Stars and Strife - Part 1

Across the table they held their gaze, his eyes knew where they belonged

No music was playing in the room, yet they heard their lover's song

He held her hand a little firmer, gave a smile, let slip a tear

The moment was approaching that for year's the two had feared

Her love for him never faltered, her fidelity was pure

Something he had never felt to question, of that he was always sure

Across her heart in ink, she had the signature of his name

And in return with her own name, he had done the same

She asked if he still remembered how this love long ago began

Baby he responded, never forget who is you're man

Close you're mind to our surroundings, to the people who stand around

Focus my Queen upon me, on this perfect love we found

I'm sorry she told him shakily, I failed you in the end

No my girl he answered her, you were my only friend

It's almost time for me to go, tomorrow the morn rises without my life

My one regret my precious girl, you never became my wife

His tears fell more forcefully, yet he tried to keep composure

His strength was the last and final gift, the one thing he could leave her

Look upon the stars tonight, see past the moon so blue

The veil of death shall be lifted, that I may gaze down upon you

The Officer's called time, the visit now was done

The two lover's who had fought so hard, in hours' become just one

She kissed him as her teardrops fell and merged with his

The last time she would see him, but he had a final wish

He grabbed her wrist urgently and asked please remember me

In the light, in the dark, walk beside of me

Always I'll remember, and to the sky at night I'll wait

May the heaven grant us leniency, that God let's me see your face

A New Way of Life

Voodoo dolls and magic spells
your trying hard to see,
how it is I live my life
so far out of key.
No questions asked no path to take
just running with the wind.
Your catching up, your getting close
but now you know you've sinned.
To run with me you must stride forward
don't look before you leap,
don't think first and don't give up
the darkness gets so deep.
But don't be scared just look around,
breathe in and start to climb.
You'll reach the top and show your fears
that its finally your time.
You say you want inside my mind
so this time ill try,
to open up, to let you in
before the day I die.
Its hard to follow, don't get lost
searching for a path.
You say your love will guide you though
don't think poorly as I laugh.
But my mind is that of widows peak
starting to unwind,
because I know I love like this
is near impossible to find.
Together we will out run day
escaping from the light.
To a dark and deadly place
where there's no need to fight.
We'll feed on fear and stand alone
against the power of the past.
To climb the peak and rewrite time
to make the mental presence last.
There we will meet our judgment
and look him in the eye.
Smile big and say to him,
“This time, this is goodbye.”

Lil Jada

Pulled up with a 45 out the window, Shot up the block. Never thought my baby would be on
that block. Don't look now but Lil Jada just got shot. Pierced her lungs and she's laying there
dying. I'm trying to save here. Guess she got caught up in the ambush. Dang, man she only
eight years old. Why did the killer have to shoot up my block. The last words slip out of her
mouth " Mommie tell daddy I love him and I love you too." She goes silent. Lil Jada slipped
away like I wish I could. Jada didn't know that they was going to shoot up our block. Dang a
babies life slipped away for good because the gangs couldn't wait to fight and pull out that 45
shooting up a block with innocent children on it. Rest in peace lil Jada. You will always be
remembered lil moma.

A Year

On January, I will tell you no
word could explain you in the
dictionary.
Then on February,
I'm going to make you fall in
love with me baby.
March,
A beautiful relationship will
start.
April,
We will be talking on the phone
even though it's late though.
May,
When you kiss me, I still don't
know what to say.
June,
Holding you while stating at the
moon.
July,
I'm going to hate when you say
goodbye.
August,
I'm going to say I love you and
I'm being honest.
September,
I want you to meet my family
members.
October,
I'm drunk on your love and I
don't want to come close
getting sober.
November,
We let the haters see and say
whatever.
December,
The great moments we will
always remember-Mario Perez

Euphoric Night

Every touch lingers inside your skin
Every song pulsates in your mind
Each breath you take is confused and fun
Every light a million shining suns

The world is beautiful
Your face is too
It's a gorgeous night
I'm in full flight

You love everyone
You love everything
Happy butterflies beat through your bones
You never ever want to go home

You just want to hug
You just want to smile
Nothing better than dancing
Each glance is entrancing

Everyone is a friend
Not a care in the world
Just the sounds and motions
Just the feel and emotion

But when it ends its a fright
A dark, dreary night
Depressed and tired,
It's time we retire.

A Plague

Like a plague,
she invaded our lives.
Everything in her path she devours,
then she destroys.
She was the silent killer that roamed through the night.
The destruction she reaped was deceit and lies.
With the mask of an angel,
but was truly the devil in disguise.
Her nails dripped with blood from victims she claimed she loved.
It was all a farce,
a facade,
a lie.
But once she was given power,
her grip was too strong they could not survive.
True love was a memory and all its pieces were scattered in darkness.
So all that is left is the aftermath and the traces of a love that could have,
but did not survive.
