Don't know why

Time.. goes drifting by.
Dazed I wonder why.
I started my trip so long ago.
Nothing left to show.
What do you know 
Got lost along the way.
What my words failed to say.
What my actions failed to show.
I know.
My heart.... Beats like a broken drum.
Has an out of beat strum.
Sounds kinda dumb.
I don't know why.
I don't remember how to cry.
 Like raindrops falling from the sky.
Sometimes drowning in a sea of pain.
I show disdain.
To what is bringing me down. 
I won't drown
In a river of tears.
All my fears.
Wrap me form head to toe. 
I know.
Only one way to go. 
To proud to cry.
Don't know why.
I refuse to bow.
I don't know how.
My life passes me by.
I won't cry.
I stand for all I believe.
Don't grieve.
Long after I'm gone.
Life will go on. 
My words will live.
Some hope they may give. 
To someone else lost along the way. 
The strength to stay
 Some courage to face the day. 
Go all the way.
