Premium Member Jerusalem, the Jugular - Part One

You can't imagine what its like to march on a sacred city,
to plunder and pulverize a Peoples' promise to Deity,
demolishing centuries of lavish labor, wasting offspring of ancient heredity,
destroying flesh, scriptures and stone with a savage Roman military synergy,
a discipline determined in it's destruction of dissention, inspired by ancestral victory,
politics was not our purview, methodical punishment was our specialty,

We were War's royalty, we were Legio XV Apollonaris,
monsters of Mars, messengers of Apollo, the juggernaut of Jupiter,
along with 11 other Legions led by General Titus, 60, 000 cuts of glory we stood,
for 3 and a half years we fought through Jewish guerilla ambush
asymetrical urban warfare welting our progress like a pirate pestilence
district after district, hell spell after hell spell we bled with chilled maneuver,
the Zealots were pyromaniacs, burnt sacraficers, their zeal and our bodies zesty wood,
in the Kidron Valley they flooded the streets " knee high " with oiled water
as the Cohorts waded through the lanes leery, a torch was tossed, flames rose in rush
240 men perished like spazing stars trapped in a box, our grief agape with a horrified crush,
as reprimand, Titus made the Legate sit in a tent with his chopped off ring finger
smoldering like hot sand in the hand of a marooned man aware of error in his plan,
the insurgents had men we called Fox Tails, desperate demons who knew how Hell began,
as a skirmish succumbed to our skill and number they would run into apartments,
dragging the fury of our blades into rooms of Hades revenge, these were fire entrapments,
the buildings would blaze like windowed volcanos, screams salting us with panic linger,

It was not uncommon to discover a missing Brother Legionary
castrated, and decapitated with a headedless eagle carved upon his chest,
don't speak to me about morals and mercy for I have seen and dealt the damage of rude death
hate becomes your Father, vengence your Mother, aggravated murder your cause
when everything you revere and fear merge to make a leviathen of life,
the " Chosen People " of God became the chosen target of annihilation,
Mount Moriah, mansion of Yahweh the Pariah would become capital of Divine crucifixion,

War (Acts of Tyranny)

The first day of war is the last day of peace
The leaders serve not like ladders anymore
They turn to feathers
And fly away
Because they are the land lords of the nation
The tenants now bear the penance

War is just three alphabets
But can make a tall tree historic round the world
Where there’s war
There’s information
And there’s deformation
Those who are not informed about set bombs,
They get deformed
Some may not be able to perform anymore
Some may die
Some may lie critically ill
But still
The tyrants won’t stop the war
They are the one
They can change the signal
To stop the scandal
I can see
The fighters are tired
They want to retire
But who will stop the war
Hey you tyrant
It’s time for retirement
Weapon is the subject
On a sunny day
You fight
On a beautiful ‘MTN’-yellow Day
You fight
On a dark night
You don’t need light
You stay tight
Ready to fight,
You hide in agility
When you think the war is over
It just begun
See amoured car in the boulevard

War
Noise everywhere
Who is safe?
I guess none
What is war?
War is when one is killed
Two are killed
Mother and father die
The murders fly away like they have feathers
Shading of blood everywhere
Oh! My God
A king handles a gun
No matter how thin a slave looks, he handles a gun
They need people to fight
Who are they?
‘The tyrants’
Just say yes,
And you are sent to the war front
He who is in the war front
Knows he’s dying at anytime
But a strong soldier stays
A strong soldier is looking forward to vanquishing his enemies
And a strong soldier is looking forward to saving his people from shame of defeat
Oh! What a brave soldier
When there’s nothing close to you,
Your gun is right beside
Always ready to pull the trigger
Chei! What war can cause
War keeps one restless
What a great stress that can cause a distress
Oh my mistress
Don’t vex when you miss me
Am in the war front
But I assure you one thing
I am coming back because I am a great soldier
Feel sober always expect me knocking
War could be fun
But when you’re not prepared
You can’t prevail
Go and prepare
For you to prevail
The fun of war lies on the winning days
A good or smart soldier fight his way out without injury,
And a great soldier is rushed to therapy
Where is the wound that war gave you?
Ambush is the ambition of the gorillas

Premium Member Alas I Knew Him Well

He walked with a swagger,
was a delinquent lagger
       and recidivist wagger
all his schoolboy days.
  Joyridin on the Pare’ bus
he’d skylark and cuss
            just like one of us
as was his way always.

He was undeniably cool
but did shirk at school
          and play the fool
from bell to ringin bell.
Widely well liked as a peer
and but for the odd jeer
         had nothin to fear
but many a tale to tell.

He oft sat ready in class
but mostly half ar-se
 and exams seldom pass
much to his own bane.
Almost always in a scrape
lookin to mock or ape
     or some dare or jape
and felt a swingin cane.

He climbed out on a limb
and broke into the gym
      then let his friends in
loadin up the bar.
Squattin and pressin away
liftin in the weight bay
      ‘til fun and horseplay
went a step too far.

He did the flyin fox cling
and leg and arm fling
         on the rope swing
with collidin force.
For dear life hands hangin,
blokes fallin and clangin
     into each one bangin
on the Confidence Course.

He was a hurler of eggs
and ‘til someone begs
     did charlie their legs
but it was all in fun.
A water bomb he’d let fly
when he’d from up high
       ambush a passer-by
abscondin on the run.

He his loyal friends also
under the gym below
         did hide and stow
lest they all be found.
Then one guy in the loop
would dive thru a hoop
        and the rest swoop
should it fall down.

He at lunch hour stood
all innocent and good
   but not as he should
policin the tuck shop.
As monitor it was his job
to calm the unruly mob
      but never tell or dob
suckin on his lollipop.

He was a classroom pest
out of uniform dressed
    on his own little quest
and always in strife.
But in his heart he knew
what he needed to do
    and this he would rue
the rest of his life.

He was a master pranker,
some say a wanker
           but he did hanker
for somethin more.
Girls thought him sweet
and did fall at his feet
       goin crazy for Skeet
but his spell had no cure.

Odyssey of Hope

Homer in his prime knew what was divine he sets out to woo the earth but his ambition was crumbed in the dirt, the Trojan War is an epic of past, love, power, hate, marriage, and crime; the Greeks and the city of Troy and the ten years war that took many lives and causes numerous painful sacrifices.

The marriage of Peleus’ and Thetis’ brought the whole nation together Zeus in his fantasy was merry and happy but the goddess of strife was denied entry to the marriage feast and so she made a dangerous decree, she throw her gift among the guests; and everyone scramble to find the second best, Aphrodite, Athena, and Hera began to fight for it but the spoon quickly ran away with the dish.

Zeus in all his pride could not decide who to get the goddess of strife gift and Paris, the prince of Troy, was asked to make the decision but Paris was not the smartest fellow and he left everything in a big hollow and so Hera the queen bribed him for a thin limb.

Hera promised him political power and a sordid throne for tomorrow; but Athena in a subtle tone promise, wisdom in mind and battle in pride but that could persuade Paris. Aphrodite knew his heart from the start and promised him the beautiful Helen of Sparta. But he quickly chose Aphrodite and wrap up the selection plight, woman was his weakness and he went all the way for her.

Charming Helen was married to Menelaus, the mean king of Sparta so, Paris journeyed to Sparta and kidnapped Helen from her home and brought her back to Troy with him and Helen could not resist his touch and she fell in love with Paris when she felt his heart and from there on the Trojan War began. It started with a gift and ended with a gift.

The Greeks surround the city of troy and hid in the Trojan horse. A few of them went back to sea and pretend as if they were gone but Paris and his men hang out on the lawn, and what they thought was a precious gift was an ambush set outside lawn. No sword was drawn, no blood was spilt but the Greeks defeated troy with a massive fire ball when they took the Trojan horse inside, “burn! Troy burn” the Greeks shouted.

And so Homer, the greatest storyteller of all gave an account of how the mighty Trojan fall on his way back from the Trojan War in the epic Iliad. You are a long way from home.

My Wandering

I wandered the vastness of the universe
Just to meet you here
I considered many life times to glimpse
Your adorable essence
I explored the magical land of Atlantis
Even the technological Lemuria
I lived a couple of thousands of years in Sumeria
And learned to spoke magical words
I lived with the hundreds of lambs in Syria
To learn how to live with them in the barren land
I was in Mongolia to learn how to cook food
And created my own menu
I was with the Emperor and Empress of Japan
To be one of their counsels
I was once a daughter of a peasant in Italy
Learned to live with a single meal a day
I learned to fly an airplane in France
And leave my profession for marriage
I craved to wrote songs in Canada
But still longed for someone I knew
I was with you in the battle ground of ancient Egypt
I learned how to kill and to be killed then
I tried to discover more about myself
Lived inside a cave of mountainous Indonesia
I entered the great temple of India
To learn how to be the master of my surroundings
But died when a mysterious epidemic spread
I created more thoughts and realized inside a cell in Chile
And killed myself for an escape to my wrong ordeals
I existed again to work on my rippled karma
I visited the temples of Tibet to find peace
I discovered how to heal myself
And every person I tormented
I roamed around the great City of Brazil
But to no avail I never saw someone like you
I remembered why I am here then
I still chased you in further ground of Incas
But nothing happened
You still left me for another person
I continued to soar within this land
And was killed while counting miles across the sea of England
I explored the lessons of to be abandoned
As I always waited for this love
I was catapulted again in the battle fields of the Philippines
Where I was killed in an ambush with my three comrades
Yet my desire never materialized
I returned here being wary you was out of life again
I decided to go back to the golden planet
But escaped before the capsule like craft flown
While have had a thought in mind
That I am expected you to came
And now finally we bumped each other again
This will be the last life I shall chose to see you
Since I planned long before this moment
I will be home where I am from
And be one with my sparks.

The Seagulls

What do I have to do with thee when you keep pushing the water towards me, what do I have to do with thee when everyone keeps coming after me.

The tides are riding high and the message is radiating in the sky, get all the people out of that place and get ready for the big race.

Look at the skies above you and examine it through and through and when you see the old man in the clouds with the beard you know that sorrows are drawing near.

If you see the birds flying in different directions, you know that it’s time to step up the operation.

Pack up your belongings and join the choir and all road leads to the airport alter, don’t leave a dime behind for the vulture to commit some hideous crime. Send the heavy things in advance and carry the lighter things with you.

There is too much burden over there and the clouds are pointing you were to rebuild your life after years of painful sacrifice.

I walked along the shore examining the particles on the ground and watch the seagulls pulling worm out of the sand while the children on the other side build giant sand castle with their hands.

The snipers are all around and they bury themselves deep down in the sand with just the head visible above, they look like birds from afar and you could never tell that someone was rally there if you are not near so don’t let the seagulls ambush you , the magnetic field is rising from a hundred degree.

The boats are coming in and big missiles are dropping from the skies, the parachute and hot balloons are up there too and journey from the East lands safely on the shore.

Their mission was very clear as soon as they got over there. The snipers did not make a move, because they were wearing the pacemaker’s boots.

More than a thousand of them landed on the shore to conduct the operation from door to door.

They carry a medicine that can sniff out the enemy in a jiffy. They are fearless soldier that have no appointment with heaven, they come without a bullet or a clout and they know what fighting is all about.

The multitude is leaving the city and the trucks are moving in , the boats have flooded the shore and you have got to open the iron door. The seagulls are parading on the sea, they have an urgent message for thee so observe their movements carefully.

Garden Guests

A post from the past.....just trying to put down all the ones I have written but deleted when I left the site for a while......this is almost too long, but I couldn't find which animal or insect to eliminate.....

Gardens attract a number of guests,
Some are welcomed, some are pests-
Let’s peek inside to get a view,
Of what these guests are really up to-

Honey bees pollinate, wasps sting,
Mosquitoes suck, song birds sing-
Crickets chirp, caterpillars putter,
Grasshoppers jump, butterflies flutter-

Aphids cluster, ladybugs twirl,
Katydids hop, pill bugs curl-
Owls hoot, peacocks prance,
Fruit ripens, damselflies dance-

Leaves sprout, dragonflies catch,
Shrubs grow, chipmunks fetch-
Trees shade, breezes blow,
Blossoms bloom, fireflies glow-

Moths destroy, hummingbirds drink,
Earthworms chew, stinkbugs stink-
Ants march, slugs cleave,
Turtles saunter, spiders weave-

Fish swim, lizards climb,
Toads croak, snails slime-
Fleas vault, frogs leap,
Roaches scatter, millipedes creep-

Hawks soar, rabbits munch,
Snakes slither, beetles crunch-
Mites bite, moles scurry,
Walking sticks cling, termites hurry-

Mice dart, ferrets burrow,
Hedgehogs mosey, voles furrow-
Gophers tunnel, thrips rasp,
Foxes chase, grubs clasp-

Possums play dead, fruit bats roost,
Water bugs float, pirate bugs juice-
Woodchucks eat, rats devour,
Squirrels store, seedlings flower-

Gnats annoy, spittlebugs attack,
Ambush bugs take, cicadas extract-
Scaly bugs secrete, squash bugs infect,
Silkworms spin. lightning bugs inject-

Armadillos dig, water scorpions fight,
Woodborers drill, fruit flies alight-
Root maggots scarf, locusts smother,
Harlequin bugs feast, flower flies hover-

Deer nibble, cats meow,
Mealy bugs attach, dogs howl-
Antlions trap, leaf-footed bugs pierce,
Robber flies rob and hornets are fierce-

Nematodes battle, leafhoppers invade,
Cutworms clip, leafminers raid-
Psyllids drain, cabbage loopers inch,
Weevils infest, earwigs pinch-

Vines extend, doodlebugs grab,
Woodpeckers peck, assassin bugs stab-
Raccoons forage, geese parade,
Praying Mantises capture, falls cascade-

Skunks spray, branches sway,
Upon your plants an insect may lay-
Harvestmen walk, lacewings feed,
Some of these guests your garden needs!

Fantastic Flora Masquerade

Creeping creepy creepers, the crawling trellis
jutting out of everywhere
snaking through country and metropolis
twisting turning in floral bliss
but more like snakes that hiss
But in quietude feign death for self-defense!

Weeping willows with an unreal surreal sorrow
weeping tears of dew onto the silted furrow.
Perhaps weeping for bretheren felled
in deforestations and land clearings in
my imaginations of the call to preservation.
Against ethnic cleansing of greenery for selfish building
As per man's construction for mere recreation

Velvety-green tear- stained faces or rather foliage
When dew is stuck on them as nature's trinkets of pearls.

And over there touch-me-nots swaying coyly
like prim and proper maidens
in the fantastic floral gardens.

And what in the world is this case?
Imitation flowery in place of imitation jewellery?
Yeah, thats poinsettia in a vase
Leaves in the disguise of flowers
Its actual flowers relegated to backstage.

And ethereal fairy-slippers await their never coming wearers
and Indian pipes to be admired by Red Indian sightseers.

Oh and here's another spectacle- but sniper tactics this time
Yikes! Let the naive insect world beware!
Whilst the bloodthirsty killers lie in ambush
Those camouflaged jungle guerrillas
or should we say the venus fly-traps!

Or a more harmless one yet mimicking the scary
A snap-dragon flora, its mouth opening and snapping shut.

Then watch that mega-sized jumbo giant flora
The world's largest flower
No stems, no leaves, plant-eater plant, rafflesia.
Is it too much for the faint-hearted ha ha.

And wow now watch that incredible costume, oh my!
A flower masked as some pesky fly!
None other than the remarkable fly orchid.

And yet another, the silent music of the fiddlenecks
Fiddles as if for the light-weight fairies.

And lastly not forgetting ofcourse
the sky-blue unforgettable forget-me-nots
A memorable bouquet but themselves devoid of memory.

Ah nature lover poets if you wish to view
more of flora in a fancy dress masquerade
Go ahead and flip through the pages of
a botanical, floral
horticultural
pictorial journal.
And see for yourself the fantastic flora's charade
or else imagine them dressed as a floral renegade!

September is aging with a cool beauty
and the Missouri seems to be hurrying the expedition
into a world of natural splendor that is impatient to strip our spirit to it's bare light,
in my silent moments of strategy I feel the birth pangs of winter in the air
and know that an emergency of shelter will soon be the crucible,
more days than not the river wind has aided the Corps of Discovery's adventure,
rarely have we had to pull Destiny along by ropes
and today I'm off the boat, hunting a fleet and mammoth goat
the pronghorned antelope, unlike the buffalo and deer herds
that have easily been in excess of 500, these shy creatures
move about in small groups, seemingly familial in manner,
a hide of short, soft white and brown hair
which stripes the throat, and vicious charcoal horns
that could impale a man in a single jolt, none of us has ever seen such an animal,
these damn goats bolt like bullets every time I creep near
they must be catching my scent for I am stealth and camouflaged,
they are so agile and swift, unafraid to speed through the most dangerous ravines,
getting back to camp with no hooves to show for my time
I see that John Sheilds has sacked a peculiar hare,
he calls it a jackrabbit, it is a monster rabbit no doubt
20 pounds dead and can leap like a rock across water, 20 foot spreads at full speed,
we all laugh and agree this place is becoming more of a jungle than a prarie,
any moment we may encounter apes and wherewolves,
its good to see Private Shanon chuckle well since returning
from being alone along the river for sixteen days nearly starved and maddened,
the fires be hot and the kettles be kickin with the right stuff
most of us are consuming 5, 000 calories per day including several pounds of meat each,
the mission is teaching the men's' bodies new extremes, the exertion is remarkable,
sunburn, blisters, rolled ankles, sprained wrists and backs, inadequate sleep,
mosquito bites, spider bites, ant bites, hours of tedious paddling and foraging,
no woman love, gaurd duties, chores, the stress of Indian encounters and ambush,
home sickness,
the only thing familiar to us is eachother,
sharing our sufferings, sharing our survival,

Behind the Sins

no one has the saddle over the wild horse by the name fate
Jose as I had known him, had a life twisted by untamed forces
gifted and talented, we were the best of buddies, our lives flagged together
the terrain trans-formative, as we crested into our teens
Sundays were the days when our spirit were humbled
four boys at the alter, hands folded like the portrait of the Madonna
I knew him like the back of my hand, I heard he had a father
a father I had never seen since kinder
yet life moved on, we the sailors displayed our masts
hoping that the winds were channeling us, to a place our souls would please

THE TRANSITION
He woke up to a heard walk, he and his mum weren't playing a game of chase
yet life had him on checkmate
discovering the significance of the two sides of a quarter, you had to employ a plan B and yet keep your plan A on the cricket bat
he led a double life, keeping his closest friends behind the scenes
dropping out of high school was tradition in our hood, only that it marked
a reincarnation, from the faint- hearted Jose to a classical James Bond
FORECASTING
the night intruded by slight mourns from carnivores
lighting sparks and thunder shakes, a grant entry for comic villains
till gunshots, lasting long enough to wipe an army of a thousand
an ambush that "ceased"- captive, the lives of six teens short six times each
one of them a girl, recently dropped out, not even her mum knew where she cribbed
clinging to a heard earned home made short gun, which she innocently giggled like "the machineries" ,the title of a Holy Wood Action Flick
Jose briefly called to inform me of the slaughter, didn't mention he was part only that God had given him an avenue for self evaluation
IT'S DONE
I wasn't into the Chicky gossips, that flew fast than the dailies but this one caught my ears
she came, gasping for breath, thanks to her size she looked like a raged elephant
her gang of hooters awaited the bombshell, till her eyes pinned me
"your little friend is dead"...... I left
I left running to the church next to the sewer, there wasn't anyone but me
quickly pressing Jose's contacts, to the sound of server personnel
