Stargazer Lilium
Stargazer Lilium,
known for her perfume-
blossoming mid-to-late summer
she arises in pure blooming serenity.
My garden is feeding her with delight;
for her seeds are gems nourishing the soil.
She is oriental in origin;
gazed upon as a symbol of hope,
revealing what mother nature embraces-
reaching heights of thirty-six inches,
blossoming up to eight flower
buds per stem.
Shades of -
tangerine
pink
medallion
ivory -
glimmer over my garden late July.
Soon, Autumn will wear crimson and my
beautiful Stargazers shall perish-
but I shall anticipate their
arrival next Summer.
