Valentine's Wedding

A beautiful wedding was had by our youngest son Erik and his beautiful wife,Lisette.
They got married in the beautiful and tropical Costa Rica.

A beautiful beach wedding guested, all his relatives were present that could come,
The handsome groom with Elvis black hair wore a suit of white with a Hawaiin Lei.

His bride had long hair and wore an exquisite dress of white and looked very beautiful, wore a Lei.
They sent us some beautiful pictures of their wedding.

They married on Valentine's Day so that we could always remember their wedding each year.

I gave our son Erik,a guitar for his birthday, that he could become a performer.
We will always remember this special wedding.

He would serenade his wife and write poems for her,
They had a very romantic friendship and they grew up together and fell in love.

Society is living their dream I say,
I will always remember this son and his lovely wife.

I think when he used to come and visit his mother Gwen,
He brought me a Poinsetta at Christmas which is very thoughtful.

Christmas Love

Christmas love,
When Christmas comes I will think of you my handsome prince.

Christmas love,
The miracle days when we meet with all my beautiful relatives.

Christmas love,
Writing Christmas cards and letters to relatives and friends.

Christmas love,
Presents wrapped beautifully for relatives and friends.

Christmas love,
I will remember Gwen's beautiful Christmas wedding to my husband Walter.

Christmas love,
The many blessings Walter and I were blessed with two handsome children, Kirk and Erik.

Christmas love,
I will remember Kirk and Jenn's wedding and their beautiful children Maya and Merrick.

Christmas love,
The memory of Lisette and Erik's wedding in Costa Rica.

Christmas love,
Kindness to your neighbors and friends

Hopes and Dreams

God has hopes and dreams for us,
I dream of getting married to a handsome man again.

Dream of buying a beautiful cottage,
Living in the true north,

I hope to become a performer,
Used to play the piano for teas.

I even sang an Elvis song,
 For the dinning-hall unrehearsed,

My favorite neighbors applauded,
Liking my offstage performance.

I sang with the Mississauga churches,
My favorite was to sing with the folk music group.

We would practice during the week,
On stage on Sundays, very fulfilling and good company.

I was a back-up singer with the local church.
My son Erik was in the audience.

He used to bring me a Poinsetta at Christmas,
Kirk married Jenn and now they have beautiful children, Maya and Merrick.

Erik married Lisette and they had a beautiful Hawain Wedding,
Costa Rica was their chosen holiday.

We remember these good experiences,
God has blessed us and we should always have hopes and dreams.

Love Letters In the Sand

While living at our parents and grandparent's house in Lorne Park,
We used to walk along the seashore of Jack Darling Park

My youngest son Erik and I,
My oldest son Kirk was at school.

I would take along a stick and draw a palace in the sand,
Divorced in those days.

We would skip stones in the water,
A pastime my children and I enjoyed.

Days where we get a picnic lunch and went to Jack Darling.
We would toss the frisbee around.

Then we would go to the Lorne Park library and Erik would stay with the children,
While mother took classes on how to cope as a single parent.

We would see their father now and then as a friend,
The children went on to be well-educated and both children married.

Erik married his school sweetheart Lisette,
Kirk married his friend Jenn and they met as missionares.

I think of these beautiful memories,
I thank God, you cannot always predict the future.

I pray that God continues to keep us safe,
He always watches over us.
