A Plague

Like a plague, she invaded our lives. Everything in her path she devours, then she destroys. She was the silent killer that roamed through the night. The destruction she reaped was deceit and lies. With the mask of an angel, but was truly the devil in disguise. Her nails dripped with blood from victims she claimed she loved. It was all a farce, a facade, a lie. But once she was given power, her grip was too strong they could not survive. True love was a memory and all its pieces were scattered in darkness. So all that is left is the aftermath and the traces of a love that could have, but did not survive.

That is such an awesome plague. This piece is quite expressive and states the problem as it exists. Welcome to Poetry Soup and keep writing. Please stay in the daylight. Great job! Joseph
