You wonder who I am
You wonder who I’ll be
But never did you stop to wonder
The future that I see
I think myself, what will be
I think, I think, I think
At every party, every time
At every smile, at every wink
I am the girl in the back of my mind
The one that sits and holds back tears
There’s no one else I ever knew
Until one day she disappears
And out came a star
A little, blunt desire
At first a little breeze
And then a raging fire
Identification was not possible
For who knew what hope even meant?
I’ve never heard of something like joy
Though my heart is where it went
Somewhere in the distance
The farthest ever gone
Even ice feels astray
On the mountain it is on
But who knew one day I’ll be
The one that holds its hand
Engraves it on a stone
Writes its name in sand
It whispers of a past
One that was once sweet
But that life has learned to part with
Now only a foreign treat
And that girl in my mind
The one that sits and holds back tears
Still cries from time to time
But learns about what she bears
It only took one little spark
The one that broke my heart
For all the ice slowly melted
Every. Single. Part.
It took that pain, it took the days
The darkest ones of time
It took the coldest weeks of all
Without any reason or rhyme
But here it is still growing yet
A vagrant in its find
But here I built a home for joy
In my broken mind
The lattice of the flowing life so very complex
Spreads on the plateau of time of no ends
Woven in a fashion beyond comprehension
Needs the handiwork of an intelligent designer.
In search of the unseen creator of destiny
Hoping to be saved from the storm in the sea of life
We follow the ritualistic paths of different religions
To worship the common God for His benign blessings.
When the religion becomes the pious way of life
It teaches us to surrender to the Almighty for solace.
The creator engraves His indelible image within us
Enveloped by the introspective mindfulness
Travelling inward on the undefined spiritual path
We discover the eternal core of our essence (Atman).
The pristine petals of the lotus of insight unfurl
In the serene soul illumined by the godly glow
It enters the sanctum of divine consciousness
Finds the mortal agony melt in the pool of peace.
Striving in their own way to get the grace of God
The two paths converge in search of the eternal truth

~ She fondly engraves her signature,’ My Dear Heart’
With poetry that paints pictures, a style setting her apart ~
Those hands gliding with decorative touches and lyricism
So vintage like her soul ~ a woman of depth and mysticism ~ ~
Yet ~ she is more than a top rhapsodist; she is a staunch friend
Inspiring me to dip the quill down to the gut; to soar, to bend
~For word scenes that are uniquely dramatic, funny or divine ~
And every chance we get online, she shares her love of all time
“This is how my day went," ~we laugh and frown about simple things
Making cyber world so warm, a space of trust that sweetly sings ~
Though I may be a ‘young’ souper, it seems we understand each other
Accepting our moods ~ and rising above petty site issues, rather; *
~
*Constance plods on while her melody swoons on renowned pages
Hosting contests quite strict with rules; but that’s how she really is ~
And now ~ I search for her in the forest of my withering dear heart
~ Wishing she would spring back; oh, don’t you think she must? * *

For Cyndi Mac Millan: Missing Souper, We Love You!
By nette onclaud
Softly touching deep cords vibrate within,
The song within my heart with golden notes begin.
As sadness flows trickling In Cello magic,
Soul's storm It Is flowing In Violin tragic.
Like a river babbling wild free,
The heart has no bounds where Love has to be.
Sweet dancing upon ripples of air,
A waltz In the clouds with dream's lady so fair.
Flowing Into an open ocean's waves,
Upon your golden heart your dream Love engraves.
Singing echoes haunting our world,
Dream's memories before us unfurled.
Rising salted emotions suffering powerless,
Sadness grows and the heart loses Its prowess.
Bated breaths shawled deep held Inside tears,
Cold Ice cube memories brittle Icing fears.
Floating breeze fluttering gently,
Touching desires In Love's flame diligently.
Touching each string cries out,
What tunes shall these strings shout.
A songbirds lament,
In grief It Is sent.
A piano speaks so softly,
As Its keys play music loftily.
Telling one story In tune,
That shall ever be told before moon.
How sweet your beautiful words sung deeply,
How they did touch my tender heart completely.

heels spin to worn paths,
mask grimacing yesterdays—
eyes not quite so sure
if this swerve of direction
is up down or whatever
sky stares down the gaze
but chin is still uplifted
as rain lashes face—
challenging storm's resurgence
mirror's stance of defiance
cliff gave no warning
of free-fall rocks in full view,
with no hold to siege
in the up-down tailspin crash—
to pucker up start again
chisel gouges bone
features blurred recast remade
as the past erased—
yet the scar itself engraves
phantom in impost's shadow
two mirrors collide
eyes locked in a frozen glare
neither one will yield—
defiance sharper than blades
masks slam together head first
shards spill out from glass
reflections just don't matter
tattered unravelled—
what remains is radiance—
that shines from the self within
Sprawling aspirant verdance vibrant,
engraves desire on the ashen sky,
spring-saturated spectral exuberance
spreads on my heart’s emerald canvas.
On the arid cinnamon ground cleaved ,
my auburn desolation pervades sly
through smoldered venation of leaves
with the evergreen hopes entwined.
The unseen tears wept in a torrent
fill the lacustrine cauldron of pathos,
forlorn life’s skeletal essence remains
erect still on the eroded mind’s brink.
The cadence of the fervent zephyr
from the yonder vale of yearning,
glides on rhapsody of lilac lagoon heart,
pulsating with the ripples of dream.

on the
hour glass track
within time I did stroll
for long while on the sea
shore alone along beach calm
lapped by the waves that rush
from the domain cobalt these crush
with pearls of foam string spreading on the
glistening sands of time that engraves my
footprints I have left walking the present
embedded now in the realm of the past
where they can no longer walk back
but can only watch them being
washed away by the tides of
time into the deep depth
of oblivion while I make
new frail footprints on
the hazy track fading
as I am walking the
remaining stretch
of the last mile

Five Shades of Anthracite
Triads of black white and grey in the middle colour in above and out within
Five silhouettes a passion play mix shadows dancing in the moonlit night
work art and framework on the vertical horizon of ecliptic thought’s array
Alchemy casts precious golden sculptures in the feeling fondness wisdom’s
mind tending to its business slow and fast evolving rainbow’s kairos white
Five shades blend into one reasoned action intuited perception truth reality
embodiment beholding earth wind fire water aired in carbon gilded nuances on
the journey’s crested prism’s holograms when three plus two engraves infinity
They overtone refinement’s overture into the pentagon from anthracite to gold
by way of any tinted tingle unadulterated quintessential and concerted meaning

It will always rain on me in all seasons.
Seasons jacketing me with dust,
Dust mostly from the dry season to absorb my hope.
Hope fractured in different ways in time,
Time unendingly discoloring my soul.
Soul trying to resist by pleading for light.
Light that kills darkness but dies in startling grief.
Grief that mostly engraves my title.
Tittle mirroring it will always rain on me but is lost to the wind.
Wind screaming through forms of pain.
Pain that hurts my brain and heart but bastes my skin,
Skin that wears signs it will always rain on me.
Poem by N. Mugisho
In the realm where time does spin,
Where destinies are shaped within,
There is a force we cannot escape.
Kismet, the weaver of our fate, shape
With threads of gold and silver, it swam
Kismet weaves a tapestry, never scram
Through the dance of destiny, we are bound.
In the symphony of life, we are found.
With each step we bear, fortune guides,
Leading us to where our path resides.
In the twists and shifts of life's grand dance,
Kismet's hand leads us into a trance.
From the cradle to the grave,
Our destinies, since childhood, engraves.
On the darkest nights and brightest days,
Kismet's presence never strays.
In the moments of bliss and sorrow's embrace,
Fate can touch and leave an indelible trace.
Through the highs and lows, the ups and downs,
Destiny's hand orchestrates the profound.
In the meeting of souls, destiny weaves a tale.
Binding hearts together without fail.
In the paths we cross and the choices we make,
Fate's influence we cannot shake.
In the grand tapestry of life's design,
Doom's hand intertwines with mine.
Through the joys and tears that we endure,
Kismet's touch remains pure.
So let us dance to the rhythm of fate,
Embracing the twists and shifts that await
In the dance of kismet, we find our place.
Knowing that destiny's hand we cannot erase.
For in the dance of destiny, we are set free,
To live our lives with love and glee.
So let us embrace the dance of Kismet,
With clear hearts and spirits lit.
For in its intricate steps and turns,
Our truest selves, it discerns.
In the tapestry of life, we find
Destiny's touch is both gentle and kind.
