Why's your jaded tongue so slyly used
To words buttered with ensnaring tone;
Piping fibs empirical proofs poorly prop,
Waxing lies into truth's patented throne?
I with all joints and full sinews distrust
Grandiose jibes oiled by your tired lips;
And luckily mock all façades and crust
With which you gild your tempting trips.
No backing writs your warping crafts
Uphold with faintest discernible facts;
Nor do your self-blotting points agree
With any of the truth-tied deities three.
And not for tons of pleasure-lilied wiles
May I in dream your baiting tunes sing;
And neither for gain of full cosmic clout
Might my soul fall for your deking miles.
Man's indeed contented heart only craves
Pure verity as passed by its martyr slaves.

Steal not those things from nature,
which God, has made for all.
That babbling brook, that lilied field,
or the stately Redwood tall.
Pollute not our mountain streams
nor loose things in the air.
These things no man can ever own,
God's placed them in our care.
He's placed upon a thousand hills,
the cattle there to graze.
Eyes of faith he's blessed us with,
as we peer through life's haze.
Still not those babies yet unborn,
being loaned to us to raise.
But with love correct and nurture them,
While giving God all the praise.
I've no idea just how big God is,
just that he's big enough.
To right the wrongs that man has done,
For him no jobs too tough.

Sandy Times
Trundling over soft
feet deteriorating downwards
Attempting migration
to impenetrable grains
Dramatic curving seas
landscaped for eyes to dance upon
Cloudy lilied surf
circumnavigates at the foot
Colourful daystar
skulks dreamingly away
Big whites enshroud
the navigating splendor
Scattered coral
Impinges the mind
Pebbles placed into
Intriguing decorations
On now rigid sand
Destinations met
The soul refreshed
Remembering
enjoying
Sandy times
