Lilium Lancifolium
Indigenous to the Far East
Springing from a bulb
Beautiful Pink tiger lily, hybrid from orange tiger lily
Such a sunny disposition
You are a beauty whether gracing a garden
Or presented in bulb form on an Asian’s plate,
You are a staple for centuries
Attractive to butterflies

Stargazer Lilium,
known for her perfume-
blossoming mid-to-late summer
she arises in pure blooming serenity.
My garden is feeding her with delight;
for her seeds are gems nourishing the soil.
She is oriental in origin;
gazed upon as a symbol of hope,
revealing what mother nature embraces-
reaching heights of thirty-six inches,
blossoming up to eight flower
buds per stem.
Shades of -
tangerine
pink
medallion
ivory -
glimmer over my garden late July.
Soon, Autumn will wear crimson and my
beautiful Stargazers shall perish-
but I shall anticipate their
arrival next Summer.

Nacreous and opaline iridescence
Scattered through my gated garden
Million white tendered blossoms
Oozing intoxicating perfumed bursts
Most divine exotic jasmine
Beaded lily of the valley
Melodramatic calla lily
Trumpet playing lilium
Oversized amaryllis
Inspirited hyacinth
Lotuslike magnolia
Tall spiky foxgloves
Rock garden candytuft
Innocence of baby’s breath
Exalting nacre for my opalescent muse

As the dew lies upon the grass
Like silver on the ring
And the fog coats the green pines
After last night's blowing rain
A sun rises below the gray
Bright shining hides the stars
Each plant awaits sun's strong rays
Reaching from somewhere afar
The trumpet vines' orange flowers
Make nectar for birds and bees
A waxy columbine attracts
Come feed on nectar please
All trump blossoms are not so sweet
Some produce smelly stink
But his charisma draws the crowds
A slanted speech in pink
The woody honeysuckle blooms
A rich aromatic scent
Its trumpet flowers draw hummers
Nectar abundant present
Devil's trumpet dark nectar draws
An unusual crowd
Those on moral decline hey come
Lilium formosanum shroud
Foxglove a deadly trumpet plant
Small doses gives heart rebirth
The show has gone on~on
I'd say we got our dollar's worth
The political campaign has been an ongoing show
Hey we got our one dollar campaign contribution's
worth..LOL

They were named the Dolomites,
the Pale Mountains of Belluno,
for their limestone, jagged peaks
and shaped splintered spires;
and they're more breathtaking even without snow!
In this region, spring is so colorful and lovely
with its lilium parvum and misurina wildflowers
waving in those grassy meadows
so frequented by busy butterflies.
In the winter season, skiers,
bundle up in their warm sport's attire,
challenging their strength and curiosity;
while below, in wooden brown huts,
coffee is sipped in hot cups,
and steaming polenta is eaten with delight.
Alaska has bears and penguins;
in this region of Belluno,
the paradise of the Alps,
only cows are seen grazing,
and unbridled horses galloping
through grasslands looked above
by sleek Churches' steeples.
Climbers and trekkers follow their trials
and indulge in peace and solitude,
hoping to reach their highest peak and contemplate altitude;
that's plenty of endurance and patience to see their ego glow!
