Premium Member Desperate Hope - II

This intrusion on my psyche tosses
a faint desire for up-smelling roses.
My shrink says this urge imposes losses
that the former countereffect poses.

I'm unable to muster the strength to
combat this bogus hope, this travesty
that impedes my efforts to better clue
cures, possibly true hope would be savvy.

Trust I won't digress to a depressive
state, bantering, hauntingly about my
kind, they'll lock me up for sure, aggressive,
delusions--you're getting all worked up. I

will be back. They're comin' to take, ... it's me,
they'll wrap and cell me, ... but I got the key.

Premium Member The Nothingness of Death

My mind's in a dark place; there's no light,
and happiness is but a fleeting moment in time.
I'm in pain, unbearable, physical, emotional pain,
there is no cure, no refuge, and no explanation,
only daunting, depressive darkness.

I wear a practiced smile to camouflage my inadequacy
in wrestling with my manic demons.
Seeing others love and be loved is paramount to torture,
for I've never felt those intimate feelings
and thoughts of suicide seduce my mind.

I've tried; God knows how hard I've tried, but I can't
stave off this deepening depression; I just can't!
Life lost its appeal levying such a heavy toll
on my soul, while death offers the peace of oblivion.

Tears dribble down the barrel of my gun,
pacing out eternity; it feels so surreal.
It doesn't take courage to pull the trigger,
it takes courage not to.

In a flash, it could all be over,
no more pain, no more tears, no more me.
I grip the gun; everlasting peace awaits
in the nothingness of death, all I need do is
s q u e e z e... that trigger!

NOTE::THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' (intuitive cadence)& so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and responds thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretatIon unique to the moment& changing according to mood is inherently variable.

Premium Member Never Hit a Child With a Belt

Never hit a child with a belt.
Don't hit them with a fist.
Don't hit them with a whip.
Don't hit them with a chain.

Never hit a child.
It breaks their heart.
It makes them sad.
It makes them mad.

Never hit a child.
It hurts their feelings.
It makes them cry.
It makes them manic.
It makes them depressed.

Never hit a child.
If you want to hit a child
seek help at once.
Because you'd better do that
Because you don't want to raise
a schizophrenic or a manic depressive or a drug addict
Right?

Never hit a child.
With a belt.

The angriest, saddest, maddest, meanest
ready-to-fight children,
The ones who needed me the most,
the ones who frightened me the most
the ones who hurt animals and called
names and spit on people and slapped
people in the face until the people
cried and cried.

They were all hit by belts
by their mothers.
Every single one of us.

Never hit a child with a belt.

Premium Member Finding Myself Where I Never Thought

Being a loner liking my own company
this being my early life was so shy
stammered too made me so insecure
liked my own self but my life was why?

Moving on till the mid 20s where was I?
stay in nights listen to Dory Previn music
not heading in any real direction
made one think and ponder to lose it

Started to write poems so dark, depressive
but pretty rotten stuff, so threw it away
then met my wife to be, life was good
but disaster struck, Jean left our day

Return sad from hospital , what is future?
prepare for bed, mind all over place
but at this point cried out to God
my soul found itself for God was on my case

I had met the living God
His love encaptured me I was caught
God drew my soul to His kingdom
finding myself where I never thought

(This is my life story of my soul finding itself in meeting God where least expecting to but pleased I did.
My first wife Jean passed away during our first year of marriage)

Premium Member Rain

Listen to the rain friends
It's a symphony for life
Often slow and steady, but
Sometimes thunderous, loud, and rapid
There are crescendo's and decrescendo's
Pray for rain, dance for rain
Curse the rain, dance in the rain
Who'll stop the rain?
Rain a grand "contronym for life"
The choice of God to destroy the unrightous
Nothing can survive without it
Dark and dreary depressive days of rain
Ones intellect must overrule the mood
Knowing rain will only stay for a spell
Listen to the rain friends
It's a symphony for life
The rainbow nature's narcotic for natural high
Captivating, enchanting, and elevating to behold
Sing songs about the rain
Create grand metaphor's for rain
Love the rain, detest the rain
Listen to the rain friends
Listen to the rain

Premium Member Choosing Your Friends Carefully - Proverbs 12: 25-28

Anxiety is a depressive thing
it tears to shred our very heart
but to hear just one living word
brings one gladness not just a part

Be careful when choosing your friends
for you are righteous so do right
reject counsel from the wicked
for it'll lead you astray into the night

Never be labelled as being lazy
it leaves a bad reputation by far
make sure to be diligent always
precious this is above any star

Make sure to live in righteousness
there you experience eternal life
walk in that pathway continually
God's looks on, he's sharp as a knife

God's instructions are for your best
His ways forever will endure
He sees the end from the start
perfectly wise is our God as He's pure

('Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad.
One who is righteous is a guide to his neighbor,
but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
Whoever is slothful will not roast his game,
but the diligent man will get precious wealth.
In the path of righteousness is life,
and in its pathway, there is no death.')

Premium Member Positive Ecotherapy

My long-winding EcoTherapist began:

Dialectic Behavioral Therapy sees Stimulus/Response
both forward and backward in time,
to look for thoughts and feeling tipping points
toward more harmonic confluence,
resonant and requisite proportional behaviors
and imaginings
of what may be justly and non-violently discerned
for future reference.

Meanwhile,
Compassion Therapy looks within these same S/R behavioral events,
reconnecting "SuperEgo" role as eco-logical teacher,
to evolve and mentor our mutual invite cause,
to respond with equivalently effective compassion,
react with mindfulness of each Ego's holonic
cooperative
and ubiquitously coincidental Prime Relationship

of Right-At-Home compassionate ecotherapeutic empathic/inductive
co-arising/co-gravitational orthopraxis.

Between collective manically competitive hysteria
and suicidal absorption toward depressive self-intent
Lies Tao's Wisdom Midway,
bicamerally balancing between
schizophrenic bipolar reiterative-compulsive self-absorption
with "Other"
into the godhead of Universal Intelligence,
and paranoid messages from Evil
that "Ego" is at grave risk
of both short- and long-term economic
and bi-0-logical bionic extinction,
in one paranoid mythic form or another.

Between these way-too-polypathic extremes
lies polyculturing compassion
for human natural systems
both within--YangEgo,
and without--YinEco.

Shadowed Ravens Watch

a procession

shadowed ravens watch
depressive day turns
the winds bring Frost

Skelton branches clutch

Ghosts dance after the fall
The procession crawls
To the point of vanishing
Oblong boxes of onyx inlaid

Crimson glowing deep within
Secret Furies fly in frightening
Nightmares flank the regal divinities

WRAITHs of mourners drift
White wispy lost memory
Cast in time back to the precipice
The dark procession reflecting
In Raven's soulless eyes

Spin under a clouded sky
The color of the dead
Mourn the passing of gods
Humanity dips into the Misty void
Full of creation loss

Deep secrets live buried
Within oblong boxes
Of Ebony and Crimson
As amber burn

Ravens clutch skeletal branches
Their black eyes witness
The serpents procession
Under these lead-gray skies

The cumulus just holding his breath
waiting to break has nightmares

as their vanities pass by...
