Premium Member Struggles struggled

For there are stories and there are tales.
Of broken promises, of broken sails.
Of hardships suffered and mountains climbed.
Of struggles struggled for ways to find.

Character rises in grief, pain and toil.
It finds ways to face the darkest holes and believes in light. It fights with everything it’s got when life calls the fight.

We see these people aged and worn. We must look much closely to see lived life in their eyes. We must listen more intently to tales of their joys and cries. We must give respect to the tune of their song.

For they have lived longer and we want to live long.

Premium Member Night's Abandon

Heavy lidded
Quiet and still, blurring
Visions with inklings
Of slumber, laboring
To breathe dreams
Through the embrace
Of comforting sheets
In colors of soft light
Lavender and pink
Blushing like roses, gentle
Graceful as the morning
Whispering fanciful
Fantasies, wishes, reveries
Blended on the moments
Dozing like the memories
White lace nightgowns
Intimate as poetry
Brought to life on hearts
Who listen to the glow
Of swift, still light
Reviving the feelings
Laughing silently
Through promises
Of dense truths, honesty
Growing wise inside
The heart who believes
This sweet serenity
Only comes with the closing
Of the eyes, the night
When everything rests
Soundless as the snowflake
Caressing the naked branches
Light as the wind
Sleep frees the spirit
To know the night’s abandon

Premium Member Jesus Himself - 2

The sweetness of a babbling brook
Whispering softly, gentle
Over smooth stones, nuggets
Rounded and curved
By so many years of running water
Tenderly caressing each rock
With a quiet dowsing of liquid
Thanks for the home
Nestled in the bend of woods
A forest of contentment
Peaceful and blessed
Like a prayer being spoken
In chattering acceptance
Of God’s beautiful creation

The woodsy moment, in shadows
Breathless with affection
Graceful like the swirling waters
Warm like the morning,
Lemony sunlight piercing the skies
With heartfelt murmurs
Silent light shining with life
Expressions of hope, reflecting
The moments of wonder
Appealing to the heart and soul
In waves of kindness, roaring
Into the mind, soothing praise
In a voice of birdsong and winds
Erasing all the darkness
Pouring out faith into the core
Of the spirit’s yearning
For more of God’s restful vision
Alive in the one who knows Him
The way, the truth, the life
The answer to all pain and strife
The One who colors life
In hope and faith, love that is…

Jesus Himself

Arise from the mountains
Speak out from the shores
God, in all His mystery,
Arouses each heart to know
His captivating blessing
Mesmerizing the spirit
Sending out echoes of serenity
Into the heart who believes
He is the light of hope…
Arising like dawn, graceful
A peace that surpasses all
Understanding… it trembles
With its ability to give me….

Jesus Himself

The reason I feel so very blessed
The reason I love from my depths
The reason I know He is with me
Living inside, guiding my spirit!

Broken society

Broken Society

I identify as a spiritual entity an unknown identity blending into the background of a backwards society.

I am a universal being lurking in the shadows I am often heard yet never seen.

You will never see inside of me

The noose is tightening around my neck I am struggling to breathe.

When was this world taken over by a bunch of

corrupt, cowards, criminals, traitors, liars and thieves

We all live inside a fabricated existence weaved inside a web full of lies

How can 1 truely live.

If 1 believes he can never die

The stars across my sky’s have being etched into my eyes

I have lived 1000 lives

I have died 1000 times.

 I am a universal soldier

I am the enforcer.

Society is nothing more than a heard of sheep being led to slaughter.

The monsters of the deep hidden in the depths of the holly waters.

I have an no tolerance for

Ignorance, Arrogance negligence, violence or incompetence.

Vampires drinking the blood of the innocent out of the holly grail

We are a freight about to derail

We are all products of a system that was built to fail.

Premium Member Grateful

You are like the kiss of wind,
Lightly caressing – gentle, expressive,
Kissing away my fears, each tear…
With a gentling that breathes love into
Everything…

You are like the translucent smile,
Radiating tenderness, intimate and alive,
Whispering over my heart,
With a sensitive I might never have known…
Without you.

You are like the stardust wishes,
Silencing my doubts, reassuring the hopes,
Restoring my faith in mankind,
With a peace, a promise, a prayer…
Because you’re here.

You are like the breathless calm,
Still and quiet before the storm’s darkness,
Forcing awake the peaceful soul,
Capturing beautiful in the knowing…
Your heart is glowing.

You are like the stirring of joy,
Friendly smile, heartening and alive,
Uplifting my spirit so that I see…
Just what it means to love beyond my dreams,
You are so amazing.

You are like the heart and soul,
Who knows about my worst failures,
And still… believes in my best,
Accepts and blesses my attempts to grow,
With you, I find hope.

You are like the moment when I know…
Elation beyond my imaginings,
Confidence in the forever gifts, the blessings
Reminding me that I’ll always be…
Grateful that you’re with me!

Premium Member There is a New Pope in Town

He may not be new to Peruvians or New York, but he is like a brand-new shiny penny to us. His casual manner serves as a guide to the pathways Jesus took. He is a simple and uncomplicated man of God. I like him, I can't wait to see his program rolled out before us. He greeted people on his Popemobile with dignity and pride. I can't wait for his presence in the City of New York. What will he say? How will we accept him? With Grace and Humility. I hope. Pope Leo XIV, I welcome "Your Grace." It is time for the Catholic Church to be brought together as one. I believe you can do this. With help from the congruent. I am a simple catholic person who believes, you can bring us together. Don't allow the Power Structure to ruin your vision. Be Strong and stand with the people. We love you.

Premium Member I Am

Kissing away the yesterdays
With joy that sincerely believes
Tomorrow will grow a better dream,
Something surer and greater,
Something my heart’s creativity…
Sings, silent and sweet, gentling away
The past with all its doubts, its dark
Feelings caught up in the thought
That forever isn’t something to be sought
Instead, forever is just something caught
By minds who can’t see through the
Dreams into the reality that reveals the
Answers – forever is just a passing fantasy

But I believe…
	Forever is something I see
Beyond the moments that assure me
Time is an ever fading sensitivity,
A kiss from the past, embracing the
Everlasting feelings, blessed – revealing
Forever, a lasting grace, forever in the heart
Forever in the future, with the One I see…
As my hope and my faith, my love and my peace
My Creator, MY Savior, My most amazing Maker

I believe… forever is more than a fantasy
Forever is a best part of my reality – the reason
For my hopes and my dreams, my faith and peace
The reason for the LOVE that assures me of grace
The reason that I know… under the blood I grow
More like the One I love with every dip into the hope
That He provides when He assures that His love is forever
Together with Him, always - forever with the great I AM!

Oh, God bless the beasts,
that have no voice,
that have no choice.
We can't really see
the world they see,
or know what they truly want and feel,
until they can talk to us
in a proper conversation...

"Ben, the two of us, need look no more.
We've both found, what we were looking for!"
"I am the walrus -
"My horse named 'Ed', really talks to me -
But no one believes me!"

Speak to the animals, Bro!
Hear them please -
They wanna be - talking...
Just like me - squawking ...
Just like You and Me!

Just imagine it?
Chatting to a chimp in chimpanzee,
Yackking for a while with a Yak.
Cozen with a cheetah, dozing.
Talking with your dog in Pekingese.
Slinking up to your cat with soft whispers.
Speaking in rhinoceros, feline, equine,
swine, cackle, yelp, crab or pelican.
Stop your blabber!
Start talking with the animals ....
for real, using the AI 'Speak to Me Bro' App now!

Don't bark, meow, squawk, squeak and argue!
What they're really saying is:
"Just talk to me!"
"I wanna be like you, walk like you."
"Talk like you, too."
Any old ape, horse, chicken, worm, dog, pig or cat
can learn to be human too!
You'll see it's true!
Just Say: "Someone like you,
can learn to be,
like someone like me."
"In the jungle,
the mighty jungle,
the lion sleeps tonight".

Speak to the animals, Bro!
Hear them please -
They wanna be - talking...
Just like me - squawking ...
Just like You and Me!

Pray for those who need the prayers
The sick and lost, the one who isn't even aware
That God is alive in the heart who believes
He is the shining light falling down on their spirit

Pray for the heart who doesn't know peace
The heart who is hurting without any relief
Pray for the one who is burdened with pain
The one who won't listen to the voice of grace
Pray for the one who is dead but can't die
The one who is dark, desperate - yet, can't cry

Pray for hearts who know that God is the way
Yet they fail to honor Him - the One to whom we pray
Pray for the souls who don't know Jesus Christ
For without Him they're mere shadows of discouragement
Pray for the spirits who are filled with needless sorrow
Simply because they won't pray to the One we call Father

Pray for those who need the prayers the most
The misunderstood, the fearful and the distressed
The hearts who don't know that Jesus brings sweet peace
The ones who don't believe because they can't see
That heaven has come down to give them a second chance
The opportunity to find rest, believe, pray and prepare
For the day when He will come back to retrieve
The church for whom He died

Pray, pray, pray... for all of these broken hearts
For all the ones who need to know - that God is in control
And He will make a way where no way has been before
Pray that His amazing grace brings salvation to their soul
Lights up the darkness with the inspiration that comes alive
From knowing this wonder of wonders, this Jesus who has come
To give us life and light - fill us with love on the inside
Give us the gift of salvation - and peace that will forever abide

Pray that God will always find a way to save

Premium Member Connie's Gift

"A Poet's Gift" you wrote three years ago -
the arc of your poetic heart to tell.
You spoke of deep emotions in the soul
invoking tears to well and hearts to swell.
You had a gift. You were a gift as well.

written 23 October 2022

// Connie Marcum Wong wrote the poem below which I have often come back to as a reminder why a poet writes. When my well runs dry, I return to these words and find my embers are stoked and a flame rekindled. Connie knew how to elevate the English language as an artist elevates a blank canvas into a work of art, and I admire her greatly for her gift. She had a gift, and in her friendship and encouragement she WAS a gift as well. Thank you, Connie. //

A Poet's Gift

A poet writes to share a secret depth
Of feelings within their soulful breast.
They write to grasp onto immortality,
To be remembered beyond their death.

A poet shares emotions inked upon the
Page that cannot verbally be conveyed.
They dwell in a world of dreams, of dark
And light, of imagination, of metaphors,

Where heartbreak heaves and love believes.
Poets dwell where nature inspires, and
Longing desires may elevate or decimate.
They feel compelled to write day or night

From their innate state of expressiveness.
Music, dance, and art entwined, are all a part
Of creating that sonnet, free verse or rhyme
Which may capture hearts in belabored sigh,

Cause tears to well, the heart to swell, joy to
Bloom, cause lovers to swoon in blissful reverie.
Poetry...the greatest gift a poet yearns to share
With sensitivity, with their open heart laid bare.
