"Poetry including limericks can be written by AI, I've seen many examples on soup - it makes me want to cry! Let's keep poetry real by using our brains not a computer program whose words folk just steal" quote by poet

A fellow who lives down in Dingle
Bored ladies when he tried to mingle
He’d chat with such affection
On his toe nail collection
Small wonder at forty he’s single!

He ventured out on a blind date
He’s hopeful he’ll kiss his date, Kate
Kate couldn’t fail to notice
The stench of halitosis
Kate uttered, “Just sling your hook mate!”

Letting Go

Letting go

Have you ever felt yourself holding back all those feelings? Where you just want to shout them from the roof tops.
Until everyone hears.
The pain, the agony the torture of letting someone who is worth more than money, worth more than treasure and worth so much more than gold go is the hardest thing in the world!

I remember when we first met. Your eyes stared perfectly into mine, it was a wish come true. I remember all the laughter all the fighting and each little bit of happiness your love and company made. I was the happiest, I felt loved and I felt honored.

The word war. Soon took over, the word war poisoned your precious brain, the word war captured you like a spider captures a fly on a web.
War arrived.

I spent the last day with you doing the same usual tucked up in our luxury soon to be changed for a filthy battlefield filled with other poisoned brains lying dead on the ground. I treasured each second I had with you. I hoped it wouldn't be our last.

Early morning I laid out your uniform. I felt guilty.
I could not stop you from endangering your life.
I wanted to run away with you. Anywhere without war. I would've happily escaped to save your freedom. You meant so much to me, you still do now . How I'd love to see your face.

Oh how I regret holding back those feelings, the pain the agony the torture still kills me a little more inside each time the sun will rise.

From the day you said goodbye.
I could do nothing but cry.
Each day I would prey.
When you are back I want you to stay.
Goodnight my solider,
I love you more and more each day.

You say "Take a Chill Pill",
And I can't handle rejection.
WOW! I feel so much better!
Thanks for showing me affection.

Stop crying like a baby...
And I'm to stop calling you!
I'm only here for your amusement!
You made your feelings true.

I'm lonely and isolated....
Depressed and not thinking straight...
My brains all fuzzy and confused...
I can't even concentrate.

Bad thoughts running in my head...
They never leave me alone...
How I wish I could end it all...
Please God take me home!

Please awaken my soul from misery...
Please stop my constant heart ache...
I've managed to slip through the cracks...
My life is one big mistake!

I'm reminded everyday by society...
I don't fit into the status quo..
I will always be an outcast...
I will always love you... You know!

I know one day you will miss me...
But by then it will be too late.
My journey has crossed over
dimensions...
As I search for my lost soul mate!

Badly Spliced

An actor returns to his Beverly Hills mansion –
blows his brains out with a 38 special.

I must have dozed off,
cops at my door,
a line of chain-smoking flashbulbs
in baggy turn-ups.
I watch myself being taken away in a body bag.
The movie is badly spliced.
Black Packard’s keep morphing into flying saucers.
We are all wearing hats,
even the writers in the backroom
are wearing wide-brimmed hats.
The women are wearing hats.
They wear pencil thin skirts,
and talk out of the side of their mouths.

A screen flickers;
a skinny man behind an obscuring microphone
apologizes for the delay.
Meanwhile, space aliens have landed in Brooklyn,
and are exterminating people in hats.
It’s a radio show hoax,
but I don’t know that –
until I wake-up
into a world filled with terror and chaos,
there are no aliens and few brimmed hats.
I can’t sleep.

~I have to wonder what it's like.~
         ........
After all, I live in a world so twisted.
Where wrong is right, and right is so ineffably misted.

Where destruction of cities is a daily habit.
By Socialiist and Antifa, with less brains than wild rabbits.

When our great Republic may indeed fall,
Crushed by the diabolical Dominion's Wall.

And the brainwashed world,ah yes, they think it's fine.
They hate America with its freedoms and republic sunshine!

                        ~God keep us totally free~
When votes are but trash,America cannot be!

Notes float, invisible waves
Crashing over our consciousness
Mozart's melodies tip scales in our heads
Unlocking doors we didn't know existed

Thoughts stretching,
tension building
Music breaks chains of the mundane
Time shifts, stress runs
Life finds its groove

Fast, and slow, our minds race and rest
Electrons dance through neural pathways
Sharpened focus cuts through doubt
We sync with genius

This is the proof
Music's power is undeniable
Supporting growth, moment by moment
From the lowest bass to the highest pitch
Mozart's touch unites us

Count it out
Find your inner beat
Brains pulsing with newfound rhythm
Solving life's puzzles, one note at a time

In this cognitive concert,
Mozart's legacy echoes
On and on and on…

Feel it?
That's your mind Expanding!

We Don'T Want To Hear It

There are some people that will try to pick your brain
Just to make themselves look better and then call you a name
Yes we know you have so much sense
So you flood our brains with your arrogance
Sounding like a narcissistic antagonist
Leaving us all with a low tolerance
For all of your arrogant ignorance
We thought you were optimistic
But you are more like pessimistic
Open up your mouth sounding like a lunatic
Your crab mentality
Causes death & fatalities
So far away from reality
Nothing you do or say shows originality
What kind of style is that?
Your high demands
Require a show of hands
We don't need an audience
To define my ambiance
You have been identified by lies
Your hideous cries
All because you want people
To realize and recognize
your Bull
We are not interested
So please don't share it
If you have created it
We don't want to hear it

I saw you crying, next to the bubbling brook..
Taken again, eh? You really are a shnook!

Trusting new friends, my, you are dumb!
You have less brains than a fat, ripe plum

People are on the take, when will you get it?
No wonder, lost soul, you are in the pits.

Poetry is absolutely no place for you.
False words are daily fare, here, too.

Welcome to a world of trophies and disguises.
You are dense, seeking friendship in prizes?

When will you stop believing?
This is but a game of words, deceiving.

I know you will write your truth again.
Just like a no-brains, rattled old hen.

Alas, my sweet child you shan't!
Get used to an insane, world of can't!
Our brilliant brains are fully scrubbed,
As sniling and kids in a foaming bath.
Rub-y-dee, rub-y dee-dub.

We've been brain-spanked to
not ask any questions.
We don't dare question numbers!
Oh, no …..shush no!
Just be sure to have a brain
that totally slumbers?

The longer that we shiver and with
Our house shades …drawn. We hide.
The bigger the number of humaniity
Will most assuredly, under duress die!

And the world left to benevolent, quite
evil, power and money mad dictators!
Whilst you are so grateful, being lonely,
Eating humble pie and COVID 'taters!

Each day, the Big Brother on TV you watch !
Hoping like prisoners to be out of your home let out?
No, you won't be, unless you are in a state
run by sanity.
Very few, supporting our fellow humans of those who
Believe anymore in freedom for humanity.

The flu has been with us all for over one
hundred years.
We all survived, drank beer and shouted " Cheers! "
We now have become as trembling, little mice.
Robotically, following orders and never think..thrice.

*written in 2020 during Covid
Dedicated to my Cousin Maggie who died after the vaccine,
and battling a disease, she wrote here for a while.
A bubbling personality. I know we lost poets here, family
and friends . Condolences to all.

It was called , Covid…so much ..of our liffe here went off
the rails.
Viruses are named after country of origin, but it wont print?
Sorry…truth is now beyond the pail ….poet’s comments…..
I can write some nasty poems, but I think more of poetry.
I did not know the politicslly correct wotld sunk to such levity.

Sorrowfully, tjje Worlld of Cannot is fae worse todat. But that
for another time and another poem. Sadly… Pangie
