Premium Member Summer's Death

Autumn's a harbinger of Summer's death,
associated with mold and decay.
And the stench of rot lingers on my breath;
as Autumn strips Summer's sweet scent away.

Crucified scarecrows, droop, nailed to their posts,
gaunt reminders that Winter approaches.
And while Jack-o'-lanterns may ward off ghosts,
discarded pumpkins: attract cockroaches.

The Fall pageantry conceals its function:
Death hides under the Grim Reaper's cowl.
And destroying life without compunction,
Autumn's chameleon is on the prowl.

There's a malignancy that shadows Fall,
like a cancerous tumor, killing all.

Pride

Pride robs a person of possibilities,
A one-track mind consumed with character defects,
When weakness is associated with humility,
Understanding becomes obsolete, for wisdom is no longer erect,

Pride steals the hopes of a better tomorrow,
Ignorance is poison flowing through ones veins,
It will only produce discomfort and sorrow,
Restoration is impossible for the proud to sustain,

Pride tears families apart and destroys love with a significant other,
The resentment it brews in other people pushes them away,
For if a man can’t look at his own faults he cannot truly love his brother,
One minute he is on top of the world and in a second no one hears what he has to say,

Pride is control and rebellion keeps a wall up to the outside,
Its fire roars in silence which makes it hard to terminate,
Let’s look inside our souls this day, uncover all our pride,
A person who has meekness is more powerful than one with iron gates.

Premium Member Santa Smokes Pot

Retired and happy as a piggy in poop
Poetry is definitely the cause
Without all my friends I've come to know
Known as dear old Santa Claus

My favourite and busiest time of the year
Is less than a month away
Visiting you guys and your little kiddies
Spreading joy on Christmas day

Happy as a piggy in poop is not usually
Associated with Santa and stuff
But this Santa is a down to earth kinda Santa
A little warmer he'd come in the buff

Hope no kiddies are reading this poem
Might destroy their image of me
Now you know why Santa's really so happy
Smokes up and is happy as can be

Premium Member Thoughts Upon Seeing Blue Segment

I saw all my colors in spirit, before my eyes.
Wild, almost crazy lines were sketched in front of me.
~ Wassily Kandinsky

Is it a bird? I ask trying to decipher rational from naught,

And then I weep turquoise imploring a God
I cannot feel, cannot touch ~

But to see sound and hear color is a gift
Of spirit ~

Shall we soar with yellow trumpets
      And red violins, blue cellos,
Or stay earthbound
Trying to make sense of a bird
Where only essence exists?

NOTE 1: Kandinsky experienced colors as having distinct sounds; he associated yellow with a high trumpet, blue with cello or organ, and red with a violin.
NOTE 2: Native Americans, particularly in the Southwest, revered turquoise as a sacred, living stone—often called the "Sky Stone"—believed to be a gift from the spirits that bridged heaven, earth, and water.

Po Whet Tick Dampened Curse A

Sweaty Palms – Chronic Woe Renders...
Po' Whet Tick Dampened Curse = A
Worse Fate Than Death!

...of Google I now know sweaty
palms sports dignified name
known as palmar hyperhidrosis.
Here all along (meaning major
of my roam'n LIX chronological

hash tagged linkedin orbitz), this
plague constitutes bona fide
medical condition. Cold drippy
comfort! Also (minimally) re:
assuring to realize, this generic

guy need not count himself alone
in sopping wet wilderness re:
this plague. Such problematic
health condition impacts, comprises,
and affects one to two percent of

the world’s population. One
Doctor Riesfeld purportedly makes
hand over fist handsome income.
Will power alone seems a dauntlessly
futile endeavor to rid oneself of

disruptive condition. Try as I might
to put lockdown on propensity
for sweat glands (synonymous
with the term eccrine) packed

within sub surfaces of hands, fore
head and feet. As linkedin to
sympathetic nervous system,
the body electric under stress
activates glands. Profuse moisture

dripping like a faulty faucet
severely affected everyday
activities of existence since a
young adult. Frustration to
complete a simple task such

as opening a doorknob, using
the laptop, and even writing
concomitantly associated with
droplets of water soiling green
sleeves to appear near saturated.

Without fail interpersonal ambitions
hi-jacked when wet as dishrag hands
found me disinclined to experience
social rejection. Though sprung
from overactive predisposition to

anxiety, these secretory organs
get exacerbated with dubiously
honorable privilege of being gifted
with panic attacks, offers little
comfort to sill lake consolation.

One Word Can Be a Dictionary of Meaning

Let’s agree that our words mean something;
words like Ma and Pa, all those proto-vowels,
but also ‘prestigious’ and ‘disambiguation’
they also are layered with insights
for the perceptive.

Words can be as layered as Damascus steel,
more so,
they many even have roots
as deep as earth-time itself.

All interesting words have a winding history,
their meanings are associated,
linked with many more meanings.
Such words are symbols for myriad realities.

This kind of inquiry is never ending.
interpretation cannot be superficial,
poetry demands a deeper seeing.

Some words have no inner-life of their own,
such words have a paucity, a dearth,
they are derivatives of a shallow concept
given unsustainable implications.
From the very start they were everlastingly
empty.

The astute choose words
that mean more than can be said.

Premium Member Deluvina Maxwell and the Kid

She was ten years his senior
and Billy probably saw her
as a strong mother figure to him.
There have also been rumors
that the Kid and Deluvina
engaged in some steamy romancing,
but we will never know,
we can only be sure of this one very real thing.
After the Kid had been shot and killed,
Deluvina never stopped grieving.
She would visit the Kid's grave
well into her senior years,
her hands clutching her heart,
weeping endless tears,
and so given all of the above,
this is what I do hereby contend.
Deluvina and the Kid were not only very close friends,
Deluvina in my opinion is the strongest evidence,
that the Kid was good and not prone to violence.
She would have never associated herself with bad people of any kind.
Deluvina was drawn to they who were good, loving and kind.

Featured in several languages
in unstressed syllables
it's origin is from the
Hebrew word shva
which represent a Simu lair sound
reducing vowel to a neutral quality
Varying degrees of vowel sounds
neither evil or good
the Schwa sound is never
associated with negative
connotation
Schwa is neutral and unstressed
the idea of Schwa being Evil is figurative
and not based on any Linguistic reality
It is not stressed and
Short Vowel sounds
It quicker and it uses less efford to
pronounce
in comparison
it's clearly heard in
English and Spanish Words
It is prevailant in
English German, Arabic Catalan
Vowel and Schwa do not always mean the same thing
It is right in it's time
and odd when
out of place
uh or ih
is what the Schwa sound sounds like!
in music it can be used after
a grace note
where the syllable after the schwa is stressed
it's the on the beat or stresed sound
the weak uh sound
ah , uh and um are common
fillers in laugages a strong filler is assocated with
Mid range Vowells
completelly different from the neutral Schwa!

I've pondered this since I was a child
What makes the grass so green
I know there's a logical explanation
Sure seems like some magical scheme

To explain why oceans are a deep indigo
Or the cerulean blue sky up above
The rising sun is a bright yellow ball
Why red is the colour of love

Pink is associated with a baby's skin
As we cuddle and snuggle and coo
Mauve is usually the colour of sadness
When life throws a curve at you

The colour of nature is a wonder to behold
Artists try to capture its magic
What if the world was just shades of grey
Sure would be sad and quite tragic

So pray when you wake up each morning
Nature's colours will still be the same
It's what makes this world a joy to behold
And its beauty continues to reign
