Stalking the riverbed whiskering away!
A red-tailed catfish, and, it ain't out to play!
The electric catfish can light up one's day,
Eat it fresh caught, their better that way.
The cuckoo catfish is clever, I'd say,
In mouthbrooder clutches its eggs it will lay!
There is a croaking catfish, indeed I do say.
If you catch it you'll hear it, well you may?
Then there is the Well's, a lot of anglers will pay.
This catfish is big, over 500lbs it can weigh.
They call it sport, as it battles to hold them at bay,
"For four hours" the angler brags, "I had to play".
The bristle nose catfish purrs, did I say?
If I did, it was my jokeink, it led me astray.

No one else sleeps
where I lay my head.
My empty bed.
My nest.
My safety zone of rest.
I’m such a child at times,
to be so grown
and sleeping alone
doesn’t seem to be
the thing that I see
in the future for a girl like me.
I am- -I seem to say
in my head of course as I lay
buried in the feather tick
with Gram’s linsey- woolsey
still so warm and thick
pressed against my cheek.
Sometime’s I think
I smell her hair and
while lying there
just for a moment --
a single moment
I do feel her with me.
Oh, I hope she can see
how much I miss her.
She was and she felt
the feelings that stir
and needle and pelt
the inner me as I melt
from the child who clings
to the old self while the new rises.
Inspired by the portrait--"sleeping child"

She has the same laugh
and the same past
Does not see the masks i wear
protective nurturer that is my sister
She has the same frown crease
to a lesser extent
Both strong minded
like two hurricanes meeting
but in the eye of the storm
stubborn angry unconditional love
She has the same star sign
but we posses different traits
i taught her songs silliness and swear words
She makes me proud
Often told "your so like linsey"
"No" I say with my familiar frown breaking into a matter of fact smile
"Shes just like me"
Im sure she has the same reply
