Morgans Fool

Theories of killers fall from blonde to grey rivers
A man with a face controlled by a robot
Rolls a kart with forgotten songs of Eagles and Hawks
I fought a cry seeing our friends goodbye
I heard a ringing I could not breathe
Somewhere there was the missing voice of make-believe
An acoustic drink ,a punch of a swing off a tree
The peeling worn out shade
Lifts the suade off a Saturday moon
Rebellious fires burn holiday seeds of pumpkins and carrots
I tried to be different everyone left but were never here
I tried to be cool but the string of limousines got tied up in a tree of lies
I tried to fall in love
But ended up a 3rd party fool

Premium Member I Am a Very Sensitive Man

i am a very sensitive man
live in the horror of restaurants
those with those long salad bars
the celery are mostly quiet
it is the tomatoes that moan the loudest
broccoli screams tempest across the room
carrots bear the misery best
exists in a shredded mess
Vidalia onions chorus with the red
survival that aromas sweetly
from table to table
watching lettuce and cabbage
disappear down the throats
above the silent ears
that cannot hear
the cries of death coming from
the now silent salad bar
i stare down at the steak
solely upon my plate and ruminate
do vegetarian humans taste
like chicken

Premium Member The Carcass

The Carcass

The best part of the meal,
the bones, the things others throw away.
The wingtips, the neck, the gizzard, the lizard...
a fowl needs to be cooked and stewed.

A bit of broth, a giant onion, scallions if you have them.
Carrots because they are bright orange...
Celery, long stalks, and short,
for the picky and tough eaters.

Simmer and boil, worth the effort,
like friendship and the kitchen sink.
It makes you question,
"Why do good cooks have so many friends?"
The answer plain and apparent.
They know how to roll dough and make bread.
Both having nothing to do with money.
Yet worth more than a fortune,
to all that need to eat,
all who are hungry.

Chicken noodle, turkey steak,
pork chops and wine in a cave,
held by the rich, while the poor starved.
Buying the votes of the country,
(is it for sale? has it already been sold?)
while holding us/it hostage...
for the holidays.

The New Year gives US(a) promises,
maybe no one can keep.
Black-eyed peas are sold out,
at the store,
in case you want more,
than before.
There will be less for all,
if they change the law,
and no president,
will ever be free...
and for the people...
again.

Dinner Time

At the kitchen table
Sat still like stone statues – petrified.
A sick game of musical chairs
Sat waiting for the muted music to play again.
Saplings uprooted early; replanted in rows
seated in toxic soil – a stunted growth.
Wooden faces: no smiles or frowns.
Emotions set in stone from eyes set on Medusa’s head.

The slim cracks in plates a widening schism
Where we sit stranded on one side.
An earthquake leaving never ending ripples in the water.
A word or deed, seen or heard. On repeat.
Chairs with no more legs to stand on. Everything and everyone on edge;
Braced to face a world turned upside down.
Sliding plates and tilted tables; fallen trees and twisted broccoli.
A seismic shift from foreboding calm to unnatural disaster.

With shattered glass come shattered dreams
Shards bursting imaginary balloons of hope – slivers of normalcy.
Promises smashed against the hard cold walls;
Fragmented, strewn and lost forever.
Reflections in the broken glass show broken faces –
A blackened eye, a frown mistaken for a smile.
Sliced lips hiding wobbly teeth; a stern and stoic jigsawed face.
Hiding years and months and days and lifetimes.

Ketchup splattered walls dripping fast past congealed blood
From last week, last year. Running parallel to tears on faces.
Races with no prizes for the winner once the finish line is crossed.
Blunt knives, sharp tongues. In a colour red
To go with black and blue and green and carrots, beets and peas.
Sealed lips, bitten tongues. Tension cut like a rusty knife
Through sweetest bread. Through gullet, throat or neck.
Heart and stomach; guts and innards without the glory.

Sweet tooth lying bloodied at the head of the table.
Unseated from its usual place. Yet no crown in sight. No coronation.
A King without kith or kin. No heart; just jacks and jokers
Pummelled hard with clubs and spades. With withered spoon for humble pie.
A cry for just desserts fit for a King: The final serving is a bag of frozen peas
Applied to faces with a frozen look - chiselled art with eyes still warm.
Tears like ice – shaped like shiny diamonds. Sat on tired cheeks –
Semi-permanent. Sure to thaw well before the King is overthrown.

You've Been Sanctity Claused

I was a potato type of guy, forget the cookies and carrots,
didn't believe in Santa nor Cinderellas with golden chariots .
Twas' late at night as I crunched my chips I watched TV
lo and behold what did I hear ? a large thump and a humf,
coming from the chimney, Oh Dear !
He stomped and he clomped then he said to me,
" You live like a pigster and where is your sister ?
clean up your place, what the Hee! "
He held up a sock and my heart went KerPlunk
as I watched him remove all my favorite junk...
He then gave me a card that was both soft and hard
dipped in gold. It was lanced with a sweet magical stance.
He then waited and hummed as he Jingle Belled some
"It's time for my pension" he said, then he paused.
"Guess what ol' chap, you've been Sanctity Claused !"

Premium Member A Gardeners Invited and Uninvited Guests

I’ve a garden full of uninvited guests; time to weed.

Tobacco worm, on my tomato plant, don’t spit at me;
you were not invited to partake of my produce!

Mr. Milkweed, why do you love my yard? Your sticky secretions make me itch; I do not want you in my cabbage.

Mr. Beetle, I gave no permission for your party; your rowdy friends must go. They won’t allow my beans to grow.

Ms. Wood betony, you may stay; your nutty flavor and fresh dandelion leaves, will enhance my garden salad. It was nice of you to drop by for lunch.

Ah, a lovely dog rose; how did you know that other uninvited guests,
were giving me a headache? I’ll harvest your medicinal berries to cure it.
You too, may stay; oh, how I love rose hip tea.

With uninvited guests, you can’t be too careful or too picky. Some are good, others bad; but I will not…be spat at, without retaliation!

Here, Mr. Coopers hawk, have a tobacco worm and leave those bunnies alone! I plant extra lettuce and carrots for them.

Premium Member Don't Blame Me

I am but a small rabbit in your garden,
and I admit it is true,
I am the one who ate your carrots,
but don't blame me for the berries gone
from your bushes, that was a deer.

I am a deer in your garden,
and I admit it is true,
I am the one who ate your berries from bushes,
I will take the blame for that
but I refuse to feel guilt for the carrots
that the rabbit ate.

I am your pet cat,
and I admit it is true,
I did drag the mouse inside the house,
because I wanted a toy to play with.
Don't blame however for those missing berries,
because that mouse was the only thing on my mind.

I am your pet dog,
and it is my job you see,
to protect your family.
I had to bark at the rabbit who was eating your carrots,
and I had to bark at the deer who was eating your berries,
and don't even get me started on the cat chasing the mouse,
but don't blame me at all for any thing they have done,
all I did was tell you that something wasn't right,
after all its my job to protect you.

Crusible

KERATIN is extracted from
cows hooves to make to
make foam for fire extinguishers.
............................................

They butchered the shank
to make disks
to serve with beef cheeks.
the wine sauce would be cooked
separate and and made of
wine
chicken feet
thyme
bay leaves
cayenne
carrots
garlic
onions
sun dried tomato's
 3 anchovies

we would need
 15 pounds of cheeks
20 pounds of shanks
6 pounds of chicken feet
( to make chicken stock)

the oniony, tender
meltingly beefy
goodness of meat
served with vegetables
and creamy mashed potatoes
ah- God
Mercy on these
people!

The make shift area would be chicken wire two sides
with sand and cement mixed with a cob material
and plastered
to create walls
with a tin overlapping roof.
