Love sometimes blooms like a flower
Perhaps a tender rose full of power
To whisper softly through the breeze
Sending effects to hearts that please

Love is like a rose that is colored pink
Fragile with petals that will soon blink
Awaken the joys that come to the heart
That is so in love it never wants to part

Love is valuable and sensitive as a rose
It believes in giving, which it always shows
Enriches the spirit with a feeling of hope
That together, in love, there is a way to cope

Love is like the rose with all its many colors
Filling up the hearts and souls of its many lovers

His Flaws

Where his loyalties lay is not with me
therefore I think he’s untrustworthy,
Strong feeling of support absent
from a bond that was well meant…

Though that’s OK ‘cause I don’t trust anyone anyway.

Compromise he was not taught
empathy is near to naught,
No middle ground, no give or take
agreeance on he does forsake…

Though that’s OK ‘cause I don’t depend on anyone anyway.

Egotistic, boastful, vain
selfish for to only gain,
Don’t understand what's in his brain
though comprehend he won’t explain…

Though that’s OK ‘cause I love myself anyway.

To shed some light upon his flaws
know the kind and the cause…
To learn from him and awaken
much of him I have mistaken...

Though that's OK 'cause I'm only human anyway.

An abandoned cottage holds
                           remnants of secrets unexplored.
the past ~ whispers ~ through
                                   a creaky wooden floor.

                                Vestiges in gossamer, drape
                                 window frames and doors
                              through tainted panes of glass
                                 the scent of meadow soars.

                                   Woody stems and vines
                                   cling to crumbling walls
                                    shadows peeling back
                                      memories I recall:

                                     the oracle Sycamore
a hostel to a swinging rope,
                                      like a pendulum
                                timed in perpetual stroke.

                                    Gazing on orchards
                                       of fruited trees
                                     romanced by busy
                                        droning bees

                                     nomadic tribes
                                 of wide - eyed deer
                                   forage and drink
                                  the creek so clear

                            cascading toward the river
                             that lies beyond the bend,
                          a cloistered Heron in Cattails,
                          a protracted pose transcends;

                                leaning in a mantra
                                 of spiritual grace,
                              resonates the thrum
                            in a humble sacred place.

                             echoes of song birds
                            harmonize in the morn
                             endowed in devotion,
                               awaken the dawn.

                                Mother Nature’s
                                rhythmic beat
                               a faithful promise;
                                 she will repeat.

My Loudest Feelings

A most terrible thing that brings me to tears, attacking my innermost soul
Is the only time I ever feel that I could lose control
It is when a human being injures or harms an innocent animal
Who are these wicked evildoers, for what they have done is unbearable
For animals show unconditional love to anyone they maybe with
Such beautiful souls are sent from above, true love they will always give
It rips me apart, almost breaking my heart, when I read of such evil atrocities
I am so full of anger, feel physical pain, so helpless I feel I am going insane
These creatures should not be called human, for they are the Devil incarnate
I would lock them away for eternity, they do not deserve life, so incarcerate

But deep down inside I’m a pacifist, finding anger and rage so draining
As I visualize cruelty these morons have done, tears fall from my eyes as if raining
In an ideal world these evil scum must be punished and their freedom taken
As they rot in jail, will goodness prevail, as their conscience begins to awaken
Can they express shame, regret or remorse, for the terrible acts they committed
Could they be forgiven for the cruelty and pain on those innocent souls they inflicted
But even then, they must never again have access to all nature’s creatures
Must live their lives being supervised, in a place where only kindness features

(Dedication: For Kayode)

To create anew
Stop thinking
Just feel the flow

Answers come
If you but seek
A certain awareness

The answer awaits you
Seek to know stillness
Find the right question

Words sound noisy
To transcend turmoil
Silence overcomes

Go beyond language
Do not be waylaid
Thought distracts flow

Let go of thought
Enter no-mind
Here peace is found

Epitaph:
Unshackle vain patterns
True form is formless

Words can deceive
Half-truths corrupt
Only deep silence creates

Silence is the door
Stillness the pathway
Awaken to awareness

Seek silence
Enter stillness
Discover true peace

Love abides
Stillness echoes
Eternity fills

A Strange Dream

A strange dream....

I look out of my window at marshmallow clouds.
Drifting across the sun, blotting out daylight stars.
The moon shines bright in the dull sunlight.
As a piano black sea. Drenches the ground.
One cloud resembles a Unicorn. My favourite pony.
I race outside. Alone and lonely.
I lie on the ground and the rain meets my skin.
And I laugh as it tickles me as the thunder begins.
The tinkling of the ivories the sound of cymbals.
As the lightning roars and the ground it trembles.
Suddenly I awaken from my deep sleep.
and look at my glass unicorn watching over me!
It was all just a dream! I fall back to sleep.
Back into a world which makes me weep.
Watching butterflies being chased by cats.
Flying out over a gold pond and high into a red sky.
Dreams are strange as you see never things.
Dogs and frogs flying with wings.
Or fish with rods pulling out men.
Then taking out the hook and banging their heads.
Why is the inspector checking their licences a hen?
And still I toss and turn in my bed.
And the hen laughs at me and pelts me with an egg.
I run away into a blue meadow. With yellow lizards.
And see a beautiful girl who changes into Eddie Izzard.
I wake with a start and a fast beating heart.
And realise life is hard. And has no reward.
So enjoy your strange dreams. And don’t have nightmares.
Unless it is a horse with a horn. A beautiful white unicorn..

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Appearing Unto Me

January 26 Scripture Meditations Based on Leviticus 16-20

Key Verse – Leviticus 16:2 And the LORD said ... for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR APPEARING UNTO ME

Thank You for appearing unto me through Your mercy
Surely welcoming me to come unto Your throne without complacency
In order to commune with me in fellowship’s fervency
For my faith to grow in Your gracious persistency.

Thank You for appearing unto me through Your holiness
Surely hallowing me with Your righteousness
In order to forgive me of my confessed wickedness
For my testimony to shine in Your light’s brightness.

Thank You for appearing unto me through Your commandment
Surely purging me from disobedience-defilement
In order to lead with me to submission’s fulfillment
For my offerings to be acceptable upon Your sacrifice-settlement.

Thank You for appearing unto me through Your Word
Surely teaching me principles of divine record
In order to exhort me by Your statutes and precepts’ accord
For my conviction to rest upon Your truth-ford.

Thank You for appearing unto me through Your sanctuary
Surely facing me in worship-glory
In order to revive me toward victory
For my praises to express gratitude to You, devoid of worry.

Thank You for appearing unto me through Your name
Surely reminding me of Your awesome fame
In order to awaken me from sinfulness-shame
For my character to be conformed to Your image of no blame.

Premium Member The Processor

As I listened to Eric, Shane, and Jacob,
I also heard another still and loving voice.
As I sat and listened ever so INTENSELY,
I sensed the voice of God IMMENSELY.

Two words to me were clearly SPOKEN,
And my spirit was more widely AWAKEN.
If such treasures should be forgotten and LOST,
Incalculable and immeasurable would be the COST.

That is why I now record those two WORDS.
For surely their loss I cannot AFFORD.
The first word I heard was, 'SEASONAL'.
What's done in the processor is never
to be continual, but like the four seasons,
they do their job well and leave till next time.

The second was the short 4-letter word, 'LONG'.
Sometimes, Our stay in the processor is long.
In the natural world, each of the four seasons
has a fixed duration of three months, but there
is no comparison in their force and intensity.

Some are inviting, nice, and mild, bringing a gentle
BREEZE, while another may bring a deadly FREEZE.
Sometimes the seasons are long, not in terms of time,
but in sorrow or misery; in PAIN, taking away all our GAIN.
The comfort is in knowing that, like seasons, the processor
never came to stay, but God designed us and the processor
to be obedient and faithful to do His work His way.

The Box

Inside the box..
I don't hear you..
I choose not to hear you
A great big heavy blanket
It covers entirely everything..
You allow your truth
I cover my entire being..
Underneath the heavy blanket
Your truth is meaningless to me
Your truth is unacceptable..
Your truth is literally unbelievable to me.
Your truth cannot be explained
Contains mystery and curiosity
Curiosity kills the cat..
Does not kill the cat..

I shall cover myself underneath the cozy blanket..
Go into a sleepy slumber..
Please do not awaken me..

Outside the box..
I hear you..
I choose to hear you
I need not smother myself
I allow your truth
My entire being is exposed and revealed
I need not cover the truth
Your truth is meaningful..
As I have accepted your truth..
I understand and believe in you..
You need not explain your truth to me
I have faith in you
The unknown will cause curiosity
I have embraced your truth
Allow new growth..
To create..
I shall be awake..
In my awakened state
I shall deliver..
Deliverance to all the masses..
Remembrance of a divine being you truly are..

                                                      Today

         Today
I noticed a small leaf float from the lush canopy and land on grass
         then vanish to infinity

I sensed a primal need to amend outcome of events carried within
         ominous clouds of ambiguity

I painted a virtual picture of tomorrow exorcizing enmity for amity
         nestled amid spheres of possibility

I pondered a rational cause and effect of iniquitous acts as pivotal
         moments silently succumb to anonymity

I aimed a magic dart at a wounded heart liberating its final breath
         annihilating sufferings incurred from inhumanity

I tamed a wild squall then ask sky goddesses to remedy a tragedy
where naivete had awaken to a confounding dichotomy

I egged a crystal ball to right flawed perceptions of an alien entity
responding to hard unrelenting questions demanding clarity

I chased a black hole moving at the speed of light like gamma ray
driven by the force of weightlessness and in my being a nonentity

I dreamed a dream that annul obduracy making my visions reality
unveiling unknown horizons giving humanity a passage to eternity

I deemed a sleep did not befall; I was just imagining what may be
while sunbeams vanished during the most vital instants of the day
then planets skillfully danced with the night as stars wander freely.

         Today...
