Premium Member The Glory of Spring

Spectacular season of new beginnings!
Perennials awaken in new shoots through the ground.
Robins return in robust flocks singing their happy chorus.
Insects hatch to feed birds and pollinate flowers.
Nature rejoices by displaying all its vibrant colors -
Goldfinches return to their bright yellow plumage

Gardens are reborn displaying new plants and blooms.
Lilac’s purple blooms waft in the warm air.
Outside is where everyone wants to spend their time -
Raking, mowing, and gardening season has begun.
You may find yourself smiling at the beauty and joys of spring!

Premium Member Green

"But green's the color of spring
And green can be cool and friendly like
And green can be big like a mountain
Or important like a river or tall like a tree"
Verse from Bein' Green by Andrew Bird, sung by Kermit the frog

Grasshopper, caterpillar, praying mantis, gecko, and iguana
Really healthful veggies and fruits like grape, apple, pear and lime.
Eyes like mine, fields, tennis courts, and plants like marijuana!
Emeralds and jade, Kermit, Hulk, and Shrek, and yukky slime.
Nature wears it best with trees and leaves, and ivy that can climb.

Premium Member Fall Deep Into Autumn

Flamboyant, fabulous fall waits in the wings
As sultry summer gradually winds down,
Losing strength to chilly changes September brings,
Leaving lovers of long hot days wearing a frown.
Delights await those who favor fall.
Exciting festivals and special days
Enliven our spirits. Outdoor scenes enthrall,
Pleasing the eye with vast, colorful arrays,
Inspiring, serving as poet’s and painter’s muse.
Nature lends progressively less daylight.
Trick-or-treaters have cute costumes to choose,
Ornate orange bags or buckets—adorable sight--
And sweets to eat on Halloween night.
Umber earth is rendered white by frost, then snow.
Thanksgiving feasts and football are November fare.
Ultimate fall plans center around coming yuletide glow.
Merry Christmas! Gather; gifts and blessings, share.
Now winter waits with a new year in tow.

Premium Member Serenity Awakened

Summer’s sizzle
Eventually begins to expire.
Revelries of the raspberry-seasoned days I’ve respired soon will be
Eclipsed by
Nuances of a new serenity.
Impinging on August’s lethargy-inducing ways and
Tip-toeing in, wearing her
Youthful still-green garb . . .

Autumn elegantly enters!
Wandering wistfully from September into October, she
Awakens nostalgia in me!
Kaleidoscope colors
Embroidery trees brightly as
Nature surrenders so beautifully to
Ebbing embers of sunbeams which paint ever-hastening twilight splendors -
Disappearing at last into the calm gray of the first snow-FALL.

Spring Is Coming Soon

S-uns kisses and soft rain
P-rovoke the earth awake again.
R-ainbows arch across the sky,
I-delible colours to our eye.
N-ature sings to us her song
G-lorious melodies all day long.

I-cing blossoms decorate trees,
S-oftly blowing in the breeze.

C-rocuses brighten up the ground,
O-rnate daffodils have been crowned.
M-arch hares jump and leap,
I-nnocent chicks from hens wings peep.
N-estling birds too young to fly,
G-limpses of the butterfly.

S-pring is busy realising Winters dreams,
O-rchestras' play in babbling streams.
O-utstanding Spring in all her choices,
N-ow thankfully the earth rejoices.

New Beginnings

Nature is an Autumnal thief; pilferer of clinging leaves
Each one rudely swept away, but a tree never grieves
Well knowing in Spring, buds will reappear as sheaves

Behold the dawn of sunrise as we begin another day
Enfolding us in the sun's warmth with every golden ray
Gray skies will often darken the horizons in our lives
Intrusive, yes, but with positive thoughts, one survives
Never give up, just start over, despite improbable odds
Nascence and a willing desire is the impetus that plods
Inside our hearts, leading us to pursue another direction
New pathways to follow, after soul-searching reflection
Garnering wisdom to regard the past as a mere bygone
Spurring us to a better life when it's time to move on

Premium Member Nature Delights

Nature nourished by Sovereign’s nurture
Abounds with mother earth’s treasure
Triumphantly fulfilling existence-feature
Upheld against degradation’s pressure
Replenishing through re-birth each creature
Exemplifying life wonders’ pleasure.

Delightful magnetic fascination
Ecstatic kin to emancipation
Linkage against worthlessness’ dysfunction
Instilling worshipful liberation
Gripping emotions for admiration
Heightening spiritual exaltation
That thanks Creator’s beautification
Surely, nature provokes praise-devotion!*

*Psalm 89:5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

Spring Is Coming Soon

Smelling so fresh, sounding her melody,
Parading herself, floral gallery,
Releasing the strength stored in seeds,
I’m always amazed; Spring’s toil seems carefree.
Nature does her work, so effortlessly;
God's regnant hand knows what Spring needs.

It’s still cold to me, I’m wearing a coat
Spring’s birds and buds have just reason to gloat.

Chilled to the bone, I don’t understand how
Orchards are blossoming brilliantly now.
Might Spring have a secret she heeds -
Instinctive skills only God can endow?
Never assuming or taking a bow,
Granted, Spring doesn’t mind a few weeds.

Stuck between winter’s cold and summer’s heat
Optimally, Spring’s labors will entreat
Our own personal efforts of rebirth,
New thoughts to transform our own wintry dearth.
