By the early years of that ancient decade, the 70's,
I'd tired of my obstreperous tomboyish games:
kickball with the neighbor kids, sledding in the winter,
desecrating the peacefulness of our street's grave yard
with our bike races, tag, and hide-n-seek.
And I tired too of the pastimes of my season preferred:
chasing siblings with a hose, giggling and gleeful,
swimming at Weed Park,
and my perpetual swinging through those long, sweet sunshiny days
longed for during classes in my school.
Old friends grew up.
Boredom anon crept upon the remnant of my childhood.
At times - through infancy and beyond -
I'd been beset by a feeling of loss
over something not yet sought.
It was something kin to loneliness, but no. . .not that.
More a sense of gloom - a sorrowing for what?
I still don't really know.
Despite the days of inexplicable forlornness,
I grew more and more cavalier
throughout the days that came
between those odd forlorn days
because my old timidity, in fact, had waned. . .
Another face, fairer, appeared.
It waxed and glowed - assured -
until those “days - in- between”
had finally surpassed the melancholy ones.
I learned to stifle monotony and squelch the blues.
I became a "doer" of too many things to name
as I went gliding through with the Gibbous moon.
Soon enough, a fullness had arrived.
And now it must disseminate.
In the years to come, I'll be wondering this. . .
Will the shining face I show the world wane too,
and will my youth's strange darkness re-emerge,
eclipsing what light remains as I drift,
having come full-cycle,
into my final
crescent phase?

The wings blemish on the laminate panel.
The zany suit shudders at dainty muscle.
Sparkling splashes on abhorring emerge.
Brainless spirits shine over despot spurge.
Ill-mannered standards have been strengthened.
Wood chips were deployed to line neurally connected.
Despite laying the fault, she sparkles brilliantly.
Spitefulness, which to boot inclines daintily.
Extreme squalls will expect to be accused.
Humankind real pith has been frustrated.
Scorn and zeal linger at the core of tyranny.
Their pride makes the thin children hungry.
Tyrants grin as they savor their liquor.
Parroting raw decrees to the unhearing slicker.

Brief moments here tell of sad tale,
Reach deeper yet to know grand proof;
Invoke bright cheer to make a sale,
Embrace mindset that syncs with truth;
Frame of mind shows just what you see.
Intuit a feel beyond mere thought,
Note that bright glow that shines most free;
Touch wears a will in wonder's lot,
Emerge with grace that knows the way;
Rise to the times where troubles wing,
Laughter works face to meet each play;
Urge ample chimes with mimes you bring,
Dance dazzling dream where wise words sketch,
Endings can stream a curious match.

What intimacy is its cause,perhaps an immaculate conception of words;too swift to comprehend,see or recognise.The moment is there and then is not.Gone with the wind the seed of idea remains, to germinate and gestate,fanned by a mental fragrance of elation.Slow,self-transcending a word into a phrase, a sentence to a strophe;a rhyme rides a waterfall of cadence,into a chasm of verse. Terse or long, the sonnet becomes a little song,struggles to arrive.Thrust forth upon my page;a bastard-born of pain in the realm of the mind,replete with thoughts inspiration thrives,discerns over- spills,to reveal then configure and emerge:a fragrance to dwell,stay and perhaps haunt another
Fall is getting prompt for its chilly main part.
Spread each leaf until the forest floor is strewn.
Joined by bright leaves waving to the summer's past.
Differing old layouts, and not a trice too soon!
Spread each leaf until the forest floor is strewn.
And the heron shriek out above the clear blue air
Differing old layouts, and not a trice too soon!
While the white clouds emerge to shout "beware!"
And the heron shriek out above the clear blue air
The swollen creek has no time to fade away.
While the white clouds emerge to shout "beware!"
The Fall charm waits for our parent's offer lay.
The swollen creek has no time to fade away.
A woodpecker beats on a tree searching food.
The Fall charm waits for our parent's offer lay.
Mixed together, they make for a timing, good.
A woodpecker beats on a tree searching food.
A parade of old thoughts walks within new sense.
Mixed together, they make for a timing, good.
And nothing is lost when the mood is intense!
A woodpecker beats on a tree searching food.
A parade of old thoughts walks within new sense.
Mixed together, they make for a timing, good.
And nothing is lost when the mood is intense!
A parade of old thoughts walks within new sense.
My heart is racing as I latch on to beat.
And nothing is lost when the mood is intense!
The kernel of Autumn's singing is so sweet.
My heart is racing as I latch on to beat.
Joined by bright leaves waving to the summer's past.
The kernel of Autumn's singing is so sweet.
Fall is getting prompt for its chilly main part.

hours tick by and transcend
into nothing or eternity
maybe both in line with each other
body mind spirit hold the key
the lock may be rusty
and yet corrosion fails to arrest
what has to be and can be loved
vagaries obstacles dreams aspirations
blessings miracles uncertainty
courage and serenity seek for wisdom
faith without action is dead
action without faith barely alive
karma casts a warm shadow
for the light to emerge
opposites are not contradictions
instead they complement
compliment each other
with humility and vital force
the past is the past
future may not happen
and while it is difficult to accept
the here and now is all I have
which is a lot and
I am grateful with abundant passion
Ask to know truth when joy comes round:
Bloom in the light where love is seen,
Opt for sure proof when beauty grounds;
Use virtual flight to reach within,
Note how time heals the wounds of pain;
Dream and dream grand as thought frames form,
Look deeper still and know fine gain;
Emerge with span that vision norms,
Succinct the plot that primes pure thrills;
Surpass all moods to find full store.
Love sparks the lot as moments deal,
Observe the good in zest galore;
Voice fragrant poise where lines inspire,
Embrace kind choice in cleansing fire.

WEAPONS AGAINST ME
In the face of darkness, I stand tall and strong,
No weapon formed against me will do me wrong.
With faith as my shield and courage my guide,
I'll overcome any challenge, I'll never hide.4
Through trials and tribulations, I'll find my way,
No harm shall befall me, come what may.
For I am protected by a power divine,
No weapon fashioned can break my line.8
So let the storms rage and the battles roar,
I'll emerge victorious, that's for sure.
With unwavering belief in my heart's grand scheme,
No weapon formed against me shall gleam.¹²
For I am a warrior, fearless and true,
No weapon can shake me, no fear to imbue.
I'll march on boldly, my spirit ablaze,
No weapon shall prosper, in its darkest maze.¹6

The obsessive free will ostensibly latent,
overpowers the mind with trance of unreality,
obscures the course God ordains
l need to take for He designs it for me.
The radiance of the heavenly light
floods my essence, I discern,
drive away the shadow of ego,
and I emerge from the domain of conceit.
Free from the dungeon of despair,
I take the awareness journey inward.
With unfailing faith in God I get divine peace
in the inner sanctum of serene bliss.
My soul shines in the spiritual glow,
illumining the corridor of sustenance,
I travel beyond the bounds of travail,
believing the gracious benevolence of God.

Fragrant lilacs with flowers
of purple, white or pink
As a sweet half-remembered kiss
in my grandmother's garden
They smell of June and summer
A breathtaking scent that
comes floating with the breeze
The sweet, intoxicating aroma
while nymphs dance in joy
The fond memories emerge
the ticket back to when I was young
Silky soft feeling born in a cocoon
in muted colors and soft light
The scent of nostalgia
in a dimension beyond the visual
