I lingered by the seaside on a cold and frosty morning,
The dark clouds overhead were billowing out a warning
Feeling them calling to me in a manner of some gloom.
That I would be better off watching them from my room.
I aimed to linger longer so took no notice of the clouds.
An imposing storm would surely keep away the crowds.
I gleefully watched the tiny sand crabs scurry to and froe,
Sensing the storm coming, weren’t sure which way to go.
I casually lingered up the stairs that led to the main street,
There I spied the ice-cream shop, decided to have a treat.
Flavour would me a momentous decision. It took a while.
Now which, Banana Rama or Choc Cherry made me smile.
Enjoying my cone, I lingered on watching folk all scatter.
Rain by now was pouring down, to me it didn’t matter.
Many were in the little café, no doubt they took refuge.
Looking over to the sea, the waves now were really huge.
Thunder crashed and lightning flashed, the rain fell down.
I lingered slowly under awnings to the other side of town.
Watched cars slowing down and splash in a puddle or two.
I lingered further, might as well I had nothing better to do.

Memories sweet or pity
May be seen through dark glasses
I cherished the memories of the time we once spent together
When we are young
The scenery shimmered through the morning haze
The blue sky looked soft and low
The mountains looked youthfully green
The waves of the sea danced sentimentally
Soft inquisitive voices of the sea murmured like the tick-tock of a clock
The sceneries are still lingering on my dark glasses
Whenever I put it on nowadays
And so dark glasses is believed to be
The camera film of the memories of
The unforgetable past

The sunrise serenades
a sleepy distant horizon
in sweet echoed harmonies,
swept softly on a cool breeze
of September’s lingered whispers
across an autumn watercolor sky
singing I love you…
hoping to find your smile

And I lingered there...
felt the breeze; such rush of air
and I couldn't feel the need to care
just my hands in wading; no despair
as my head fell to the ground
and new strangers had gathered 'round
I couldn't smile or feel a sound
my eyes felt wide but shutting down
and with bright light fading to hymn
I felt my soul go up; no sin
and with no thoughts to hush my skies
I pondered how, a why; to cry
but then, last touch had cave me in
for I saw her, hands so cringed
and then I wanted to stay more
how I love her...such adore
and with my eyes closing so slow
and with my mouth wanting word: go
I had to leave my heart for last
cause with my body she'll have to pass...
And I lingered there.
