What
The man across the street beats his wife.
The woman on the left side cheats, on Wednesdays.
The man and his wife in back, well… it is a sad deal.
Their children are on drugs and steal all that they can.
What can I say? What should I do?
Lord, I kneel on bended knee, I have no idea where to begin.
My own list is a mile long. I have done this, I have done that.
I am sorry. I will probably do it all again.
I am weak, and full of fault.
I ask humbly for guidance. Lead me on the path.
Your light shine before me, that my feet will know the way.
My heart will be still, as I know there is no need to fear.
Danger is real, all else is waste.
You have created all things, including me,
and I am small. My value… worthy…
as I have read your WORD!
Now I move on down the list, my family it is a mess.
This one is getting married, that one is going off to war.
Children with hardships, yet not understood…
Parents faced with disaster, the death of dreams.
Lives stolen by chance, directed by higher-ups.
Lineless nations, angry people, sad historians weep.
Still, I am here. My head is bowed.

Sundance kid standing astride the darkened clouds
Freckles palling her lineless face,
She is a hero, in her cranium the goddess bows.
Down on earth she is out of place,
The clouds are standardized above our heads,
You think you feel and love but she
Will keep smiling
Till your grey in the face.
