Be it
If it chooses to fly back to the old sights;
To the shattered lands, dried flowers,
Sunburnt darkness, dying stars.
And be it
If it turns its back
To a new world of bliss
Or another catastrophe?
Be it
If its happiness lives in reviving
What is left behind,
And could never become what it had been once,
A 'past' is what all is left of it.
Be it
If it trust itself to an extent of
Creating a whole new bridge out of the ashes
-Ashes that desire some blooming buds
Or flowing air
Or swaying seas.
Be it
If it wants to end its eternity
In something that has faded away,
Or is crucified by the cruel creeds
Of time.
Be it
If it flies in its own freedom of dreams
A heart- is why it is named so, maybe.
Let it live
Before it dies in the flood of realization
And wakes to the barren lands.
So be it, if it...
I pray to that dead
criminal Jesus - to set
us right - restore us.
We’re a mess - like
spilled salt - remember the
fresh air of freedom?
In dreams I search - there
must be a cure lying
around somewhere..
Eyelid shades
open on chiaroscuro
lit, moody mornings.
I keep my head down
I’m doing my fey best, to
let nothing touch me.

** Note: I was raised a Catholic. Jesus wasn't crucified by some accident - he was executed as a criminal - that's just a fact - not an attack on Christianity - I would never attack a religion.. except maybe Scientology... that was a JOKE!! aarrgghhh!
If poetry is art (I rather think it is) then one purpose is to engage and provoke emotion - I confess that the first stanza is meant to engage the reader.. hhhmmm.. maybe too much? I AM a beginner - after all.
Tomorrow’s another day, when
this present is dead and done
In reality one rotation, on
earths path around the sun
The position can be calculated,
but what lies in store unknown
Our planet’s measurable, not
unpredictable like skin and bone
And what happened in the past,
ripples on through today
Unnoticed in black space,
random events still come our way
Set forth in motion, from an
indivisible speck of creation
Seeded is life, seeded is death,
seeded by quantum vibration
Does evolution even matter,
is what we see, what we get
A generation tries find purpose,
then hands over to the next
Accumulations of knowledge,
with caveats of past mistakes
Our monkey business perhaps,
one condition we cannot shake
Are we simply apex animals,
who developed higher brains
Beasts of untold genius, primal
instinct runs through our veins
Intelligence driving us mad,
at odds with ethics and morals
A fixation on mortality, conflicts
of minds causing quarrels
What is consciousness, from
which dimension do we view
Electric signals in our heads,
or cosmic portals seeping through
Wherever this source comes from,
and nobody knows for sure
So many gods and theories,
small wonder life’s obscure
Cryptic forces build reality,
but not readily understood
Dark energy, Higgs fields,
the shape of Genomes in our blood
Crucified by curiosity, because
of our advanced minds
Is the price of being too clever,
really just making us blind
What brings manifestation,
should we look for reason at all
Why not sheer oblivion, how
come an infinite large and small
Born to die is simple, living
forever way too complex
Does truth lie in the medium,
where chosen ones intersect
Where are you Jesus
Where are you Muhammad
Where are you God
Where are you Buddha
Where are you Allah
I’m wide awake,
in this land of nod

The religious zealots,
say they will pray for us,
They look down their nose
at us with disgust.
They say repent;
they claim we are an abomination,
We are headed straight for
hell, fire and damnation.
They scream we offend them
and their religion,
It is none of their business;
not their decision.
Eighty percent of churches
condemn homosexuality,
They explain it’s a sin
and say it is an abnormality.
Gays are four times more likely to be
alcoholics, addicts and attempt suicide,
From day one most of us feel
we have been crucified.
Everything is cool as long
as you don't get caught,
If exposed,
they strike while the iron is hot.
From the very beginning
we have been ostracized,
The very essence of our
being they criticize.
Religion and queers
are always conflicting,
Their words and actions
always contradicting.
I know I have always
stayed away from finding God,
I was told I would
face the firing squad.
This always stayed
in my heart and head,
Being a homo;
people want you dead.
You can always feel
their eyes watching you,
If they catch you alone;
they beat you black and blue.
All this negative input
you cannot help but internalize,
I use to think to myself;
why am I being depersonalized.
Let me close this up by saying
it is much better than it used to be,
If I had a choice;
I would rather it be you than me…

taking number three
on the face
the one trinity
holding in one's hand
the golden
gateway to paradise
a crucifix
the key
to heaven
three days
Jonah spent inside
a whale
our body
a temple
split three ways
like the shamrock
a symbol from
our dear St Patrick
God is
the father
our creator
crucified
upon a cross
his son Jesus
on the third day
he rose again
in the Holy grail
according to the scriptures
a blessed spirit
our hearts
the inner voice
speaking
from the soul
i believe
on our third day
the soul rises
higher
meeting one's spirit
in limbo
three draws out
a magic number
enlightens me

A solitary tear escapes my eye,
As poignant thoughts shuffle my decor.
If only I could rewrite the script, defy,
To release the burden that anchor my core.
"Why me?" reverberates through the ventricles, mummified,
Ripped apart by destiny's cruel spell.
In this moment of truth, I stand crucified,
Awaiting light to penetrate each cell.
Acquaintances revel in my agony,
As I waddle through the puddles,
Tripped by the weight of bitter irony,
In molasses-like mean shackles.
Yet I strive to rise from the ashes of fire,
As cadavers of self-pity unleash,
Infusing life into a desert's sapphire,
Elevating my spirit—hope as a feast.
God wrote his word into the minds of men through “revelation” without a flaw and in total truth.
The Bible is the inerrant word of God, unending wisdom, prophecy of perfectly accurate accounts of what is to come. Never wrong,
hidden events that only come out in God’s timeline and never fails. World event cast in stone.
The Jew, who have survived all the kingdoms that enslaved them and tried to erase them from history and now those kingdoms have recanted their power to the dust of time and I muse that Israel is the strongest country in the world due to the fact that the hand of God is on them.
They failed to recognize their Messiah and crucified him on the cross, thus losing the chance to transfer salvation to the gentile world. God instead chose a “Jesus hating” Jew and converted him as he traveled on the road to Damascus. Soul of Tarsus, who later became known as Paul, brought the Gospel of Grace by Faith in the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ to all men.
The Bible says that the Jew will be a stumbling stone. God said that he would curse them that curse Israel, and bless them that bless Israel. The Jew have blessed the world through their intellect in the fields of medicine and technology but more important for the Gentil they brought him salvation through Jesus Christ. The Jew for whom God said that he would make the desert bloom again and Israel grows some of the best produce in the world.
The Jew, if not for one man would have lost their language, retained it and it is spoken today.
Israel belongs to God and Jerusalem is God’s city. Israel will never be defeated as a nation. The Jew is a witness for creation and God has revealed himself through them and the Holy Bible. God will deal with the nation of Israel after the rapture of the church.
I ponder on this and marvel at such a tiny country, so prominent in the Bible is so prominent today. A country about the size of New Jersey and surrounded by her enemies. It defies logic. What other country so small, could stand up to such hate and why such hate. Only Israel and Bible truth can be the answer.

Title:
Calvary Dreams
(A lone voice whispers)
I heard your sweet voice
Today
On our anniversary,
Your birthday
That old well-loved familiar sound
Whenever I press
play
To see and hear you
On that old wedding tape
We once made
You still look so beautiful and sound so soft and sweet
I couldn't sleep
But stand up straight,
Weep
Rewind and repeat
Oh, why does God give you such grief
Whenever
I see you or hear your voice
To then stand still
In total disbelief
And realise you're now living in new lands of immortality
And then I always remember
Calvary
A dark place
Enshrined in human history
Hanging
Painted up
In so many famous
Art galleries
So much wrong
Done to one
So strong
One crucified
For us and mankind
To sing a new song
A new song
So all could belong
To the light
Whenever their time came
And they could no longer fight
Cancer like you
Time or some other kind of pain
So now
Whenever hear your sweet voice
Or your name whispered
Like on your birthday
Today
That familiar lovely sound
When I finally find the courage
To press play
To sit and reminisce about my true love
On that special day
Our wedding
And her incredible captivating spirituality
I just know you're safe
Smiling down
Looking my way
My beloved
Still loved wife called Mary
Because Jesus died
For you and me
Even though
Crucified
By Evil
But never alone
At Calvary
So we could all rise
With the call of the
Golden Trombone
To atone
To then enter
Our true home
Under God's
Super Dome
I still miss you so much, but deep down I always know
God only calls the best ones home early and that's why in April
It will always feel like snow

Born into this world as a humble, helpless Babe
Christ increased in wisdom and stature
Grew up in favour with both God and man
Baptised publicly by John the Baptist
Tempted by the devil, but overcame him
Preached the gospel of the kingdom of God
Befriended the publicans and the sinners
Turned the water into wine, did miracles
Cast out demons, healed all kinds of diseases
Backed up twelve fishermen as His disciples
Taught them, led them, and washed their feet
Spent three and a half years moulding them
Broken, He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane
His sweat as blood, such spiritual agony
Ready to do the will of God and drink the cup
Beaten and scourged on the way to Calvary
A crown of thorns placed upon His head
Spat upon, mocked, and smote by the soldiers
Bruised, He was crucified on the cruel Cross
He hung there with no form nor comeliness
Reviled by passers-by wagging their heads
Bereft and forsaken by His own Father
Carrying the sins of the entire world
He suffered and bled, but forgave and loved
Beseeching His Heavenly Father to receive His Spirit
Lord Jesus Christ gave up his ghost on the Cross
And the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom
Buried in a new rock sepulchre, the stone was rolled
The tomb was sealed and the watch was set
But on the third day, as prophesied, our Lord rose up
Behold, there was a great earthquake
The angel of the Lord descended from heaven
And rolled back the stone and sat upon it
Bewildered, the women heard him saying,
“Fear not, ye seek Jesus who was crucified,
He is not here, for He is risen, come see where they laid Him”
Brutal death could not chain our Lord,
He overcame it and appeared to His disciples
And was carried up into heaven
Believe on the Lord Jesus, He was crucified for our sins,
But He resurrected from the dead, never to die again
Now He sits on the right hand of God, interceding for our sins
Beloved, He will come back one day
Not as the Lamb, but as the Lion
To take His loved ones unto Himself
Before it is too late, accept Him into your heart
You will enjoy peace, love and joy, which this world can’t offer
Repent, believe and rejoice for the Lord Jesus Christ is alive.

For Regina McIntosh's "Easter" contest
Over two thousand years ago it was
when the son of God physically died
there history tells this undoubted truth
Jesus Christ sacrifice salvation applied
The people there cried out to see
that this Jesus be put to His death
but was it only them that did this?
no, ALL who lived took His last breath
WE were all there that dayat Calvary
yes YOU crucified the son of God
rejecting His love, grace and mercy
think we're innocent when we're fraud
But such is the depth of God's love
it reaches down to even such as WE
even there Jesus cries forgive them
nailed He was upon cruel's Calvary's tree
This gospel still applies even today
even though YOU put saviour on the tree
He offers His love from sins bondage
receive Him now salvation full and free
('And they crucified him' Mark 15: 24) )
