Seedier media’s spewed a lot of late
Crude is all about lewd Bazball’s fate
Ben eschewed then stewed had to wait
On Stokes & ECB feud did concentrate
A tomfoolery catapult at a summer fete
Deranged but change won’t contemplate
Glummer fans can berate but no debate
Won’t halt dumber all out assault template
Fawn this new dawn to thrill will facilitate
Once did reinvigorate now does agitate
Ban this bland brand just a T20 ingratiate
Test tragics thirst perverse curse won’t sate
Hiss Brook took the piss & will aggravate
Ben we no longer trust and must castigate
When he then lost his zen & did denigrate
His men & all the plaudits he did generate
As Test cricket’s saviour we didn’t hesitate
Defending best sort of our sport appreciate
Stopping unwise franchise rise we participate
Tests out of date follow a reprobate mandate
Cogitate let's all just trust Bazball & meditate
New chapter couldn't create must abbreviate
Lust did rust so deviate to your ego capitulate
Ben did abrogate before he then did abdicate
You bled said in red Tests would emancipate
New autobiography a publisher did ingratiate
Was a helluva scheme to your team castrate
Then on Test cricket you literally did defecate
From embers lets remember when did venerate
Rule of cool cats & sexy sultry strut of their gait
We did anticipate how they did titillate & titivate
In the thrall of the gall as Bazball did captivate
Is this the future of Test cricket we did ruminate
Rid of Covid new bid to stop the skid scintillate
Calling card is freeing the old guard to salivate
Enjoy the game again as wins did demonstrate
The swagger turned to stagger did defenestrate
Of course horse bolted.. before closed the gate
We’re entertainers the reason they did extenuate
Facts and their foolhardy acts will still repudiate
Our chagrin as on seriously thin ice they do skate
The plain disdain for the WTC did really infuriate
England is in such a state has enough on its plate
From the ruins nothing to excavate as we excoriate
But blunder here and down under won't exonerate
Uncouth truth can’t be hid from livid fans who hate
Bazball gesticulate just a cheap buzz like amyl nitrate
The Vessel pt. 3 - The Midnight Hour
~{Renatus}~
Toll of the bell at Midnight Hour,
High above, —the full moon still
Below, a sepulcher in darkness devoured,
Encased in fog and Winter's chill
An ebon fowl of blackest plume,
Solemn, —perched atop sculpted stone;
Keeps vigil over accurséd tomb,
Till stir within of flesh and bone
Awakened from the deepest slumber,
Horror made flesh —forged from pain
With words and fists unencumbered,
By those who wished to control and maim
Twinge of madness with every breath,
Burning vengeance twists the mind
Tormented soul in thrall to Death—
Goads the raven from its earthly bind
Crypt expels this chilling disdain,
Darkness in flesh—imbue then impart
Path of bird and beast, split in twain,
Of Earth and Of Ether, each depart
~{Revenant}~
"Covet the land, no company I keep..."
Over the mire, muck and tangle—
Unhindered by pernicious terrain—
This Beast, spoke of —only in fable,
Recompense for innocence slain
A village, quiet, —till breath of day,
Save for the sentinel up on high
Wide-eyed, sober, meets raven's gaze,
Raised alarum splits moonlit sky
"Covet the land, no company I keep,
Mortal hearts fill with dread..."
Shattered silence from panicked yell,
As ominous fog blankets the land
Thunderous peal breaks Sandman's spell,
The watchman bellows frantic commands:
—
"Shutter the windows! Bar the doors!
Pray to your God overhead!
Then dare not creak a single board!
Nor let slip! —an utterance from dread!"
—
No sooner these last words spoken,
Tearing of flesh, then gurgling sound
The Beast, swift! —His throat torn open
Enveloping fog, a burial shroud
"Covet the land, no company I keep,
Mortal hearts fill with dread
Inevitable slaughter of the sheep,
An insatiable hunger to be fed."
Hear them rattle, a joyful song they sing,
Rejoicing in the rain's refreshing grace,
Amidst rice fields, thirst-quenching drops bring,
Four-legged dwellers welcome rain's embrace.
In the coolness of the rainy season's call,
They captivate a wanderer's delight,
Talking amidst paddies, where they stand tall,
Karr karr karr kokakok, their voices unite.
Mingling with the breeze, rural nights they fill,
Their chorus resonates, joyous and free,
Gratitude to heaven's love, they instill,
For a life that humans oft overlook and flee.
Happily hopping, leaping through time,
Seasons change, but hope remains,
Ever ready for the next rain's rhyme,
Embracing the life we often disdain.
Marie Antoine Cat is too refined for my taste.
The bachelor Tom said with disdain and haste.
I thought this was too bad, for it was kind of a waste.
Would have made a fine litter, both city-paced.
That tom is sneaky another feline cat said.
He probably has romantic thought in his handsome head.
He tries to pretend he’s not interested, but he’s not dead.
She is a gorgeous kitty, fluffy and very well-bred.
I had no idea what Tom’s intentions were, true.
But if he wanted good blood, Marie Antoine’s was quite blue.
I decided to step out of it, for I had not a clue
What either was thinking or feeling or what they might do.
Who do you think you are
With disdain dripping from your eyes
Splashing me with your disgust
I am human
Can you not see me
Can you not hear me
No of course not
How can you when I am so far beneath you
Flames build in my chest
Erupting from my roiling stomach
I am a person I scream
The sound thunders through space
Crashing into the room
Yet no one turns a head
No acknowledgement is given
I begin to shrink
Icy rain extinguishes my flame
I am no one
I have no voice
I have no face
I need to disappear
Not even the Universe listens to my plea
As this shell called I am
Refuses to fade away

It's not like children wearing color glasses,
Or like the spectacles protecting our eyes;
Jaundiced eyes are Like carnivorous glances,
Everything seems like preys in many a guise.
Isn't every human a true image of God?
Am I to reduce or offend anyone?
Didn't Jesus love even those who were a fraud?
Sacrificed his life for every frail human?
The Sadducees and Pharisees with their jaundiced eyes,
Thought themselves, caretakers of the Judaism;
They found Jesus was a man with no bias,
Yet, they threw on him mountains of criticism.
Though my eyes are jaundiced by my upbringing,
I have the freedom to change my perspectives;
I need to feel the goodness in me springing,
And end all disdain and intolerances.
I am given this life as a gift herein,
Using it or misusing is my judgment;
I know that the fullness of my life therein,
Will be the outcome of my true commitment…
Let me hearken to the call of the Spirit,
Lovingly embrace each brother and sister;
Look at them with eyes with no bias inbuilt;
Just like looking through the eyes of God's glister.
“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life” (Proverbs 4:23)

Time.. goes drifting by.
Dazed I wonder why.
I started my trip so long ago.
Nothing left to show.
What do you know
Got lost along the way.
What my words failed to say.
What my actions failed to show.
I know.
My heart.... Beats like a broken drum.
Has an out of beat strum.
Sounds kinda dumb.
I don't know why.
I don't remember how to cry.
Like raindrops falling from the sky.
Sometimes drowning in a sea of pain.
I show disdain.
To what is bringing me down.
I won't drown
In a river of tears.
All my fears.
Wrap me form head to toe.
I know.
Only one way to go.
To proud to cry.
Don't know why.
I refuse to bow.
I don't know how.
My life passes me by.
I won't cry.
I stand for all I believe.
Don't grieve.
Long after I'm gone.
Life will go on.
My words will live.
Some hope they may give.
To someone else lost along the way.
The strength to stay
Some courage to face the day.
Go all the way.
Not just WTC..
KG has to be..the OG
Saffa Jaffa gaffer….sole goal
Batters harries
Carries..never parries
Weight and expectation
Fate & soul
Of a whole nation
South African speedster larder
Is choc a block
Marco..new narco tyro
Already a believer
The length & strength
Octopus tentacles
Mr Tickle tendrils
Hefty lefty lever
But their rock..Dr Spock
Shepherd of the flock
Heir and leader of their
Racy pacy flair armada
No one tries harder
While looking so smooth
Ultimate slick quick pick
KG Rabada
Scolding batters..stagger..folding..
In tatters..crickey in the groove
Flatters…moves like Mikey Holding
Forget the coke farce
All swagger with the ball
Didn’t choke..Kagiso in full flow
Dagger and cloak bloke..VIP Pass
Follows champagne Steyn
Morkel reign and the
Vernon sermon..Philander propaganda
Trier…Makhaya fire campaign
Pollock bucolic frolic
Vibes of Donald diatribes
Finally even the scribes subscribes
Imbibes this latest great
Pips the rest
Fastest to get 300 hundred wickets
So hot to trot…beats the elite lot
Oh and also got the best ever..Test strike rate
But a little glummer..the bummer
No home tests this summer
Just such a shame..some disdain
Dumber mandarin sins as they kowtow to the cash cow
Meaning Kagiso will fail…no way will play enough games
To end the fat stat tale
Reign of Dale Steyn
Oh and a lovely final aside
Not only did they lose the race
Aussie doom and gloom
But the face of pace..Rabada the ace
Became only the second name not from mighty blighty
To grace the hall of fame hordes on the
Home dressing room boards at Lords
Do they make duct tape for a mother's heart
That breaks each time her child's emotions crash
Like waves against a rocky cliff?
A heart pitted by the tears shed
When other kids fling arrows of venomous disdain.
Can you glue a heart split open by
Empathy for the offspring who has no date to prom,
Never gets flowers on Valentine's
and who, with all her heart, tries to make sure
Her friends don't suffer the same fate?
How much would it cost to replace a mother's heart
Each time it was broken from the cries of pain
On her children's lips, or the brave face they put on,
When their souls have been crushed
By another's rejection?
For her, is the hope of relationship restored enough
To shock a dying heart into beating hopefully
For one more day?
Can you regenerate a heart run dry
From lack of trust and affection?
Is it sensible that the resentful little creature
Created from our DNA should also hold our fragile,
Crumbly, feta cheese hearts
In their little boisterous and unforgiving hands?
And yet, given the choice, a mother says,
"Pass the glue. Sign me up for a transplant.
Because having children is what built my heart,
What gave it life, why it beats."
Do they make duct tape for a mother's heart?
It doesn't matter,
because holding the pieces together
When everything is falling apart
Is what mothers do best.
Until the last beat, the last breath,
The last thought of her children:
The only pieces of her soul
That are left behind when she is gone.
The stern sun frowns and mocks
At the hide and seek of creatures sly
In the dunes of the wide sandy stretch ;
One chases the other with survival shocks ,
While the wheeling winged vultures fly,
Viewing the supine, torn and scattered wretch
Being bitten or pecked in wild hunger,
With grunts and screeches to feel stronger .
The arid air greets the cacti hostile,
And the invisible , bleary blanket of heat
Envelopes, scorching and parching all through
The land of dying hope and dead smile ;
No shelter nor a hide anyhow to retreat ;
In light or in the dark , every meek move
Finds anxious uncertainty haunt with disdain,
Leaving no choice : breathe or abstain .
An awful aroma and fragrance dense
Fills the woodland and the thicket thickset ;
Whispering leaves and the avian melody
Back up the anxious roars, and chatters intense ;
Any venture ends up in sigh and fret ;
Living is reduced to a receding parody ;
Might is right, and success a chance ,
And futile, pangs flow in resonance .
Round the lake is the overgrown greenery --
A meadow of reeds and creeper- brace
Looking over the peeping lilies that smile ;
The large remnant mirrors the cosmic scenery
To make up for the missing trace --
A little domain to live in , the while ;
The spell of croaks and chirps in tune
Enlivens it's own ethos with the croon.
The cruel and crafty hunters of prey,
Wait to pounce on creatures indolent ;
Often the seeker is sought unawares as victim ;
And the run goes on night and day,
With a blend of action and reaction silent ;
No order nor method prim : just so grim !
The realm with space and possession is null ,
The impulsive spirit of life goes dull..!
