
it brings a rich glow upon your face
shows up God's hidden hand done with clay
The obvious darkness is in the night
out there, only the stars and the moon
brings light to the night out there
makes one wish for a bright high noon
There's an invisible darkness in our souls
which is worse than any other kind
for it will bring an eternal death
which only God's Son can everlastingly shine
He stooped and wrote upon the ground,
and paused, then said, "If there be found,
among you one who has no sin,
then let the first be cast by him."
Read the story** and you will find, ** (John 8: 2-11)
The elder left the younger behind,
Who also followed them that day,
For all of them had gone astray.
The Lord then said to the one remaining,
"Where are thine accusers, who have no staining",
"There are none, Lord", she then replied,
For all of them had something to hide.
"Neither do I condemn you", He said,
Who is our true and living Bread,
"So, go thy way and sin no more",
From that time on she did adore,
and serve Him as her Lord and Master,
Who rescued her from such disaster.
So what does that mean for us today?
"All we, like sheep, have gone astray",
So we must labor not to judge,
Or yield to temptation to hold a grudge,
For then we shall be truly free,
And live with Christ everlastingly.

"if I had a choice"
if I had a choice of freedom experienced by wondrous experts
gliding with eagles way high within light from heaven or
floating with whales amongst the far and wide in mighty seas
or running with horses along open land facing wind and the world
impossible the choice as they are masters of their own universe
they know not highs and lows of life of human competitiveness
they live beautifully as intended without hesitation or rule
eagles shall fly whales will swim and horses relentlessly race
breathing freedom with wings alive and unchained as butterflies
let it be said without pause all three prevail if I had a choice
souls of peace they forever remain
everlastingly each flawlessly reign

Blessed is the man who trusts in Thee!
What bliss is his, what joy divine!
What comfort, what peace it is to see,
He hopes in Thee and is everlastingly Thine!
What bliss is his, what joy divine!
Thy Name alone is his strong tower,
He hopes in Thee and is everlastingly Thine,
Made righteous, he is safe in Thy power.
Thy Name alone is his strong tower,
What mercy great shall compass him about!
Made righteous, he is safe in Thy power,
In Thee, he is glad, with joy he does shout.
What mercy great shall compass him about!
What comfort, what peace it is to see,
In Thee, he is glad, with joy he does shout,
Blessed is the man who trusts in Thee!
{KJV BIBLE:
Psalms 84:12- O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in Thee.
Proverbs 18:10- The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Psalms 32:10,11- Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.}
